Local Swimrunners are beginning to train more intenscely and piece by piece things starts to fit together to build a fantastic swimrun event. We are proud today to announce that we are putting in SEK for the first team(s) that goes under 5 hours on the Original course. The SUB 5 hours price money, sprint prizes and prize table will make the total prize value SEK. Let s get this party started with some more information and changes in this second newsletter. 2 [7] LIGHT COURSE CHANGE Due to logistics and safety reasons we change back the start to Gullvik for the Light cateagoryorie. This means that all participants will start at the same time in Gullvik.

This means that all participants will start at the same time in Gullvik. The Light category will finish on Trysunda island. You will leave your after-race bag at the pier in Gullvik at am. At the finish you will get some recovery drinks, get your after race bag, take a shower and sauna. There is a small restaurant on the island. If you want to buy anything, please do, but don t eat too much because the Red Lion Pop Up Restaurant is waiting for you! 6 6 [7] SAFETY / RULES We have added 2 rules to the mandatory gear. This rules forces you to have an bungecord during all swims and a inflatable bouy. This rules stays, besides the first swim of 200 meters around the two bouyes. On the first swim you are allowed NOT be attached and use the bouy. This change is becuase of the risk of racers getting trapt in boungecords in the water. The new rules We will add 2 rules to the mandatory gear All teams must be attached to each other during all swims, recommended a 3 meter bungecord. Every team need a light inflatable bouey attached to one of the teammembers during all swims. This is how it looks: Höga Kusten Swimrun is an uniqe event, with tough swims (original course) and it s held in the middle of the season for tourism in the area. That means it s a lot of boats and people in the area and we want with this 2 rules make the race even safer, by increasing the visibility on the swimmers and guarantee that we don t have any lonely swimmers. Remember to attach the whistle to the wetsuit, for easy access. The organisation are even encreasing the number of boats, jet skis and safety personal to make the race as safe as possible. SCEDULE SATURDAY JULY Registration opens at Race site in Gullvik Mandatory Safey briefing LIGHT participants leaves the finishbag at the pier for transport to Trysunda START. Gullvik Estimated arrival for the winners of Light categorie in Trysunda Estimated arrival for the winners in the Original catagorie Boat transport for Light participants from Trysunda to Gullvik Prize cermonie for both Light and Original THE RED LION POP-UP RESTAURANT is open. BREAKING SUB 5 PRICE MONEY SEK The first team(s) that goes under 5 hours on the Original Course will get SEK to share. This means that if only one team makes it, they get everything. If there are more teams that conquer the course under 5 hours they share equal. The team(s) must of course complete the full course without breaking any rules. The time counts on the last team member over the finish line.
