2 SAFETY WARNING The voltages employed in this Equipment are sufficiently high to endanger human life. POWER MUST BE SWITCHED OFF before making connections And DUE CARE to be taken when making internal adjustments etc. Page 2
3 FIRST AID IN CASE OF ELECTRIC SHOCK 1. Switch OFF. If this is not possible, PROTECT YOURSELF with dry insulating material and pull the victim clear of the conductor. DO NOT TOUCH THE VICTIM WITH YOUR until he is clear of the conductor, but DO NOT WASTE TIME. 2. (a) Place the victim in the supine position. (b) Keep the air passages clear by turning the head to one side, opening the patient's mouth and clearing it of water, saline, mucus or blood, a lot of which might have accumulated in the back of the throat. (Figure 1) 3. If the jaw is rigid try to force the mouth open by pressure on the gum behind the last molar tooth of the lower jaw. When the upper air passages are thus cleared, tilt the head backward and force the jaw forwards from the angles of the jaw in front of the ears. This would prevent mechanical obstructions to the upper air passages. (Figure 2-3) 4. (a) Then hold the chin up and forward with one hand and pinch the nostrils of the victim with the other. (Figure 4) (b) Take a very deep breath and apply your mouth to that of the victim and blow into his mouth, until the chest of the victim moves up indicating filling of the lungs. (NEVER ALLOW THE CHIN TO SAG). (Figure 4) 5. When the chest has moved up, withdraw your mouth and allow the chest to sling back. REPEAT this process every three to four seconds until the victim begins to breathe again or until he is taken over by a medical attendant. This method can be continued in an ambulance during transit of the patient from the site of accident to the nearest medical centre. HAVE SOMEONE ELSE AND SEND FOR A DOCTOR. KEEP PATIENT WARM AND LOOSEN HIS CLOTHING. DO NOT GIVE LIQUIDS UNTIL THE PATIENT CONSCIOUS. Page 3

7 1.3. Description: Magnetron is aimed to provide Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy to cure various physical Ailments. Unit to be operated manually with the switches provided on the front panel. It generates electromagnetic pulses of a specific frequency and power factor. The generation of these pulses depends upon the treatment selected for. The generation is automated with no operator intervention needed during treatment. Page 7
8 2.1 Introduction Chapter 2 Brief Technical Description MAGNETRON-40 was developed to treat various physical Ailments through PEMF Therapy (Pulsed Electro Magnetic Filed Therapy). It mainly consists of two parts: 1. The control section 2. The Power supply section An A.C. supply voltage of 230V is transformed, regulated and processed to generate a pulsed train which goes as input to the control section. The control section in turn, generates another series of pulses in response to the received pulse train, which are again given back to the power supply card. The actual output which goes to the coil is a result of released power depending upon the pulses received from the inbuilt protected software controller card. 2.2 Package Information ITEM QTY MAGNETRON-40 System 1 Power Cable for 210V 240V Ac 50Hz 1 Output Cable 1 User Hand book 1 Page 8
