Alays turn off th por sitch and unplug from th por supply: - hn laving th machin unattndd. - hn attaching or rmoving parts. - hn claning th machin. Do not plac anything on th foot control, othris th machin ill run intrmittntly. Controlling th Sing Spd Foot control Sing spd can b varid by th foot control. Th hardr you dprss th foot control, th fastr th machin runs. Oprating Instructions: Th symbol "O" of a sitch indicats th "off" position of a sitch. For an applianc ith a polarizd plug (on blad idr than th othr): To rduc th risk of lctrical shock, this plug is intndd to fit in a polarizd outlt only on ay. If it dos not fit fully in th outlt, rvrs th plug. If it still dos not fit, contact a ualifid lctrician to install th propr outlt. Do not modify th plug in any ay. Th foot prssur dial should b st at 3 for rgular sing. Rduc th prssur to 2 for appliué, cutork, dra ork and basting. St th stting mark at 1 hn sing chiffon, lac, organdy and othr fin fabrics. Stting mark Dropping th Fd Dog Th drop fd lvr is locatd undrnath th fr-arm bd on th backsid of th machin. To drop th fd dog, push th lvr in th dirction of th arro, as illustratd. To rais th fd dog, push th lvr in th dirction of th arro, as illustratd, and turn th handhl toard you. Th fd dog must b up for rgular sing. Drop fd lvr Raisd position Lord position 6

You can rais th foot about 1/4" (0.6 cm) highr than th normal up position for asy rmoval of th prssr foot, or to hlp you plac havy fabric undr th foot. To rmov: Rmov th stscr by turning it countrclockis ith a scrdrivr and rmov th foot holdr. To attach: Match th hol in th foot holdr ith th thradd hol in th prssr bar. Fit th stscr into th hol. Stop th machin hn th bobbin has bn ound a f layrs, and cut th thrad clos to th bobbin. n n Dprss th foot control again. Whn th bobbin is fully ound, it ill stop automatically. Tnsion dial Balancd tnsion: Th idal straight stitch has thrads lockd btn to layrs of fabric, as illustratd. For an idal zigzag stitch, th bobbin thrad dos not sho on th right sid (top sid) of th fabric, and th ndl thrad shos slightly on th rong sid (bottom sid) of th fabric. Ndl thrad (Top thrad) Bobbin thrad (Bottom thrad) r Right sid (Top sid) of fabric t Wrong sid (Bottom sid) of fabric Ndl thrad tnsion is too tight: Th bobbin thrad (bottom thrad) ill appar on th right sid (top sid) of th fabric.
