Certified to the Pressure Equipment Directive PED 2014/68/EU, Marine Equipment Directive MED 2014/90/EU and CEN EN3. 100% of the fire extinguishers are checked by an electronic helium leak detection system. 3 ANAFGROUP TECHNICAL VERIFICATION AND REFILLING MODEL FS6 - JF E APRIL 2018 B 1. General Information This information is a maintenance guide for a competent and qualified staff. This brochure doesn't take into consideration all the cases that can happen during a control or a servicing operation, but it simply gives some information for the commonest situations. 2. Tools The special tools and the equipment that follow are necessary for the maintenance of this type of fire extinguisher: USE INDIVIDUAL PROTECTION MEANS - A source of dry air or of nitrogen under a pression of at least 15 bar. These gases has to be without oil; - A re-pressurisation adapter; - A hose, equipped on one side of a rapid connection for "schrader valve"; - A connection for a manometer M10x1. 3. Precautions As a consequence of the thin thickness of the bottle, keep attention on its closing in the connecting terminals. These connecting terminals have to be designed in such a way to measure 170 mm of diametre and to create a clamping force not greater than 60 Nm. It is better to film the surfaces in contact with the fire extinguisher with a protection made up of a semi-hard caoutchou of 2-3 mm of thickness. 4. Spare parts The following spare parts are the result of our experience and their number may vary according to your particular conditions. The neddle has to be in the green zone if the temperature of the body is between 0 et +60 ºC. Check the damages of the body, also the loss of painting. Check the good position of the safety pin and of the seal wire. 6. Servicing after visual inspection If the indication of the manometer is not correct, remove it from its place and verify that the indication comes back to zero. On the contrary, substitute it. If the indication is correct and the neddle is in the red zone LOW, pressurize; if it is in the red zone HIGHT, depressurize according to the following data:

Pressure, bar 0 0, , , , To pressurize, remove the safety pin; prepare the pressurizing adapter, open the source of nitrogen at 15 bar max and pressurize by pushing on the lever to obtain the pression desidered. ATTENTION: Avoid any excessive pressure differences. The bottle can be re-painted, if necessary. As regards the painting, check that the range of the safety pin on the neck is completely painted: it is necessary to obtain a surface completely smooth to garantie a good tightness when the fire extinguisher is pressurized. The painting specifications are the following: - Process: Dry electrostatic coating; - Preparation: Remove completely the existing painting, washing with iron phospahte, rince and drying; - Resin: polyester, red type RAL 3000; the thickness of the covering has to be of at least 75 µm; - Heating: 180 ºC during 25 mn. The painting has to cover the caulk of the neck, but the tapping has to remain gross. In case of damage of the bottle or of the valve, substitute them. To do that, depressurize as indicated in paragraph 7. Check the integrity of the body and of the valve by an hydraulic verfication at 22 bar for the body and 25 for the valve. Reject the bottles with fissures, leaks ou deformations. 7. Refilling THE FOLLOWING OPERATIONS HAVE TO BE CARRIED OUT WITH THE FIRE EXTINGUISHER PUT IN A CLAMP - CFR. POINT 3. To refill the fire extinguisher, proceed in the following way: - Take the hose and the pressure gauge away from the valve; - To depressurize, remove the safety pin, push the schrader valve and let the gaz go out (Pos. 1, 2); - Assemble the pressure gauge again to check the absence of pressure inside the extinguisher; - Unscrew the valve from 1 to 1½ turns and, if no gaz can be heard, unscrew completely the valve (Pos. 3, 4A/B); - Empty the content of the fire extinguisher in a specific container, according to the regulations on the country in which the fire extinguisher is used; - Wash the interior of the bottle, the valve, the dip tube with water being carefull not to contaminate the environment; - Blow the interior of the bottle, the valve, the dip tube with dry air and without oil; - Refill the bottle with: 1) 4,92 lt (+0;-5%) of distilled water ; 2) the content of the Anaf Recharge Kit (cod E ); DO NOT USE EITHER OTHER TYPES OF ADDITIVES AND FOLLOW THE A. M. ORDER OF THE ELEMENTS! Pos. 3 Pos. 5 Pos. 1 Pos. 2 Pos. 4A Pos. 4B Pos. 6 Pos. 7 - Check the cleaness of the valve, of the pressure gauge and of the cylinder. Replace the o-ring of the valve, the pressure gauge. Sligtly lubricate the o-ring of the valve and of the pressure gauge (Pos. 5). - Put the valve in its place and clamp at 35 ± 2 Nm (Pos. 6); - Remove safety clip and safety pin away (Pos. 7); - Put the adapter on the opening; - Connect the hose on the pressurizing adapter (We advise to use nitrogen or\ dry air) and begin the re-pressurizing; ATTENTION: Open the pressurising adapter at 18 bar max. The pression of the pressurizing gaz has to be controlled, begin with a pressure from 4 to 5 bar and wait for the desired pression. - Remove the hose and the pressurising adapter; - Clean the fire extinguisher with a wiping rag and put the fire extinguisher in the foreseen place.

Control of the manometer Proceed in the following way: - Unscrew the manometer from its position; - Check that the neddle of the manometer retourns to zero; - Put a manometer of control to check the pressure; - Place the manometer, previously taken away; - Check that the indication of the manometer retourns to the foreseen indication.

6 Terms of Guarantee Period of Guarantee Our products are guaranteed against defaults of material or construction for 24 months from date of delivery. This is applied in accordance to CE Directive 1999/44/CE from European Parliament. This is valid only in the European Union/ European Economic Area. National Norms Under National Norms all fire extinguishers must be serviced every year. In case of lack of this service we recommend a period of validity for the fire extinguishers of 5 years since date of production. Exclusions. Guarantee does not cove Defects, loss or damage arising from non-compliance with instructions for installation and use printed on the extinguisher; any defect or non-conformity where not due to ANAF Group s negligence and where caused by transportation, mis-application, mis-use, accidental damage, impact damage, user neglect, unapproved alteration or modification, failure to use for normal purposes, improper servicing or repair by the user or any third party service provider not authorized; any defect or non-conformity caused due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control such as fire, flood, earthquake, war riot, civil commotion, malicious damage, compliance with government order, strike or labor dispute; any defect or non-conformity due to use or storage in adverse environmental operating conditions (including excessive humidity, temperature variation and/or water ingress, excessive smoke or dust); any defect or non-conformity due to damages without possibility of verification or due to wrong use, wrong installation, transport or stockage; any defect or non-conformity if fire extinguisher is modified, opened or refilled in any of this cases, the guarantee is automatically cancelled. Specially if this operations are not done under our Maintenance Instructions and without our Original Spare Parts. Important Facts Any product would not be returned back to ANAF without right agreement from the company's responsible. In case of restitution, we have the right of repair, replace or credit the cost of purchase of the product. Storage must be done in a safe, dry and clean area without corrosive or toxic agents near and always in original packaging.
