Fuller Stadium This Week on the Track - UNLV Invitational Red Raider track and field will travel to Sin City for the UNLV Invitational, in Las Vegas, Nev., Sat. April 1. Joining Tech on the track, along with the hosting Running Rebels, will be Northern Arizona, Dayton, Southern Illinois, Manhattan University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and St. John s. Last weekend at the Wes Kittley Open, Tech tracksters posted 13 regional qualifying marks in seven events. Freshman D Andra Carter set a new school record and R.P. Fuller Stadium record in the discus in her first outdoor event as a Red Raider. Carter won the discus with a regional qualifying mark of 171-5, replacing the previous school record of 169-3, set by Megan Schuessler in Patience Knight finished second in the discus with a regional qualifying mark of Knight also finished second in the hammer throw with a toss of Tia Barginear set a new school record in the hurdles with her clocking of 1: She replaced the school record of 1:01.36, set in In the men s, the Red Raiders took a finish. won the event with a regional qualifying clocking of Michael Mathieu finished second with a Ryan Varner ran a personal-best 21.11, good for a third-place finish and a regional qualifying time.
