Men 2 Dives with an assigned D of D 2.0, plus 4 dives without limit. 5 groups must be used. All forward facing dives from the springboard shall be done with a running approach. NOTES AUSTRALIAN OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS: (a) These qualifying standards must be achieved in a NATIONAL EVENT or STATE OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS, or other Diving Australia sanctioned qualifying event in the 12 months preceding the relevant competition. (i) For the avoidance of doubt, the DA Selection Committee may consider results from US Collegiate Meets, but only at the NCAA Division 1, Conference and Zone levels; and in competitions featuring at least 4 Colleges. (b) Athletes who have qualified to compete at the Australian Open Championships must compete at the Australian Open Championships with the minimum DD listed above. (c) Whilst it is not a requirement to attain qualification for the event, to be considered for the DA National Squad or the Australian Diving Team, for the platform event, all dives must be off the 10-metre platform. (d) No feet first entries are allowed in the 1 Metre or 3 Metre events for men or women. For the Platform events for men or women, feet first entries are permitted. (e) Unless the approval of the DA Selection Committee and the General Manager, HP&P is obtained prior to the commencement of the 2019 Australian Open Championships, athletes must compete in an individual event to be eligible to compete in the synchronised events. (f) The DA Selection Committee may in its discretion consider a request by an athlete to compete at the Australian Open Championships where an athlete has not achieved the qualifying standards. To be considered, an athlete must apply in writing to the GM, HP&P for consideration by the DA Selection Committee no later than two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the Australian Open Championships. 3 ELITE JUNIOR C Boys 1M 8 dives comprising Girls 1M 4 dives with limit from different groups + 1 twisting dive + 3 dives without limit from different groups as outlined below 4 dives with limit selected from different groups: o 101B/C 103B/C 201B/C 301B/C 401B/C Of the 4 dives two dives shall be tuck and two dives shall be pike dives o For the Forward and Inward dives, one dive must be pike and the other dive must be tuck o For the Back and Reverse dives, one dive must be pike and the other dive must be tuck 1 dive from the Twisting dives list: o 5132D 5231D 5331D 3 dives without limit from different groups: o Of the 3 dives at least one dive must be from the Back and Reverse group o Of the 3 dives without limit only one feet first entry dive is permitted on 1 metre. The dive must be a multiple somersault (minimum of 2 somersaults) or a twisting dive with a minimum of one twist. (b) All events will be run as per FINA rules and compeititon formats. (c) The DA Selection Committee may in its discretion consider a request by an athlete to compete at the Australian Elite Junior Championships where an athlete has not participated in an event to achieve the qualifying standards or not achieved the qualifying standards. To be considered, an athlete must apply in writing to the GMHP&P for consideration by the DA Selection Committee no later than two (2) weeks prior to the commencement of the Australian Elite Junior Championships. (d) There will be a Synchronised Group C/D 3m competition and a Synchronised Group A/B 3m and 10m competition. The synchronised events will be one event for boys and one event for girls and should be qualified for in a NATIONAL EVENT, STATE ELITE JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS or STATE ADVERTISED QUALIFYING EVENT in the 12 months preceding the relevant competition. (e) Athletes must compete in an individual event to be eligible to compete in the synchronised event. DA will consider special consideration requests to dive synchronised only, provided at least one member of the pair has qualified for an individual event. (f) All individual events will have prelininaries and finals. The top 8 divers from the preliminary will paerticipate in a final competition performing only dives without limit. The scores of the dives with limit from the preliminary competition will be carried forward and added to the scores in the final competition to determine the top 8 rankings. Divers lower than 8 th place will be ranked by their preliminary scores. 3

5 NATIONAL SKILLS FINALS (National Talent Programme During ADGP) 1. Age Groups: 11 yrs & Under (Age as of 31 st Dec) 12/13yrs old (Age as of 31 st Dec) 2. Format: Each State to organise a series of Skills event/s to select a team of 10 divers to the finals (Top 5 divers per Age Group minimum of one boy competitor per age group) State competitions/trials to be inclusive of all STS and Club Based divers States to organise Team representation to the National Finals in December each year Each State team to provide at least one coach and one judge to the National Finals National Skills Final to take place alongside the ADGP in December 2019 National Skills Final to incorporate coach development opportunities with NCP National Skills Final to incorporate free tickets to ADGP for divers and parents National Skills Final used to select the National Talent squad 2019/20 3. Competition Test Competition to include both dryland and pool components Competition to run as a circuit style event in both the dryland and the pool Diver Awards for dryland, pool as well as combined results Competition to be judged by State, SIS/SAS and NCP coaches DRYLAND Standing Posture arms T Stand straight, knees locked, glutes squeezed, hips under, chest in, head still Standing posture arms above head As above with arms extended straight above head behind the ears, thumbs touching Raised Tuck Kick Out Sequence x5; Starting in a tuck position the diver shows each part of the come out sequence clearly until the entry position is achieved. The sequence is repeated five times. ½ Lever on the floor x10s; Hands placed on the floor in front of the hips, the diver lifts straight legs off the floor to a horizontal position for a ten second hold Headstand Sequence (Tuck Up/Hold 5s/Tuck Down/Pike Up/Hold 5s/Down Pike) The divers slowly and with control moves into a headstand position through a tuck and piked position. Each time a headstand is achieved a five second hold is shown. Handstand Hold 15s The diver demonstrates a handstand balance to a maximum of 15seconds. Extra reward will be given to those divers able to show a press both into and out of the balance. V-Sit Pike Ups x5 repetitions into pike sit hold x5s Starting lying flat on the floor with arms extended overhead. The diver wil show five controlled v-sit Pike Ups, maintaining good form. Legs to stay straight, with the arms maintaining a good position overhead to touch the toes at the top of each sit. Between each repetition the diver should return to the original lying position. After 5 repititions are achieved a seated pike balance should be maintained for a 5s hold with arms in the T position. Press Ups Sequence sit on floor legs straight hands facing forwards behind hips lift to back support and hold for 5 secs turn one hand and move over from back support to front support elbows locked, shoulders high, chest in elbow out - place chin on floor keeping body straight and hold for 5 secs push back to front support keeping body straight lift one leg straight off floor and hold for 5 secs repeat with other leg elbows in - place chin on floor keeping body straight and hold for 5 secs move back to front support - finish Forward Roll into Single Leg Squats (Front Leg Raised) x2 each Leg On a floor mat the diver shows a controlled forward roll to stand up on one leg with the other held out in front of the body horizontally during the lift to a steady balance. This skill is repeated on each leg 4

6 Pike Shape 10s Hold Starting in the seated position with the legs extended, ankles stretched and toes pointed. The arms start overhead and drop into the T position as the trunk drop towards the legs. The diver holds this position for 10s before returning to the start position. Splits and Straddle Sequence start with left leg forward splits arms in a T place hands to the right and turn to straddle sit reach hands out in front in straddle shape turn to right leg splits arms in a T 102c Forward Somersault with Tuck (Ground S/S) Perform a forward somersault with tuck from a block to a landing mat. Show a good powerful start, with a tight tuck shape and a controlled landing. POOL 1m; Back Jump tucked with 2 part back press armswing (Arms Up on Entry) Maximum two ankle rocks into single arm lift and swing. Show a good extention with arms above head before moving into the tuck position. Open out following the tuck position to an extended position to enter the water showing good posture. 1m; x2 Bounce Forward Jump Straight (Arms Up on Entry) Rock bounce where arms move from down to up, followed by full armswing bounce, followed by armswing take off. Show control, form and extension throughout. 1m; 101c x2 bounce start Same 2 bounce take off technique ensuring arms are above head at maximum depression of the springboard on the final bounce before take off. Set take off angle for maximum height and safe distance, showing tight tuck position and a lateral close of the arms into a vertical entry position. 1m; 401c 2 part press armswing Same two part press armsing and take of ensuring arms are above head at maximum depression of the springboard. Set take off angle for maximum height and safe distance, showing tight tuck position and a lateral close of the arms into a vertical entry position. 1m; 201c 2 part press armswing Same two part press armswing. Show a good extention with arms above head before moving into the tuck position. Kick out looking past the feet with the arms held close to the body before looking back and bringing the down to extend into the entry position. 1m; 301c x2 bounce start 0.7 DD) Same 2 bounce take off technique. Show a good extention with arms above head before moving into the tuck position. Extend back out to the straight position to enter the water with the arms above the head.) 3m; 010a Standing Forward Entry in the Straight Position Standing with good posture arms held in the T position. The diver falls forward towards the water and closes the arms laterally to extend into an entry postion 3m; 010c Sitting Forward Tuck Roll Entry Sitting on the edge of the board in a tight tuck position, the diver rolls forward and kicks out into an open pike position before straightening the body and moving the arms laterally into an entry position 3m; 020a Standing Back Entry in the Straight Position Standing with good posture and the arms held firmly on the upper leg. The diver falls back and looks back for the entry point on the water. The arms are brought through last in a narrow movment towards an extended position for entry. 3m; 020c Crouched Back Tuck Roll Entry Crouching on the end of the board in a tight tuck position roll slowly backwards to kick out into an extended position looking over the feet. Then look back and bring through the arms in a narrow movement towards an extended position for entry. (b) These qualifying standards must be achieved in a NATIONAL EVENT, STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS or STATE ADVERTISED QUALIFYING EVENT. (c) The synchronised events will be conducted for divers 13 years and under, 14/18 years and 19 years and over on the 3-metre springboard only. All divers must dive in their appropriate age group. No diver may compete in an older age group. (d) Athletes must compete in an individual event to be eligible to compete in the synchronised event. DA will consider special consideration requests to dive synchronised only, provided at least one member of the pair has qualified for an individual event. (e) Synchronised Diving Conditions for all age groups each + 2 dives from 3 different groups. ADDITIONAL RULES REGARDING THE AUSTRALIAN ELITE JUNIOR/AGE PATHWAY (a) A competition calendar year is defined as the 12-month period prior to the event being considered, but not including the earlier corresponding event, e.g. if results are being considered for the 2017 National Championships (April/May), events in the previous 12 months would be included except results from the 2016 National Championships, if it fell within the 12-month period. (b) The FINA Degree of Difficulties will apply to all Open, Junior and Age Championships. (c) A diver may only compete in one national junior event per year, i.e. either the Australian Age Championships or Australian Elite Junior Championships. (d) A diver may compete at the 2019 Australian Elite Junior Championships on all three boards if they have achieved National Qualifying Points for Elite Junior Championships on a minimum of two boards. The athlete must compete in all three events at the State Qualifying event to be eligible to compete on three boards. (e) If a diver competes and qualifies in two or more events at a State Qualifying event for the 2019 Australian Elite Junior Championships, they are not eligible to compete in the 2019 Australian Age Championships. (f) An athlete who participated in the 2018 Australian Elite Junior Championships and wishes to dive in the 2019 Age Championships may do so but will be ineligible to compete in an Elite Junior Championships for a further two years. 6

Please ensure you complete the additional information required for the Nominated Official membership Learn to Dive 12weeks - $60 Not entitled to compete at any Diving NSW events Coach - $260 An accredited coach who is entitled to compete at all competitions including State Championships etc. Please ensure you complete the additional information required for the Working with Children Check Officials/Volunteers - $30 Active Officials or Volunteers of Diving NSW All members must agree to terms and conditions of registration and sign relevant Code of Conduct and Consent Forms. Qualification will stand for 12 months from the date of the Qualification Meet, but does not include preceding year s National Championships. Qualifying standards must be achieved in a NATIONAL EVENT, STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS or STATE ADVERTISED QUALIFYING EVENT. All Diving NSW events in this program are the State advertised qualifying events. All dives with limit must be from different groups. All dives unlimited must be from different groups except Open Men s 1Metre, 3Metre where one group is repeated. Where program reads 3 = 3 groups, if 5 = 5 groups etc In all Events all dives must be assigned the appropriate FINA degree of difficulty Each of the competitions is a separate event and although these events may be run together in the interests of time management, the events shall be judged and scored as separate events. All advertised events and/or times are only guides and are subject to change. The athlete is responsible for the accuracy of the dive sheet and dive sheets must be signed. 7

9 ENTRY FEES $40 per event for all State events, Junior, Age and Open; $30 per event for Country, Metropolitan and Geoff Montgomery Championships. Alterations may be accepted as per FINA rules LATE DIVE SHEETS may be accepted up until the start time of the first day of competition. If a late dive sheet is received, the athlete will be required to compete as a guest and their scores will not be counted as a National qualifying score. Dive sheets received after the start of the first day of competition may be rejected. Late fees may also be imposed. In the event of a tie a (1) point will be awarded for each event participated in. In the event of a further tie, points will be allocated as follows: 1 st 10 points, 2 nd 7.5 points, 3 rd 5 points, 4 th 2.5 points and 5 onwards 1 point. Post Age Nationals Age divers may compete up in Elite Junior or up an Age Group with points averaged and allocated for Age category for annual awards determination. 9

11 GENERAL Entry Fees Interclub Meets - $25 per event - $15 per Pathway event At State Open Championships divers must enter list of requirements for the particular event only. Eg Elite Junior diver may not attempt to qualify for Elite Junior Nationals etc. It is not permissible to attempt to qualify for Open Nationals in an Age or Elite Junior event. Open State Championships will require a minimum DD of 13.2 Men and 10.8 Women. Divers with insufficient dives required for their age group may dive down an age group by invitation to gain competition experience. These divers will not be eligible gain a place in event or be allocated participation points. Athletes at Interclub meets will be required to compete in their respective Age/Group (eg 12/13 Age, Elite Junior C etc) or below. For simultaneous events each diver, board and dive number will be announced The first diver to commence will be announced and then once the diver enters the water the announcement for the other board will be announced. No scores will be announced. The referee of each simultaneous event will be the judge closest to the appropriate board. Synchronised events are open to all divers in Age, Elite Junior & NEPP categories. Teams may be made up of male or female divers or a combination Elite Junior Boys Synchro 4 groups must be used. Elite Junior Girls Synchro 3 groups must be used. There will be no march ons Divers must wear a minimum of a T-shirt for Medal Presentations.
