1 Dear fellow Boating Enthusiast, Thank you for your enquiry with us. Please take the time to read through this document, and we will explain exactly how to get your boat booked. How to get your boat booking started: 1. First things first provide us with your requested dates and we will check boat availability for you. 2. Secondly, please see attached to this our Boat List with specifications and hire rates or visit 3. Thirdly, let us know which boat would suite you best (All boats are subject to availability) Documents you will need to provide: Copy of ID Copy of SAMSA Skipper Ticket Proof of Address (in the case if the client is towing a boat to an alternative location) Copy of Driver License (in the case if the client is towing a boat to an alternative location) Once we have received the documents and dates, we will generate your invoice and a 50% payment is payable to secure your boat booking. Deposits: A deposit of R (Boats Alpha, Bravo & Charlie) and R4500 (Boats Echo & Foxtrot) is required via EFT, credit card/debit card or cash for insurance purposes. When you return the hired boat, trailer, safety equipment, life jackets and accessories in good order, the deposit (ONLY once it reflects in our account) will be refunded within 7 working days after the boat is returned. PLEASE NOTE: Boat s & Trailers towed on gravel roads will incur a Cleaning Fee of R500 Collection & Return Policy: Our Operating hours are from 08:00am to 18:00pm Boat Collections - from 09:00am to 18:00pm on the date printed on your invoice. PLEASE NOTE: Day-Before collections available only by prior arrangement and boat availability. All Day-Before collections earlier than 16:00pm will incur an additional day rental. Boat Returns From 08:30am to 18:00pm on the date printed on your invoice. PLEASE NOTE: Day-After deliveries only by prior arrangement. All Day-After deliveries later than 08:30am will incur an additional day rental. Fuel Policy: On collection of any boat rental, the client will receive the boat with full fuel tanks (unleaded petrol ONLY) and it is required that the client returns the fuel tanks full. Day rates do not include fuel costs. Empty fuel tanks will be charged at R per quarter empty tank (Boat R per 6 Litres) and will be deducted from the deposit. Loss or Damage of equipment, accessories and/or boat & trailer PRICE LIST: On the day you collect your hire boat one of our representatives will provide you with a price list and explain in full detail the process of damages due (eg. Any/all propeller damage does not only incur the repair costs but also the engine will need to undergo a gearbox inspection). Ocean Image strives for the highest standards in safety and engine reliability making sure our clients are always safe on the water. Please reference list attached below. Poaching & Impounding Policy: Please note that Ocean Image condemns any sort of poaching and you as the client will be held legally and bindingly responsible for all/any costs incurred if you are found guilty of any illegal poaching activities. The client will be held financially accountable in full if one of our vessels are impounded or any fines are incurred; you as the client will also be financially liable in the event that one of our boats are impounded and will be liable to pay, as per your rental agreement, for each day until the boat is returned to Ocean Image. Launching Fees, Additional Permit Costs and Boat Delivery Charges: The rental day rates do not include any additional launching fees or permit costs that may incur at any particular launch site. If the client is not a member at the specified launch area or boating club, the client will be responsible for the extra charges. In the case of Ocean Image Boat Rentals launching and retrieving a boat for you, an additional charge of R is charged (this fee applies only for launches in Granger bay at the Oceana Power Boat Club slip). Any boat retrievals after trading hours will incur a sur charge of R per hour. If you would like a boat delivered to your desired boating area there will be a delivery cost of R8.00 p/km prior arrangements are of importance. PLEASE NOTE: SURF LAUNCH WITH OCEAN IMAGE PROPERTY IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED. NO COMPLIANCE WILL GRANT PENALTIES. Fare Weather Policy: Bad Weather on your boating day? Do not panic! If, on the day of you wanting to launch (in the Cape Town area) and the weather is not suitable, we will gladly move your booking to an alternative date that suites you best. Prior arrangements are necessary so that we can ensure you have a boat available. We hope you find this information in good order, and hope to hear from you soon.
