1 June 27th, 28th and 29th, 2014 SANCTION: Held under USA Swimming/Sierra Nevada Swimming Sanction Number: According to , In granting this approval, it is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free and held harmless from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the meet. LOCATION: Tokay High School, 1111 W. Century Blvd, (corner of Century Blvd. & Ham Lane, Lodi). From Highway 99 Exit at Kettleman Lane (Hwy 12), take Kettleman Lane west 2 miles to Ham Lane, left on Ham Lane, 2 blocks. From I-5 - Exit Highway 12 east to Ham Lane, right on Ham Lane, 2 blocks. Pool located directly east of tennis courts. TIMES: Friday: Warm-ups will begin at 4:30 p.m. and competition will start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday: Warm-ups will begin at 8:00 a.m. and competition will start at 9:00 a.m. FACILITIES: Outdoor 9 lane pool. Warm up/warm-down lane available. The competition course has been certified in accordance with C(4). The copy of such certification is on file. In accordance with Article C, the competition course has a pool depth of 13 ft. at and 11 ft at 16 5 at the start end. At the turn end it is 4 ft at and 4 ft 6 inches at The water depth of the separate warm-up lane, in accordance with Article C, has a pool depth of 13 ft at and 11 ft at 16 5 at the start end, which is the same measurements as the competition pool. At the turn end it is 4 ft at and 4 ft 6 inches at ELIGIBILITY: All swimmers must have a current USA Swimming Membership. The SNS Registrar will verify all swimmer memberships prior to the meet and, if valid these swimmers will be allowed to check-in and compete. Note that SNS does not allow swimmers to register for a USA Swimming Membership at the meet. According to D, "Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When accompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement." RULES: Current USA Swimming and Sierra Nevada Swimming rules will govern the meet, including warm-ups. The meet will be deck seeded. All events are timed finals. Events will be swum slowest to fastest. Additionally, flyover starts may be used at the discretion of the Meet Referee. If so, swimmers are reminded to stay in the pool and close to the edge at the completion of their race. Events 1 through 6 on Friday night will be seeded fastest to slowest and may be swum alternating women and men. For the 400 freestyle events on Friday, swimmers must provide their own timers. SAFE SPORT: In furtherance of the USA Swimming and Sierra Nevada Swimming athlete protection program, the use of audio or visual recording devices, including cell phones, photography of any form (video, digital, cell phone, ipad, SLR camera etc.) is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms or behind the starting end of the pool. Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is strongly discouraged. Glass containers are not permitted on the pool deck. Use of propane heaters is prohibited.

2 ENTRY FEES: $4.00 per event for all entries, $8.00 per swimmer pool charge. If the cap has not been reached, deck entries will be accepted for $5.00 per event, plus a pool charge of $8.00. Make check payable to Lodi City Swim Club and mail to: Meet Director 783 Palm Ave. Lodi, CA ENTRY LIMITS: It is up to the Meet Director and Meet Referee to ensure that no sessions with swimmers 12 & Under last longer than 4 hours under USA Swimming Rule F Should such sessions on any day be estimated to last longer than 4 hours, swimmers may be required to scratch down until that requirement is met. The meet will be capped at 350 swimmers. Swimmers may swim four events per day. If they enter more than four events, per day, a refund will not be issued. ENTRIES: Two Options Option 1: Postal Mail Entries: Entries must be on a S.A.M.M.S. consolidated card or facsimile (please use a copy of the enclosed Sample). This must be completely filled out, including best short course time. "No Time" entries are accepted if the swimmer has never swum an event before. Entries must be postmarked by Monday, June 9, The cap will be determined when the entries are received. Mailed entries, with postmarks prior to the due date, will not be accepted if received after the cap has been exceeded. Online entries are the best way to ensure you are entered in the meet. No telephone confirmations will be made. Option 2: Online Meet Entries: Enter at entry deadline is Thursday, June 12, 2014, 11:59 PM. Online entry requires payment by credit card using their secure website. The cost of using Online Meet Entry is $1 per swimmer plus 5% of the total entry fees. Please note that the processing fee is a separate fee from the meet entry fees. Online Meet Entry fees are paid to Swim Connection, LLC. Fees collected by the use of this system are completely voluntary. Online Meet Entry is in no way required or expected of a swimmer by Sierra Nevada Swimming. Deck Entries: Deck entries for each session will only be accepted prior to the start of the session if the Meet Director and Meet Referee determines that sessions with swimmers 12 & Under can be completed within four hours. Deck entries will be swum for time only; they will not be scored or awarded. For inquiries about deck entries, the Meet Director after Sunday, June 15, SCRATCH DOWN: The Meet Referee, with the concurrence of the Meet Director, may require a mandatory scratch down. In this case, swimmers will be given a coupon for the value of the entry fee that can be redeemed for cash or used at the snack bar. COACHES: All coaches must have evidence of their USA Swimming Certification on hand. Coaches unable to present evidence of certification will not be allowed to coach on the Pool Deck. Programs will only be given to coaches whose cards are visible. Those Coaches without evidence of certification who wish to remain at the competition must sit in the spectator area.

3 OFFICIALS: All working officials are expected to display their active 2014 membership cards at the meet. Any official or trainee unable to present evidence of certification will not be allowed to officiate. Dress for officials is white polo shirts and navy blue pants/shorts/skirts and white walking shoes. Official briefing sessions will be held 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the meet. RESTRICTIONS: Smoking is not allowed on any Lodi Unified School District facility. Anyone desiring to smoke must go off campus to do so. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is also prohibited in areas adjacent to the pool (on the deck, in bleachers, dressing rooms and swimmer rest areas). Glass containers are not permitted on the pool deck. Use of propane heaters is prohibited. AWARDS: BB Division: Ribbons 1st thru 8th place. A medals will be awarded to B swimmers achieving A times. 8 & unders, 9-10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/18 will be awarded separately in individual events. A+ Division: 1st thru 8th distinctive ribbons. 8 & unders, 9-10, 11/12, 13/14, 15/18 will be awarded separately in individual events. Awards not picked up will not be mailed. ADMISSION: Free. Three-day program available for a reasonable fee. Snack bar available. Working officials/coaches will be served lunch and refreshments.
