This form and the associated Information Requirement Booklet will help you prepare it. An assessment of effects is required so that you and others can understand what happens to the environment when you install a swing or pile mooring. This will help you to propose ways to minimise those effects to the council s satisfaction. Please note that the word environment includes the surrounding coastal water, adjoining land, any surrounding resource users, and local iwi. It is advised that you make an appointment with an appropriate council officer to discuss your application prior to lodging it. This will help you supply all the required information at the onset and ensure the efficient processing of your application. A. Site Details A.1 Where is the proposed mooring to be located? D.6 Is the proposed mooring required for a commercial enterprise whose function is dependent on being located in this area? D.7 Will the proposed mooring be the only mooring within the same embayment? D.8 Is the mooring to be located in an area designated as a mooring area in the Regional Coastal Plan for Northland? Consultation E.1 If written approvals are obtained from all parties that may be affected by the mooring, and the effects of your proposed mooring are minor, then the council is likely to process your application without public notification. Please see Information Requirement Booklet for details of who needs to be consulted. The Northland Regional Council can supply you with written approval forms to aid you with the consultation.
