1 VALVE INNOVATIONS Split Ball Valve series The patented split ball valve design is a one stop shop for all your portal access needs.

2 The Split Ball Valve is the perfect solution for charging powders/liquids/slurries/solids, the introduction of analytical probes and PAT technology without the need to lower your system to atmospheric conditions. The Split Ball Valve is unique in design, the only genuinely pressure rated unit within the split valve technology arena giving full bore uninterrupted access into a pressurised and non-pressurised system.

3 The Split Ball Valve is designed to be separated into two halves i.e. passive and active sections whilst maintaining the pressure envelope. Dust covers can be fitted when not in use or security sealing blanks with a calibrated pressure gauge fitted to visually ensure seal integrity The design consists of two body halves and two ball halves and when docked together act and perform as a standard ball valve. The Split Ball Valve when fitted to a pressurised system removes the need for two valve isolation, eliminates the possibility of crosscontamination and the need to lower the system to atmospheric condition to allow the docking procedure to take place. Positive twist action docking and alignment of active half onto passive half or alternatively tapered nipple alignment of active half onto passive half and secure using a standard clamp arrangement. The Split Ball Valve is fitted with two wash and purge facilities as standard. 1 Annulus CIP. Integrated as standard allowing product contact parts to be washed when in the open position, nitrogen purge to dry or upset bridged powders enabling flow, nitrogen blanket to prevent vapour escape and chamber evacuation using vacuum. 2 End Caps CIP Connections incorporated as standard, washes behind the ball, seals, valve bore, cracks and crevices when in the closed position. Drying using nitrogen purge after product transfer. When separated this facility allows the operator to be presented with a clean safe environment. The Split Ball Valve is uncomplicated with few individual moving parts making maintenance, cleaning and validation a effortless procedure.
