2 و غ ل م ح م د و أ ل م ح م د م ص ألل O' Allāh send Your blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammad

3 ب ش م ألل ي ألر ح ألر ح م ن م In the Name of Allāh, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. bi-smi llahi r-rahmani r-rahimi

4 م ان م ل إ ه أ ص ا ل م أ ل و ف ع م ال و ل ب و ن لل م أ O Allāh. I am asking for your protection against the Day when nothing like wealth or children will be of use allaahumma innee as-alukal amaana yawma laa yanfa-u maalun wa laa banoonun

5 ب ص ل م ي ب كل إ ل م ن أث ألل and only that person will benefit who will come with a pure heart. (Holy Quran - 26:88) illaa man atallaaha biqalbin saleem

6 م ان م ػ ض و أ ص ا ل م أ ل د ي ك ل ألظ ال م غ ل And I am asking for your protection against the day when a wrong doer will be biting the back of his hands in regret and will be saying, wa as-alukal amaana yawma ya-a z z uz z aalimu a laa yadayhi ya qoolu

7 ت م ع ألر ا ل ج و أث خذ ص ب ال Munajaat Imam Ali ص ل (A) Oh I wish I had chosen the way chosen by the Prophet (of Allāh). (Holy Quran - 25:27) yaa laytanittakhad tu ma-a rrasooli sabeelaa

8 م ان م ػ ر ف و أ ص ا ل م أ ل أل م ج ر م ن ب ش م ا م And I am asking you for your protection against the Day when sinners will be known by their faces, wa as-alukal amaana yawma yu -raful mujrimoona biseemaahum

9 ل د أم ؤ خ ذ ب الو أص و أ ل ف and will be taken by their hair and feet. (Holy Quran - 55:41) fayoo-khad u bin nawaas ee wal aqdaam

10 م ان م ل ج ز ي أ ص ا ل م أ ل د و و أل د غ ن و ل ى And I am asking you for your protection against the day when a father will not serve instead of his son, wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yajzee waalidun a n wlaadihee

11 ج از غ ن و أل د ى و ل م ل د ش ئ إ ن و غ د ألل ي ح ق nor will a son be punished instead of his father for anything, since Allāh has promised thus and His promise is true. (Holy Quran - 31:33) wa laa mawloodun huwa jaazin a n inna wa - dallaahi h aqq

12 م ان م ل و ف ع و أ ص ا ل م أ ل ألظ ال م ن م ػ ذ ر ث م And I am asking for your protection against the Day when apologizing of the wrongdoers will not do them any good, wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yanfa-u z z aalimeena ma -d iratuhum

13 ألد أر ػ و و ل م ألل م ص ء ة و ل and because of that they will be cursed and will be put in the evil abode (of Jahannam). (Holy Quran - 40:52) wa lahumul la -natu wa lahum soo-ud daar

14 م ان م ل ث م ل م و أ ص ا ل م أ ل ه ف س ل و ف س ش ئ And I am asking for your protection against the Day when nobody will have control over anybody, wa as-alukal amaana yawma laa yamliku nafsun linafsin shay-an

15 ي م ر م ئ ذ ل ل و أ ل and the power will belong to Allāh (alone) that Day. (Holy Quran - 82:19) wal amru yawma-id in lillaah

16 م ر ء م ان م ف ر أل و أ ص ا ل م أ ل م ن أ خ ي و أ م ي و أ ب ي And I am asking for your protection against the Day when a person will run away from his brother, his mother, his father, wa as-alukal amaana yawma yafirrul mar-u min akheehi wa ummihee wa abeehee

17 و ص اح ب ج ي و ب و ي ل ن و أم ر ى ء م و م م ئ ذ ش ا ن غ و ي his wife and children. That Day every person will have what he has earned for himself. (Holy Quran - 80:34) wa s aah ibatihee wa baneehee likulli amree-in minhum yawma-id in shaanun yughneehi

18 م ج ر م م ان م د أل و أ ص ا ل م أ ل ل ف ج د ي م ن غ ذ أب م ئ ذ ب ب و ي And I am asking for your protection against the Day when the sinner would wish that he could ransom the wrath of Allāh descending on him at that time with his children, wa as-alukal a-maana yawma ya-waddul mujrimu law yaftadee min a d aabi yawmaid im bibaneehee

19 ج و ص اح ب ج ي و أ خ ي و ف ص ل ي ج ث ؤ و ي أل his wife, his brother and his relatives who gave him shelter, wa s aahibatihee wa akheehee wa fas eelatil latee tooweehi

20 ر ض ج م ػا ث م و م ن ف أ ل و ج ي and all those on earth, so that he be saved. wa man fil arz l jamee-a n thumma yunajjeehi

21 ز أغ ة ل لش ى ظ ه ال إ ه ا ل ه No, never can he escape (the wrath of Allāh, which will be in the form of) burning fire, roasting him. (Holy Quran - 70:11-16) kallaa innahaa laz aa nazzaa-a tal lish-shawaa

22 ا و أه م ل م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت أل د أل ػ ب My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Master and I am the slave, mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mawlaa wa anal a bdu

23 م ل إ ل أل و و ر ح م أل ػ ب د and who else can be merciful to the slave except the Master? wa hal yarh amul a bda illal mawlaa

24 م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت أل م ال م و أه ا أل م م ل ك My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Owner and I am the one owned by You. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal maaliku wa anal mamlooku

25 إ ل أل م ال م و و ر ح م أل م م ل ك Who else can be merciful to the owned except the Owner? wa hal yarh amul mamlooka illal maalik

26 م ل ي ا ا م ل ي أه ت أل ػ ز ز و أه ألذ ل و My Lord, O my Lord, You are Mighty and I am low. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antla a zeezu wa anad d aleelu

27 ل و إ ل أل ػ ز ز و و ر ح م ألذ Who else can be merciful to the low except the Mighty? wa hal yarh amud d aleela illal a zeez

28 م ل ي خ ق و ا م ل ي أه ت أل ال أه ا أل م خ ل ق My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Creator and I am the creature. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal khaaliqu wa anal makhlooqu

29 خ ق خ ل ق إ ل أل ال و و ر ح م أل م Who else can be merciful to the creature except the Creator? wa hal yarh amul makhlooqa illal khaaliq

30 م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت أل ػ ظ م و أه ا أل ح ك ر My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Glorious and I am the miserable. mawlaaya yaa mawlaay antal a zeemu wa anal h aqeeru

31 ك ر إ ل أل ػ ظ م و و ر ح م أل ح Who else can be merciful to the miserable except the Glorious? wa hal yarh amul h aqeera illal a zeem

32 م ل ي ا ك ي و أه ا م ل ي أه ت أل ألض ػ ف My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Powerful and I am the weak. mawlaaya yaa mawlaay antal qawiyyu wa anal za eefu

33 ك ي ػ ف إ ل أل و و ر ح م ألض Who else can be merciful to the weak except the Powerful? wa hal yarh amul za eefa illal qawiy

34 م ل ي ا ا م ل ي أه ت أل غ و و أه أل ف ك ر My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Wealthy and I am the poor. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ghaniyyu wa anal faqeeru

35 ك ر إ ل أل غ و و و ر ح م أل ف Who else can be merciful to the poor except the Wealthy? wa hal yarh amul faqeera illal ghaniyy

36 م ل ي م ػ ط و ي أه ت أل ا م ل ا ألش ائ و أه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Bestower and I am the beggar. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mu -t ee wa anas saa-ilu

37 م ػ ائ و ط إ ل أل و و ر ح م ألش Who else can be merciful to the beggar except the Bestower? wa hal yarh amus saaila illal mu -t ee

38 م ل ي ا ا م ل ي أه ت أل ح و أه أل م ت My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Living and I am the dead. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal h ayyu wa anal mayyitu

39 ت إ ل أل ح و و ر ح م أل م Who else can be merciful to the dead except the Living? wa hal yarh amul mayyita illal h ayy

40 م ل ي ا ا م ل ي أه ت أل ب ال و أه أل ف اه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Eternal and I am the transient. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal baaqee wa anal faanee

41 أل ف اه إ ل أل ب ال و و ر ح م Who else can be merciful to the transient except the Eternal? wa hal yarh amul faanee illal baaqee

42 م ل ي ا ا م ل ي أه ت ألد أئ م و أه ألز أئ و My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Permanent and I am the short-lived. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal daa-imu wa anaz zaa-ilu

43 إ ل ألد أئ م ألز أئ و و و ر ح م Who else can be merciful to the shortlived except the Permanent? wa hal yarh amuz zaaila illad daa-im

44 م ل ي ت ألر أز ق و ا م ل ي أه أل م ر ز وق ا أه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Provider and I am the blessed. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar raaziqu wa anal marzooqu wa anal marzooqu

45 ز وق إ ل ألر أز ق و و ر ح م أل م ر Who else can be merciful to the blessed except the Provider? wa hal yarh amul marzooqa illar raaziq

46 م ل ي ج أد و ا م ل ي أه ت أل أل ب خ و ا أه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Generous and I am the miser. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ja waadu wa anal bakheelu

47 أل ج أد خ و إ ل و و ر ح م أل ب Who else can be merciful to the miser except the Generous? wa hal yarh amul bakheela illal jawaad

48 م ل ي م ػ اف و ي أه ت أل ا م ل م ب ج ل ا أه أل My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Free and I am the afflicted. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mua afee wa anal mubtalaa

49 م ػ اف ل أل ل إ و و ر ح م أل م ب ج Who else can be merciful to the afflicted except the Free? wa hal yarh amul mubtalaa illal mu-a afee

50 م ل ي ا ن ر و أه ا م ل ي أه ت أل ب ألص غ ر My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Great and I am the insignificant. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal kabeeru wa anas s agheeru

51 غ ر إ ل أل ن ب ر و و ر ح م ألص Who else can be merciful to the insignificant except the Great? wa hal yarh amus s agheera illal kabeer

52 م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت أل اد ي و ا ألضال أه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Leading and I am the straying. mawlayaa yaa mawlaaya antal hadee wa anaz z allu

53 ال إ ل أل اد ي و و ر ح م ألض Who else can be merciful to the straying except the Leading? wa hal yarh amuz z aalla illal haadee

54 م ل ي ت ألر ح م ن و ا م ل ي أه أه ا أل م ر ح م My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Merciful and I am the one shown mercy. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar rah maanu wa anal marh oomu

55 إ ل ألر ح م ن و و ر ح م أل م ر ح م Who else can be merciful to the one shown mercy except the Merciful? wa hal yarh amul marh ooma illar rah maan

56 م ل ي ت ألش ا م ل ي أه أه ا أل م م ج ح ن ط ان و ل My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Authority and I am the tried. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antas sult aanu wa anal mumtah anu

57 و و ر ح م م م ج ح ن أل إ ل ان ألش ل ط Who else can be merciful to the tried except the Authority? wa hal yarh amul mumtah ana illas sult aan

58 م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت ألد ل و ا أل م ج ح ر و أه My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Guide and I am the confused. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antad daleelu wa anal mutah ayyiru

59 ر إ ل ألد ل و و و ر ح م أل م ج ح Who else can be merciful to the confused except the Guide? wa hal mutah ayyira ilad daleel

60 م ل ي ر و ي أه ت أل غ ف ذ أل م ا م ل ا أه ه ب My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Forgiver and I am the sinner. mawlaaya antal ghafooru wa anal mud nibu

61 ه ب إ ل أل غ ف ر و و ر ح م أل م ذ Who else can be merciful to the sinner except the Forgiver? wa hal yrh amul mud nibu illal ghafoor

62 م ل ي ا م ل ي أه ت أل غ ال ب و أه ا أل م غ ل ب My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Victor and I am the defeated. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal ghaalibu wa anal maghloobu

63 إ ل أل غ ال ب و و ر ح م أل م غ ل ب Who else can be merciful to the defeated except the Victor? wa hal yarh amul maghlooba illal ghaalib

64 م ل ي ت ألر ب و ا م ل ي أه ا أه ب أل م ر ب My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Nourisher and I am the nourished. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antar rabbu wa anal marboobu

65 إ ل ألر ب و و ر ح م أل م ر ب ب Who else can be merciful to the nourished except the Nourisher? wa hal yarh amul marbooba illar rabb

66 م ل ي ه ت أل م ج ن ا م ل ي أ أه ا أل خ اش ع ب ر و My Lord, O my Lord, You are the Highhanded and I am the humble. mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya antal mutakabbiru wa anal khaashi-u

67 اش ع إ ل أل م ج ن ب ر و و ر ح م أل خ Who else can be merciful to the humble except the High-handed? wa hal yarh amul kaashi-a illal mutakabbir

68 و م ل ي ي أر ح م ا م ل ب ر ح م ج م My Lord, O my Lord, have mercy on me by Your Kindness, mawlaaya yaa mawlaaya arh amnee birah matika

69 و أر ض غ و ب ج د ك و ه ر م م و ل م ف ض and be pleased with me by Your Generosity and Your Magnanimity and Your Grace. warz a a nnee bijoodika wa karamika wa faz lika

70 ا ذ أ أل ج د و أ ل ح ش ان و ألط ل و أ ل م ج و ان O the Generous, and Beneficent, O the Almighty and the Benefactor, yaa d al joodi wal ih saani wat t ooli wal imtinaani

71 ر ح م ألر ب ر ح م ج م ا أ أح م ن by Your Mercy, O the Most Kind. birah matika yaa arh amar raaha imeen
