2 Duá Mashlool Merits د ؾ اء الم ش ل ل The effective prayer is undoubtedly an inspired work. Any one who is acquainted with the soul-stirring experience of great religious thoughts cannot help seeing in these immortal words of Imam Ali (A) the dazzling light of Universal Truth. Imam Husain (A) related that once on a cold, wintry night he accompanied his father Imam Ali (A) to the Sacred Mosque of the Kaaba and performed the circumambulations. The night was pitch dark and there was no one there except his father and himself. Every one was asleep. They heard a mournful voice of some one reciting the following poem: "O You who answers the prayers of the disconsolate in the depth of darkness; O You who wards off the baneful influences of calamities and diseases. Lo, those who surrounded the Kaaba sleep and wake up; But You, Exalted be Your Name, never sleeps. Forgive me by the Grace of Your Bounty and Your Mercy. O ALLAH, towards whom all creation bows down in this Sanctuary! If Your Mercy be not such as gives hope to the transgressors, Then who is there to take pity on the sinners by His Bounty?"

3 Duá Mashlool Merits د ؾ اء الم ش ل ل Imam Husain (A) related the rest of the story: My father sent me towards the man who was reciting these lines of poetry and I brought him with me into his presence. Imam Ali (A) asked his name and he said, "My name is Manzil Ibn Lahiq. In my youth I was persisting in sin, while my father used to guide me towards repentance. But I heeded him not. Instead of listening to him I used to beat him. Now it came to pass that my father had kept some money hidden away from me. One day I found it and was going out with the money, to spend it on my follies, when he stopped me and tried to take it away from me, but I twisted his wrist and ran away with the money. Thereupon my father kept a fast and went and performed the rites of the Sacred Mosque. Then he lifted up his hands and prayed that God may inflict upon me the disease of paralysis. Hardly had he done so when I was struck with paralysis and my father went back to his home. I then besought my father to pray for my recovery in the same place where he had prayed for my affliction.

4 Duá Mashlool Merits د ؾ اء الم ش ل ل My father, in his infinite love and kindness, granted my request and we both set out towards Mecca, but as my ill-luck would have it, on the way thither my father's camel suddenly took fright and he was thrown from its back and killed in a moment. Now I am left to spend the rest of my days in this condition, helpless and forlorn, and people taunt me, saying that I am being punished for courting my father's displeasure." On hearing the sad tale, Imam Ali (A) was moved by pity and compassion and taught him the following prayer and said: "Perform the ablutions and recite this prayer tonight". He did so, and the effect was miraculous! Next morning when he came to my father, he was perfectly cured and carried the text of the prayer in his right hand and exclaimed, "Really this prayer is the 'Isme Azam' because when I lifted up my hands and read this dua several times, a deep sleep fell upon me and I dreamt that the Holy Prophet Mohamed (pbuh&hf) came and massaged my body with his own hands.

5 Duá Mashlool Merits د ؾ اء الم ش ل ل When I woke up, I found that the illness had completely departed from me. May God reward thee, O Amir ul Momineen (A) for this miraculous prayer." In view of the above mentioned incident, this dua is called prayer of the paralytic. Imam Husain (A) continues to state that this dua contains the Isme Azam. Whoever recites it will be relieved of sorrow; cured of illness; his debts will be paid up; his poverty will be changed to prosperity; his sins forgiven; his defects hidden; and he shall be granted safety and security from all evil, whether from Satan or from any worldly rulers, and if any of God's obedient servants recite this prayer, the mountains can be moved from their place; the dead can be restored to life and water can be turned into ice thereby. Hence this prayer has come to us as a source of rejoicing. Imam Husain (A) further directs that this prayer should never be recited in a state of impurity or pollution. This prayer is also referred to as "Dua-e-Khizr".

6 Duá Mashlool Merits د ؾ اء الم ش ل ل This du-a'a also known as "supplication of the youth stricken for his sin," is quoted from the work of Kaf-ami and from Muhaj al Da-wat by Sayyid ibn tawus. Recite this dua'a after Isha salat. It brings countless blessings. All your legitimate desires will be fulfilled. It drives away poverty and sickness. Sins are for given. Debts are cleared. Enemies become friends. Domestic affairs are set aright. Disputes are settled in your favour. Prisoners are set free mental worries disappear. Prosperity, sound mind and healthy body stand by you at all times. Mercy and forgiveness of sins are the main advantages the almighty Allah (swt) makes available if this dua'a is recited regularly.

8 ب ظ م الل ي الص خ م ن م الص خ In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. bismi allahi alrrahmini alrrahimi

9 د ؾ اء الم ش لل م إ ه ا ى اع ال ى ب اع م O Allah, verily I beseech You by Your Name: allahumma inni as'aluka bismika

10 الص خ م م ن الص خ ي الل ب ظ م In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. bismi allahi alrrahmani alrrahimi

11 ا ذ ا ال ج ال ل و اإل ص ا م O Lord of majesty and honor! ya dhaljalali wal-ikrami

12 ا خ ا و م O Ever-living! O Self-subsistent! ya hayyu ya qayyumu

13 إ ال اه ت إ ل ي ا خ ال O Ever-Living! There is no god but You! ya hayyu la ilaha illa anta

14 م م ا ا ا م ن ال ؿ ل O He Whom none knows what He is, ya huwa ya man la ya`lamu ma huwa

15 ك د ؾ اء الم ش و ال nor how He is, wa la kayfa huwa

16 و ال ا ن nor where He is, wa la ayna huwa

17 إ ال ح د ؾ اء الم ش و ال خ nor in what respect He is, but He! wa la haythu huwa illa huwa

18 ا ذ ا ي ى و ال م ال م ل ل ت O Possessor of dominion and kingdom! ya dhalmulki walmalakuti

19 و ت و ال ج بص الؿ ض ة ا ذ ا O Possessor of might and invincibility! ya dhal`izzati waljabaruti

20 وس ا ع ال م ا م ل ى ا وس O King! O All-holy! O Giver of peace! ya maliku ya quddusu ya salamu

21 ا م ؤ م ن ا م م ن O Granter of security! O All-preserver! ya mu'minu ya muhayminu

22 ا ؾ ض ض ا ج ب ار ا م ج ي ب ص O Almighty! O All-compeller! O Allsublime! ya `azizu ya jabbaru ya mutakabbiru

38 د ؾ اء الم ش ا و ا م O Guardian! O Surety! ya wakilu ya kafilu

39 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ه ا م و O Annuller! O Bestower! ya muqilu ya munilu

40 د ؾ اء الم ش ا ه ب ا د ل O All-noble! O Leader! ya nabilu ya dalilu

41 ا اد ي ا ب اد ي O Guide! O All-Apparent! ya hadiyu ya badi

47 د ؾ اء الم ش ا ل اص ا و اص O Separator! O Joiner! ya fasilu ya wasilu

48 ا ظ ا ص ا م ع ص O Pure! O Purifier! ya tahiru ya mutahhiru

49 ا و اد ر ا م ه ج س ر O All-powerful! O All-able! ya qadiru ya muqtadiru

50 ا ب ص ا م ج ي ب ص O All-great! O All-sublime! ya kabiru ya mutakabbiru

51 ا و اخ س ا اخ س ا ص م س O One! O Unique! O eternally Besought of all! ya wahidu ya ahadu ya samadu

52 م ل س ا م ن ل م ل س و ل د ؾ اء الم ش O He Who begets not and was not begotten, ya man lam yalid wa lam yulad

53 ين ل ي م ا اخ س د ؾ اء الم ش و ل م equal to Whom is none, wa lam yakun lahu kufwan ahadun

54 و ل م ي ص ين ل اخ ب ة Who has no consort, wa lam yakun lahu sahibatun

55 و ال ان م ؿ ي و ز ص with Him is no aide wa la kana ma`ahu wazirun

56 و ال ز ش صا م ؿ ي م ش اث nor has He taken any adviser, wa la ittakhadha ma`ahu mushiran

57 إ ل ا ج و ال اخ ج ػ ص nor needs He any assistant, wa la ihtaja ila zahirin

58 ان م ؿ ي و ال ف ص ى إ ل ي م ن nor with Him is any god but He wa la kana ma`ahu min ilahin ghayruhu

59 إ ال اه ت إ ل ي ال there is no god but You. la ilaha illa anta

60 ن ت ؾ م ا ه ل الؼ ال م ال ؾ ل ا ب صا ل ج ؿ د ؾ اء الم ش So exalted are You above what the evildoers say, a great exaltation! fata`alayta `amma yaqulu alzzalimuna `uluwwan kabiran

61 ا ؾ ل ا ش ام ذ ا ب ا ذخ O All-high! O All-lofty! O All-towering! ya `aliyyu ya shamikhu ya badhikhu

62 م اح ا م ص ث اح ا ل ج اح ا ه O All-opener! O All-diffuser! O Allrestful! ya fattahu ya naffahu ya murtahu

63 ا م م ص ج ا ه اص ص ا م و ج ص ص O Bestower of relief! O Helper! O Giver of victory! ya mufarriju ya nasiru ya muntasiru

64 ا م س ر ك ا م ل ى ا م و ج ه م O Comprehender! O Destroyer! O Avenger! ya mudriku ya muhliku ya muntaqimu

65 ا ب اؾ ح ا و ار ث O Upraiser! O Inheritor! ya ba`ithu ya warithu

66 ا ظ ا لب ا ف ا لب O Seeker! O Vanquisher! ya talibu ya ghalibu

67 ي ار ب ا م ن ال م ث د ؾ اء الم ش O He from Whom no fugitive can escape! ya man la yafutuhu haribun

68 ا ث اب ا او اب ا و اب O All-relenting! O All-forbearing! O Allbestower! ya tawwabu ya awwabu ya wahhabu

69 ا م ظ ب ب اب االع ب O Originator of all means! ya musabbiba al-asbabi

70 ا م م ج ح االب ا ب O Opener of all doors! ya mufattiha al-abwabi

71 ا م ن خ ح م ا د ؾ اج اب O He Who answers wherever He is called upon! ya man haythu ma du`iya ajaba

72 ا ظ ر ا ش ي ر O All-Pure! O All-thankful! ya tahuru ya shakuru

73 ا ؾ م ا ف م ر O Exempter! O Forgiver! ya `afuwwu ya ghafuru

74 ا ه ر الو ر O Light of light! ya nura alnnuri

75 ا م س ب ص االم ر O Director of all affairs! ya mudabbira al-umuri

76 ا ل ع ك ا ر ب ص O All-subtle! O All-aware! ya latifu ya khabiru

77 ا م ج ص ا م و ص O Protector! O Illuminator! ya mujiru ya muniru

78 ا ب ص ص ا ػ ص ا ب ص O All-seeing! O All-aiding! O All-great! ya basiru ya zahiru ya kabiru

80 ا اب س ا ع و س ا ص م س O Eternity without end! O Support! O Everlasting Refuge! ya abadu ya sanadu ya samadu

87 س ر ا م ن م ل ى له O He Who is master and exercises power! ya man malaka faqadara

88 ب ص ا م ن ب ع ن لز O He Who is inward and aware! ya man batana fakhabara

89 ا م ن ؾ ب س ل ش ي ص O He Who is worshipped and thankful! ya man `ubida fashakara

90 ا م ن ؾ ص ل ق م ص O He Who is disobeyed and forgives! ya man `usiya faghafara

91 ص ا م ن ال ث د ي ال م ي O He Who is not encompassed by thoughts, ya man la tahwihi alfikaru

92 و ال ي ب ص ص س ر nor perceived by vision, wa la yudrikuhu basarun

93 ص ؾ ل و ال ز م ي اخ and from Whom no trace remains hidden! wa la yakhfa `alayhi atharun

94 ص ال ب ش ا ر از ق O Provider of mankind! ya raziqa albashari

95 د ؾ اء الم ش و س ر ا م ه س ر O Determiner of every lot! ya muqaddira kulli qadarin

96 ا ؾ ال ال م ي ان O Lofty in place! ya `aliya almakani

97 ا ش س س االر ان O Firm in supports! ya shadida al-arkani

98 م ا ن الض ا م ب سل O Transformer of times! ya mubaddila alzzamani

99 اله ص ب ا ن ا و اب O Accepter of sacrifices! ya qabila alqurbani

100 ال م ن ا ذ ا و اإل خ ظ ا ن O Lord of graciousness and benevolence! ya dhalmanni wal-ihsani

101 ل عا ن و الظ ال ؿ ض ة ا ذ ا O Lord of might and force! ya dhal`izzati walssultani

102 ا ر خ م ا ر خ م ن O All-compassionate! O All-merciful! ya rahimu ya rahmanu

103 د ؾ اء الم ش م ل ش ان ا م ن O He Who is every day upon some labor! ya man huwa kulla yawmin fi sha'nin

104 ي ش ان ؾ ن ش ا م ن ال ش ق ل ان O He Who is not distracted from one labor by another! ya man la yashghaluhu sha'nun `an sha'nin

105 ا ؾ ؼ م الش ان O Tremendous in rank! ya `azima alshsha'ni

106 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ن ب ي م ي ان O He Who is in every place! ya man huwa bikulli makanin

107 ا ع ام ؽ االص ات O He Who hears all sounds! ya sami`a al-aswati

108 ا م ج ب ات الس ؾ O He Who answers all supplications! ya mujiba aldda`awati

109 ا م وج ح الع ل ب ات O He Who fulfils all entreaties! ya munjiha alttalibati

110 ا و اض ا ت ال د اج O He Who provides all needs! ya qadiya alhajati

111 ال ب ص ا ت ا م و ض ل O He Who sends down blessings! ya munzila albarakati

112 ص ات ال ؿ ب ا ر اخ م O He Who has mercy upon tears! ya rahima al`abarati

113 ال ؿ د ص ات ا م ه O He Who annuls slips! ya muqila al`atharati

114 ا اش ك ال ي ص ب ات O He Who removes troubles! ya kashifa alkurubati

115 ا و ل ال د ظ و ات O He Who sponsors good things! ya waliyya alhasanati

116 ات الس ر ج ا ر ال ؽ O He Who exalts in rank! ya rafi`a alddarajati

117 ا م ؤ ث ت الظ ؤ ال O He Who bestows requests! ya mu'tiya alssu'lati

118 ا م د االم ات O He Who gives life to the dead! ya muhyiya al-amwati

119 ا ج ام ؽ الش ج ات O He Who gathers all scattered things! ya jami`a alshshatati

120 ا م ع ل ؿا ؾ ل الو ا ت O He Who is aware of all intentions! ya muttali`an `ala alnniyyati

121 ا ر اد م ا و س ل ات O He Who brings back what has passed away! ya radda ma qad fata

122 ا م ن ال ث ش ج ب ي ؾ ل ي االص ا ت O He for Whom sounds are never indistinct! ya man la tashtabihu `alayhi al-aswatu

123 ت ا م ن ال ث ض ج ص ى اال ال م ظ O He Who never becomes annoyed at requests ya man la tudjiruhu almas'alatu

124 ق ش اى و ال ث الؼ ل م ا ت nor covered by shadows! wa la taghshahu alzzulumatu

125 ا ت و الظ م او ض االر ا ه ر O Light of the earth and the heavens! ya nura al-ardi walssamawati

126 ا ع ا ب م الو ؿ O Ample in blessings! ya sabigha alnni`ami

127 ا د ال ؽ الو هم O Repeller of adversities! ya dafi`a alnniqami

128 م الو ظ ا ب ار ئ O Maker of the breaths of life! ya bari'a alnnasami

129 ا ج ام ؽ االم م O He Who gathers together the nations! ya jami`a al-umami

130 م الظ ه ا ش ال O Healer of illnesses! ya shafiya alssaqami

131 ا ر ا لن الو ر م و الؼ ل O Creator of light and darkness! ya khaliqa alnnuri walzzulami

132 ال ج د ا ذ ا و ال ي ص م O Lord of munificence and generosity! ya dhaljudi walkarami

133 س م ؾ ص ش ي و ع ا ا م ن ال O He upon Whose Throne no foot treads! ya man la yata'u `arshahu qadamun

134 ا اج د االج د ن O Most Munificent of the most munificent! ya ajwada al-ajwadina

135 م ن اال ص ا ا ص م O Most Generous of the most generous! ya akrama al-akramina

136 ا اع م ؽ الظ ام ؿ ن O Most Hearing of the hearers! ya asma`a alssami`ina

137 ا اب ص ص الو اػ ص ن O Most Seeing of the viewers! ya absara alnnazirina

138 ج ص ن ال م ظ ج ا ج ار O Protector of those who seek protection! ya jara almustajirina

139 ا ام ان ال ز ائ م ن O Sanctuary of the fearful! ya amana alkha'ifina

140 ا ػ ص الال ج ن O Asylum of the refugees! ya zahra allaji'ina

141 م و ن ال م ؤ ا و ل O Patron of the believers! ya waliyya almu'minina

142 ا ف اث ق د ن ال م ظ ج O Helper of those who seek aid! ya ghiyatha almustaghithina

143 ا ف ا ة الع ا لب ن O Goal of the seekers! ya ghayata alttalibina

144 د ؾ اء الم ش ف ص ب ا ص اخ ب O Companion of every stranger! ya sahiba kulli gharibin

145 د ؾ اء الم ش و خ س ا م ؤ ه ط O Intimate of everyone alone! ya mu'nisa kulli wahidin

146 د ؾ اء الم ش ظ ص س ا م ل ج ا O Refuge of every outcast! ya malja'a kulli taridin

147 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م او ى ش ص س O Shelter of every wanderer! ya ma'wa kulli sharidin

148 د ؾ اء الم ش ض ال ة ا خ ال غ O Custodian of everyone astray! ya hafiza kulli dallatin

149 ا ر اخ م الش ذ ال ي ب ص O He Who is merciful to old men! ya rahima alshshaykhi alkabiri

150 د ؾ اء الم ش ا ر از ق الع م الص ق ص O He Who provides for small infants! ya raziqa alttifli alssaghiri

151 ا ج اب ص ال ؿ ؼ م ال ي ظ ص O He Who sets broken bones! ya jabira al`azmi alkasiri

152 د ؾ اء الم ش اع ص ا ل اك O He Who releases every prisoner! ya fakka kulli asirin

153 ال م ه ص ا م ق و ال ب ائ ط O He Who enriches the miserable pauper! ya mughniya alba'isi alfaqiri

154 ا ؾ ص م ة ال ز ائ ج ص ال م ظ ج ك O He Who safeguards the fearful seeker of protection! ya `ismata alkha'ifi almustajiri

155 و الج ب ص الج س ا م ن ل ي ه س ص O He Who governs and determines! ya man lahu alttadbiru walttaqdiru

156 د ؾ اء الم ش ال ؿ ظ ص ا م ن ؾ ل ي ع ظ ص O He for Whom the difficult is simple and easy! ya mani al`asiru `alayhi sahlun yasirun

157 ا م ن ال د ج اج ث م ظ ص إ ل O He Who never needs an explanation! ya man la yahtaju ila tafsirin

158 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ن ؾ ل ش ء و س ص O He Who is powerful over everything!' ya man huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadirun

159 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ن ب ي ش ء ر ب ص O He Who is aware of everything! ya man huwa bikulli shay'in khabirun

164 ا ح و الظ م ال ج د ا ذ ا O Lord of munificence and forbearance! ya dhaljudi walssamahi

165 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ن ب س ى م م ج اح O He in Whose Hand is every key! ya man biyadihi kullu miftahin

166 د ؾ اء الم ش ص ت ا ع ام ؽ O He Who hears every sound! ya sami`a kulli sawtin

167 د ؾ اء الم ش ل ت ا ع اب ن O He Who takes precedence over everything that passes away! ya sabiqa kulli fawtin

168 د ؾ اء الم ش ه م ط ب ؿ س ا م د ال م ت O He Who gives life to every soul after death! ya muhyiya kulli nafsin ba`da almawti

169 ا ؾ س ث ل ش س ث O my Provision in my hardship! ya `uddati fi shiddti

170 ا خ ال ؼ ل ف ص ب ج O my Maintainer in my exile! ya hafizi fi ghurbati

171 ا م ؤ ه ظ ل و خ س ث O my Intimate in my lonesomeness! ya mu'nisi fi wahdati

172 ا و ل ل ه ؿ م ج O my Sponsor in my blessings! ya waliyyi fi ni`mati

173 ا م خ ن ث ؿ و ا ب ال م ش O my haven when the ways make me weary, ya kahfi hina tu`yini almadhahibu

175 ش ل و ص اخ ب د ؾ اء الم ش و ز and when every companion forsakes me! wa yakhdhuluni kullu sahibin

176 ا ؾ م اد م ن ال ؾ م اد ل ي O Backing of him who has no backing! ya `imada man la `imada lahu

177 ا ع و س م ن ال ع و س ل ي O Support of him who has no support! ya sanada man la sanada lahu

178 ص م ن ا ذر ال ذ ر ص ل ي O Store of him who has no store! ya dhukhra man la dhukhra lahu

179 م ن ا خ ص ز ال خ ص ز ل ي O Sanctuary of him who has no sanctuary! ya hirza man la hirza lahu

180 ك ل ي ا ك م ن ال O Cave of him who has no cave! ya kahfa man la kahfa lahu

181 و ض ا و ض م ن ال ل ي O Treasure of him who has no treasure! ya kanza man la kanza lahu

182 ا ر ن م ن ال ر ن ل ي O castle of him who has no castle! ya rukna man la rukna lahu

183 ا ف اث م ن ال ف اث ل ي O Help of him who has no help! ya ghiyatha man la ghiyatha lahu

184 ا ج ار م ن ال ج ار ل ي O backer of him who has no backer! ya jara man la jara lahu

185 ا ج ار ي الل ص ن O my Adjacent Neighbor! ya jariya allasiqa

186 ا ر و ال خ ن O my Sturdy Pillar! ya rukniya alwathiqa

187 ه ن ب الج د ا إ ل O My God in truth! ya ilahi bilttahqiqi

188 ال ب ال ؿ ج ن ت ا ر ب O Lord of the Ancient House! ya rabba albayti al`atiqi

189 ا ش م ن ا ر ل ن O All-affectionate! O Friend! ya shafiqu ya rafiqu

190 ن ل ي و م ن خ ل ال م ض ن Deliver me from the chains of strictures, fukkani min halaqi almadiqi

191 Duá Mashlool و اص ص ف م و ف م ؾ و ل ل و ض ن د ؾ اء الم ش turn away from me every care, grief and distress, wasrif `anni kulla hammin wa ghammin wa diqin

192 ش ص م م و و ا ا ال اظ ن protect me from the evil of that which I cannot bear, wakfini sharra ma la utiqu

193 و اؾ و م ا اظ ن ؾ ل and help me in that which I am able to bear! wa a`inni `ala ma utiqu

194 ا ر اد ع ك ؿ ه ب ؾ ل O He Who returned Joseph to Jacob! ya radda yusufa `ala ya`quba

195 ا اش ك ض ص ا ب O He Who removed the affliction of Job! ya kashifa durri ayyuba

196 ب د او ود ا ف ال ص ذه O He Who forgave the sin of David! ya ghafira dhanbi dawuda

197 ا ر ال ؽ ؾ ظ ب ن م ص م و م وج ي د م ن ا س ي ال O He Who caused Jesus, the son of Mary, to ascend and delivered him from the hands of the Jews! ya rafi`a `isa ibni maryama wa munjiyahu min a y di alyahudi

198 ا م ج ب ه س اء ه ط ل الؼ ل م ات O He Who answered Jonah's call in the darkness! ya mujiba nida'i yunusa fi alzzulumati

199 ا م ص ع م م ع ب ال ي ل م ا ت O He Who chose Moses by spoken words! ya mustafiya musa bilkalimati

200 م ص ا م ن ف ج ي ال د م ر ع ئ O He Who forgave Adam his slip ya man ghafara li-adama khati'atahu

201 و ر ل ؽ إ د ر ط م ي اها ؾ ل ا ب ص خ م ج ي and raised Idris to a high place through his mercy! wa rafa`a idrisa makanan `aliyyan birahmatihi

202 ا م ن ه ج ه خا م ق الق ص ن O He Who saved Noah from drowning! ya man najja nuhan mina algharaqi

203 ا م ن ا ل ى ؾ ادا االول O He Who destroyed `Ad, the ancient, ya man ahlaka `adan al-ula

204 ل م ا و خ م د اب ه and Thamud, and did not spare them, wa thamuda fama abqa

205 و و م ه ح م ن و ب and the people of Noah before; wa qawma nuhin min qablu

206 و اظ ق د ؾ اء الم ش إ ه م اه ا م اػل م certainly, they were most unjust and more rebellious, innahum kanu hum azlama wa atgha

207 م ي ة و ال م ؤث ا ى and al-mu'tafikah, He also overthrew. walmu'tafikata ahwa

208 ا م ن د م ص و م ل ط ؾ ل O He Who destroyed the people of Lot ya man dammra `ala qawmi lutin

209 و ب م ش ؿ ؾ ل و د م س م and crushed the people of Shu`ayb! wa damdama `ala qawmi shu`aybin

210 ا م ن ش ز إ ب ص ا م ر ل ال اث O He Who took Abraham for a friend! ya man ittakhadha ibrahima khalilan

211 ا م ن ز ل ما م ع ش اث O You Who took Moses for an object of His words, ya man ittakhadha musa kaliman

212 د ؾ اء الم ش ي اث ز ش و م د م سا ص ل الل ي ؾ ل و ا ل ي و ؾ ل م اج م ؿ ن خ ب با and took Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household, for a beloved! wattkhadha muhammadan salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi wa `alayhim ajma`ina habiban

213 م ان ا م ؤ ث له د ي م ة ال O He Who gave Luqman wisdom, ya mu'tiya luqmana alhikmata

214 ا ب و ال م ان م ل ظ ل ل يا and bestowed upon Solomon a kingdom walwahiba lisulaymana mulkan

215 ال و ب ق الخ س م ن ب ؿ س ى such as may not befit anyone after him! la yanbaghi li'ahadin min ba`dihi

216 ن ال ه ص ه Duá Mashlool م ن ه ص ص ذا ؾ ل ل ل ا ال م ل ك ال ج ب اب ص ة O He Who gave Dhul-Qarnayn victory over the tyrannical kings! ya man nasara dhalqarnayni `ala almuluki aljababirati

217 د ؾ اء الم ش ص اؾ ع ا م ن ال ز ض ال د اة O He Who gave al-khadir (eternal) life ya man a`ta alkhidra alhayata

218 Duá س Mashlool ش ؽ ب ن ه ن الش م ط ب ؿ ل ل و ر ل د ف ص وب ا and returned the sun to Joshua, the son of Nun, after its setting! wa radda liyusha`a bni nunin alshshamsa ba`da ghurubiha

219 د ؾ اء الم ش ا م ن ر ب ط و ل ب ام ؾ ل م ع O He Who strengthened the heart of Moses' mother, ya man rabata `ala qalbi ummi musa

220 و اخ ص ن ل ص ج م ص م ؾ م ص ا ن ة اب و and guarded the virginity of Mary, the daughter of `Imran! wa ahsana farja maryama ibnati `imrana

221 ا م ن خ ص ن د ب الش ه ص ا م ن ب ن ز O He Who fortified John, the son of Zachariah, against sins ya man hassana yahya ibna zakariyya mina aldhdhanbi

222 و ع ي ن ؾ ن م ع ال ق ض ب and calmed the anger of Moses! wa sakkana `an musa alghadaba

223 ا م ن ب ش ص ز ص ا ب د O He Who gave Zachariah the good news of the birth of John! ya man bashshara zakariyya biyahya

224 د ؾ اء الم ش ل س ى Duá Mashlool ح ن الش ب ن إ ع م اؾ م ا م ل ل ب ش ب ح ؾ ؼ م O He Who ransomed Ishmael from the sacrifice with a mighty sacrifice! ya man fada isma`ila mina aldhdhabhi bidhibhin `azimin

225 د ؾ اء الم ش ص ب ان اب ا م ن و ب و O He Who accepted the sacrifice of Abel ya man qabila qurbana habila

226 ؿ و و ج ؿ الل و اب ؾ ل ة and placed a curse upon Cain! wa ja`ala alla`nata `ala qabila

227 ا از م االخ ض اب الل ي ؾ ل ل م د م ي و ا ل ي ص ل س O He Who routed the parties for Muhammad, may Allah bless him and his Household! ya hazima al-ahzabi limuhammadin salla allahu `alayhi wa alihi

228 م د م ؾ ل س س و ا ل م د م ص (please do) Bless Muhammad, the household of Muhammad, salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin

229 و ؾ ل ج م ؽ و م الئ ي ج ى ال م ص ع ل ن ال م ه ص ب ن all the messengers, Your archangels, wa `ala jami`i almursalina wa mala'ikatika almuqarrabina

230 و ا ظ اؾ ج ى اج م ؿ ن and all those who obey You! wa ahli ta`atika ajma`ina

231 د ؾ اء الم ش ال ى ب ي م ظ ال ة ع ال ى ب ا و اع اخ س I beseech You the supplication of every one who has besought you wa as'aluka bikulli mas'alatin sa'alaka biha ahadun

232 م م ن ر ض ت ؾ و ي ل د ج م ت ل ي ة اإل ج اب ؾ ل and with whom You have been pleased and thus decided to grant his request. mimman radita `anhu fahatamta lahu `ala alijabati

233 ا الل ي ا الل ي ا الل ي O Allah! O Allah! O Allah! ya allahu ya allahu ya allahu

234 م ن ر خ ا م ن ر خ ا ا ر خ م ن O All-merciful! O All-merciful! O Allmerciful! ya rahmanu ya rahmanu ya rahmanu

235 ا ر خ م ا ر خ م ا ر خ م O All-compassionate! O Allcompassionate! O Allcompassionate! ya rahimu ya rahimu ya rahimu

236 ا ذ ا ال ج ال ل و اإل ص ا م O Lord of majesty and honor! ya dhaljalali wal-ikrami

237 ا ذ ا ال ج ال ل و اإل ص ا م O Lord of majesty and honor! ya dhaljalali wal-ikrami

238 ا ذ ا ال ج ال ل و اإل ص ا م O Lord of majesty and honor! ya dhaljalali wal-ikrami

239 ب ي ب ي ب ي ب ي ب ي ب ي ب ي By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! By Him! bihi bihi bihi bihi bihi bihi bihi

240 م ع م ت ب ي اع ال ى ب ي اع ه م ظ ى د ؾ اء الم ش I beseech You by every Name with which You have named Yourself as'aluka bikulli ismin sammayta bihi nafsaka

241 ج ي او اه ض ل ل ش ء م ن ج ب ى or which You have sent down in one of Your scriptures aw anzaltahu fi shay'in min kutubika

242 د ؾ اء الم ش Duá Mashlool ب ج اخ ص ت ب ي ل ؾ ل م ال ق ل ل او اع ال ش ي ؾ و س ك or kept for Yourself in the knowledge of the Unseen with You, aw ista'tharta bihi fi `ilmi alghaybi `indaka

243 و ب م ؿ ا وس ى م ن ؾ ص ش ال ؿ ض by the junctures of might for Your Throne, wa bima`aqidi al`izzi min `arshika

244 ى م ن ج اب ة م الص خ و ب م و ج by the utmost limit of mercy from Your Book, wa bimuntaha alrrahmati min kitabika

245 Duá Mashlool ض ن و ل ان م ا ل االر ل ل م و ب م ا ش ج ص ة او ال م by the fact that, though all the trees in the earth were pens wa bima wa law anna ma fi al-ardi min shajaratin aqlamun

246 ى و ال ب د ص م س م ن ب ؿ س ى ع ب ؿ ة اب د ص and the sea - seven seas after it to replenish it, walbahru yamudduhu min ba`dihi sab`atu abhurin

247 د ؾ اء الم ش م ا ه م س ت ل م ات ي الل yet the words of Allah not be spent. ma nafidat kalimatu allahi

248 الل ي إ ن ؾ ض ض خ ي م Allah is All-mighty, All-wise. inna allaha `azizun hakimun

249 ال ى و اع ى ال د ظ و ب اع م ائ And I beseech You by Your Most Excellent Names wa as'aluka bi-asma'ika alhusna

250 د ؾ اء الم ش ال ج ه ؿ ج ا ل ج اب ى ل هل ت : that You have described in Your book thus saying, allati na`attaha fi kitabika faqulta

251 Duá ى Mashlool االع م ا ء ال د ظ و ل اد ؾ ل ل و ل ل ي ب ا To Allah belong the Most Excellent Names, so call Him by them! wa lillahi al-asma'u alhusna fad`uhu biha

252 ت : اد ؾ ه اع ج ج ب Duá Mashlool و ول ل ل ل ي م د ؾ اء الم ش And You said: Call upon Me and I will answer you. wa qulta ud`uni astajib lakum

253 ت Duá Mashlool و إ ذ ا ع ال ى ؾ ب اد ي ؾ و ل ل و ول : ل إ ه و ص ب And You said: And when My servants ask you concerning Me, then surely I am very near; wa qulta wa idha sa'alaka `ibadi `anni fa'inni qaribun

254 الس اؾ اج ب د ؾ ة إ ذ ا د ؾ اه I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls on Me. ujibu da`wata aldda`i idha da`ani

255 ول ت : و ا ؾ ب اد ي و ل اع ص ا ؾ ل اه م ظ ال ش ن م And You said: Say: O My servants who have been prodigal against yourselves; wa qulta qul ya `ibadiya alladhina asrafu `ala anfusihim د ؾ اء الم ش

256 ال ث ه و ع ا م ن ر خ م ة ي الل do not despair of Allah's mercy. la taqnatu min rahmati allahi

257 ق م ص الل ي إ ن الش ه ب ج م ؿا Surely, Allah forgives all sins. inna allaha yaghfiru aldhdhunuba jami`an

258 إ ه ي ال ق م ر الص خ م Surely, He is the All-forgiving, the Allcompassionate. innahu huwa alghafuru alrrahimu

259 و اه ا اع ال ى ا إ ل And I ask You, O my God, wa ana as'aluka ya ilahi

260 و اد ؾ ك ا ر ب I call You, O my Lord, wa ad`uka ya rabbi

261 و ار ج ك ا ع س ي I please You, O my Master, wa arjuka ya sayyidi

262 و اظ م ؽ د ؾ اء الم ش ل إ ج اب ج ا م الي م ا و ؾ سث و and I desire for You to respond to me, O my Protector, just as You have promised me wa atma`u fi ijabati ya mawlaya kama wa`adtani

263 و ث ى م ا ام ص ث د ؾ و و س for I have called You just as You have commanded me. wa qad da`awtuka kama amartani

264 ل ال ؿ ب م ا اهت ا ل ي ا ص م So, do to me what is worthy of You, O All-generous! faf`al bi ma anta ahluhu ya karimu

265 س د ؾ اء الم ش و ال د م ل ل ي ر ب ن م ال ؿ ال All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds. walhamdu lillahi rabbi al`alamina

266 الل ي ل ي Duá Mashlool س و ا ؾ ل م د م ل ل ؿ ن اج م و ص ل May Allah bless Muhammad and his entire Household. wa salla allahu `ala muhammadin wa alihi ajma`ina

267 د ؾ اء الم ش ؾ ل م د م س و ا م د م س م ص الل ل O' Allah send Your blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad. allahumma salli `ala muhammadin wa ali muhammadin
