OPUM-E E-55 Watches that do not have WATER RESIST or WATER RESISTANT marked on the back cover are not protected against the effects of sweat. Avoid using such a watch under conditions where it wi be exposed to arge amounts of sweat or moisture, or to direct spashing with water. Even if a watch is water resistant, note the usage precautions described beow. Such types of use reduce water resistance performance and can cause fogging of the gass. Do not operate the crown or buttons whie your watch is submersed in water or wet. Avoid wearing your watch whie in the bath. Do not wear your watch whie in a heated swimming poo, sauna, or any other high temperature/high humidity environment. Do not wear your watch whie washing your hands or face, whie doing housework, or whie performing any other task that invoves soaps or detergents. After submersion in seawater, use pain water to rinse a sat and dirt from your watch. To maintain water resistance, have the gaskets of your watch repaced periodicay (about once every two or three years). E-56 A trained technician wi inspect your watch for proper water resistance whenever you have its battery repaced. Battery repacement requires the use of specia toos. Aways request battery repacement from your origina retaier or from an authorized ASIO service center. Some water-resistant watches come with fashionabe eather bands. Avoid swimming, washing, or any other activity that causes direct exposure of a eather band to water. The inside surface of the watch gass may fog when the watch is exposed to a sudden drop in temperature. No probem is indicated if the fogging cears up reativey quicky. Sudden and extreme temperature changes (such as coming into an air conditioned room in the summer and standing cose to an air conditioner outet, or eaving a heated room in the winter and aowing your watch to come into contact with snow) can cause it to take onger for gass fogging to cear up. If gass fogging does not cear up or if you notice moisture inside of the gass, immediatey stop using your watch and take it to your origina retaier or to an authorized ASIO service center. Your water-resistant watch has been tested in accordance with Internationa Organization for Standardization reguations. E-57 Band Tightening the band too tighty can cause you to sweat and make it difficut for air to pass under the band, which can ead to skin irritation. Do not fasten the band too tighty. There shoud be enough room between the band and your wrist so you can insert your finger. Deterioration, rust, and other conditions can cause the band to break or come off of your watch, which in turn can cause band pins to fy out of position or to fa out. This creates the risk of your watch faing from your wrist and becoming ost, and aso creates the risk of persona injury. Aways take good care of your band and keep it cean. Immediatey stop using a band if you even notice any of the foowing: oss of band fexibiity, band cracks, band discooration, band ooseness, band connecting pin fying or faing out, or any other abnormaity. 7 Magnetism The hands of anaog and combination (anaog-digita) watches are moved by a motor that uses magnetic force. When such a watch is cose to a device (audio speakers, magnetic neckace, ce phone, etc.) that emits strong magnetism, the magnetism can cause timekeeping to sow down, speed up, or stop, resuting in the incorrect time being dispayed. Very strong magnetism (from medica equipment, etc.) shoud be avoided because it can cause mafunction of your watch and damage to eectronic components. Eectrostatic harge Exposure to very strong eectrostatic charge can cause your watch to dispay the wrong time. Very strong eectrostatic charge even can damage eectronic components. Eectrostatic charge can cause the dispay to go bank momentariy or cause a rainbow effect on the dispay. hemicas Do not aow your watch to come into contact with thinner, gasoine, sovents, ois, or fats, or with any ceaners, adhesives, paints, medicines, or cosmetics that contain such ingredients. If there are printed figures on the band, strong rubbing of the printed area can cause discooration. Leaving your watch wet for ong periods can cause fuorescent coor to fade. Wipe the watch dry as soon as possibe after it becomes wet. Semi-transparent resin parts can become discoored due to sweat and dirt, and if exposed to high temperatures and humidity for ong periods. Daiy use and ong-term storage of your watch can ead to deterioration, breaking, or bending of resin components. The extent of such damage depends on usage conditions and storage conditions. E-62 Leather Band Aowing your watch to remain in contact with other items or storing it together with other items for ong periods whie it is wet can cause the coor of the eather band to transfer to the other items or the coor of the other items to transfer to the eather band. Be sure to dry off your watch thoroughy with a soft coth before storing it and make sure it is not in contact with other items. Leaving a eather band where it is exposed to direct sunight (utravioet rays) for ong periods or faiure to cean dirt from a eather band for ong periods can cause it to become discoored. AUTION: Exposing a eather band to rubbing or dirt can cause coor transfer and discooration. If meta components exposed to sweat or water, wipe thoroughy with a soft, absorbent coth and then pace the watch in a we-ventiated ocation to dry. E-63 Use a soft toothbrush or simiar too to scrub the meta with a weak soution of water and a mid neutra detergent, or with soapy water. Next, rinse with water to remove a remaining detergent and then wipe dry with a soft absorbent coth. When washing meta components, wrap the watch case with kitchen pastic wrap so it does not come into contact with the detergent or soap. that ASIO OMPUTER O., LTD. assumes no responsibiity for any damage or oss suffered by you or any third party arising through the use of your watch or its mafunction. In order to ensure maximum bacteria and odor resistance, keep the band cean. Use an absorbent soft coth to thoroughy wipe the band cean of dirt, sweat, and moisture. A bacteria and odor resistant band suppresses the formation of organisms and bacteria. It does not protect against rash due to aergic reaction, etc. Liquid rysta Dispay Dispay figures may be difficut to read when viewed from an ange. E-64 E-65 User Maintenance aring for Your Watch Remember that you wear your watch next to your skin, just ike a piece of cothing. Next, rinse with water to remove a remaining detergent and then wipe dry with a soft absorbent coth. When washing the band, wrap the watch case with kitchen pastic wrap so it does not come into contact with the detergent or soap. For a resin band, wash with water and then wipe dry with a soft coth. that sometimes a smudge ike pattern may appear on the surface of a resin band. Dangers of Poor Watch are Rust Though the meta stee used for your watch is highy rust-resistant, rust can form if your watch is not ceaned after it becomes dirty. Dirt on your watch can make it impossibe for oxygen to come into contact with the meta, which can ead to breakdown of the oxidization ayer on the meta surface and the formation of rust. Rust can cause sharp areas on meta components and can cause band pins to fy out of position or to fa out. If you ever notice any abnormaity immediatey stop using your watch and take it to your origina retaier or to an authorized ASIO service center. E-67 Even if the surface of the meta appears cean, sweat and rust in crevasses can soi the seeves of cothing, cause skin irritation, and even interfere with watch performance. Premature Wear Leaving sweat or water on a resin band or beze, or storing your watch an area subject to high moisture can ead to premature wear, cuts, and breaks. Skin Irritation Individuas with sensitive skin or in poor physica condition may experience skin irritation when wearing a watch. Such individuas shoud keep their eather band or resin band particuary cean. Shoud you ever experience a rash or other skin irritation, immediatey remove your watch and contact a skin care professiona. Battery The specia rechargeabe battery used by your watch is not intended to be removed or repaced by you. Use of a rechargeabe battery other than the specia one specified for your watch can damage your watch. The rechargeabe (secondary) battery is charged when the soar pane is exposed to ight, so it does not require reguar repacement as the primary battery requires., however, that ong use or operating conditions can cause the capacity or charging efficiency of the rechargeabe battery to deteriorate. If you fee that the amount of operation provided by charging is too short, contact your origina retaier or ASIO service center. E-68 E-69
