6 LIQUID FEEDING THE FEEDING CENTRAL The feeding central is the heart of every liquid feeding system In the feeding central the feed components are stored and mixed. The distance to the stable and the kind of feeding determine the situation of the feeding central: short ways = small efficiency quantities. The tank sizes are from 0 to l. Even ready mounted compact feeding centrals and sub-feeding centrals from 0 to.00 l are possible. They are premounted in the Meyer-Lohne works and are only connected on site. In connection with frequency converters the supply quantities can be regulated infinitely variable. This allows a dosage of smallest quantities, f. ex. for farrowing sows or baby piglets. 7 CENTRAL HYGIENE PAYS OFF An acid-lye-water-system cleaning is recommend able for a fully automatic liquid feeding system. The Meyer-Lohne hygiene-package for the tank cleaning automatically cleans all parts of the liquid feeding tank, which get in contact with feed. Phase : acid fog An acid fog device distributes with an atomizer by means of air pressure a daily small amount of highly concentrated acid to remove undesirable remains. Important: a connected locking system for the tank lid ensures that the acid application is based on the European working safety standards Phase : clear water cleaning After a short effect time the water cleaning is activated. Via the new PRO-MEDOS distribution system the single one-way lines are connected. The simple hand switch system or an automatic control selects the one-way lines, which should be supplied with the mixed menu. Additive carryover into other one-way lines is therefore avoided. Every section, every stable resp. every pen group can be supplied with different additives in that way. Additive Feeder PRO-MEDOS Select into the trough (for systems with circuit) An additive feeder container with agitator and pump in the feeding central is sufficient. The separate additive ring pipe is equipped at each valve with a medicine diaphragm valve and a hand operated ball valve. Additive feeding follows via a drain hose directly into the trough, if the hand operated ball valve is released at the respective trough. Each bay or trough day can thus be supplied with separate additives. 7

Therefore there is the possibility to feed pigs with a certain age and different gender automatically according to feed curves and to their feed demands. A transferring is not necessary. 9 FOR BABY PIGLETS BABY PIGLET SENSOR LIQUID FEEDING The feeding of baby piglets with liquid feed is not new, but also not normal in practice. It allows a high dry mass intake and therefore a clear improvement of the growth rate. A liquid feeding helps to minimize the main stress factor of feed re-adaptation, because the baby piglets begin immediately with the feed intake. 11 FATTENING PIGS SUPPLEMENT- AND REDUCTION FEEDING WITH FEEDING TIME CONTROL Feed adjustment by computer WINfeed offers a feeding control which allows the pig producer to connect the advantages of the restrictive feeding with the sensor feeding. During a whole feeding period the computer WINfeed supervises with the WIN valve sensor BUS all trough sensors for all valves. With exceed or remain under of the eat time the computer distributes with the next feeding period supplement- or reduction quantities to the given target quantities. 12 ACCESSORIES FOR FEEDING SYSTEMS Silos the basis for hygienic feed storage Meyer-Lohne offers for a hygienic feed storage inside- and outside silos with variously accessories: Trevira-inside silos, GFK-outside silos and hot-galvanized steel metal outside silos. Several variations can be selected from a wide production range. The daily feed consumption and the required storage duration determine the necessary size. The filling of all silo systems can follow pneumatically by augers and spirals. Mill and mix systems The preparation of valuable farm-owned grain, added with necessary by product components directly on the farm is necessary for different reasons. Many farmers use the farm-owned and known feed components as basis for the mix feed. With the decision of an own feed preparation the farmer must orientate himself to the concept of the entire farm.
