4 1. General Information: The rules and regulations (WB and RO) of the German Swimming Federation (DSV) and the antidoping regulations will be in full force during the competitions. 2. The one-start-rule will apply no false start. 3. Participation authorization: Participation is open to members of clubs / start communities that are affiliated of the DSV Swimming Association and are in the possession of association rights, as well as all the associations and clubs from abroad, unless they are a member of FINA, through their national associations and have the right to start 4. The age groups 2009 and younger are not entitled to compete. In events 31, 32, 35 and 36 the age groups 2007 and younger are not entitled to compete. Swimmers in the 2008 are groupe are allowed a maximum of 6 evnets per day, including relay and finals events. 5. Specification of the pool: The swimming pool is 50 m long with 8 lanes, divided by wavebreaking ropes. The depth of the pool is 1.80meter at all points. Water s temperature is around 26 C. 6. Teams which do not have access to equivalent computer programs can enter their enrollments on the DSV-form 102 entry-list along with the letter of acknowledgement, DSV-form 101. These forms are available under ( >> schwimmen >> Formulare). We kindly ask you to include the mailing address, phone and fax number as well as an address of the athletic director responsible for enrollment. According to 8 of WB from the DSV, 8. Deadline, Limitation of entries: The deadline to sign up is November 29th, 2018 at 11:00pm at the entry mailing address. The host maintains the ability to refuse admittance of entries if the number of entries does not allow for a fair-minded process of the event. The last incurred entries will not be considered from the mailing address in this case With increased participation, the host will remand to change the starting time. Attention: Registration during the event is not possible! 9. Entry fee: 7,75 in DSV format: for each single entry 12,75 in DSV format: for each relay entry 17,75 in DSV format: for each four-events-contest Regarding entries that do not follow the DSV format, the fee will by increase 1,00 each time for each entry. One can pay through a collection-only check as well as cash (including foreign club teams) before the start of the competition meet. Panel of judges: If a team has 10 entries in one session they have to provide 1 and if teams have more than 10 entries in one session they will have to provide two valid licensed judges. For sessions 2 and 5, the number of entries is decisive based on session 3 and session 6 respectively. 11. Meet program: Each participating club will receive a confirmation of receipt of its entries. The meet program will be available as a PDF version on our homepage ( >>schwimmen >> dr. otto fahr) on Dezember 5th, Seeding of heats: The preliminary heats will be set and timed by international rules without consideration of age groups and ranking. In all other heats the seeding of the lanes will be decided by the registration or qualification times. 13. Competition standings: Based on age group (view order of events). Age groups 1999/2000 as well as 1998 and older age groups will be competing together. Age groups 2001 until 2008 will be competing separately based on their own age group and will be awarded individually. There are no individual age group standings for the 2007 and 2008 age groups regarding the 50m butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50m breaststroke, and 50m freestyle events. Swimmers can be entered in single events. Allgemeine Bestimmungen 14. Final Heats Final heats for 101, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115 are youth finals Final heats for 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116 are open class. For 100m events, there will be final heats for open class as well as youth indicating age group 2004 and younger. The eight fastest swimmers from prelims will qualify for the final. Swimmers from age group 2004 and younger who qualified for both, the youth final and the open class can only compete in one. The swimmer can chose from which final he/she wishes to scratch. In case no scratch, the swimmer will automatically start in the open class final and the next qualified swimmer would move into the youth final. Otherwise, WB 131 Abs. 15 is applied/ A swim off will be held to determine participation in a final in case swimmers swam the same time in prelims: WB 131 Abs Four-event-contest: For youth D (07/08): To be eligible to compete in the four-event-contest, one individual of the age group 07 or 08 must swim all four 50m events. The rating of the four-event-contest is based on addition of points, which were achieved in each of the four events according to the valid DSV point chart. In case of disqualifications, resign or nonattendance, this swimmer will be accredited 0 points. Winner of the four-event-contest in each age group (07 and 08) is the swimmer who achieves the highest collective points throughout each of the four 50m events. 16. Required time: For WK 16 / 17 6:10,00min For WK 31 / 32 6:15,00min Scratches for these events close on December 8th, 2018 at 10:00am. Afterwards each heat will be seeded. 17. Staffeln: WK 9 two female and two mals swimmers WK 26 three female and three mals swimmers 18. Auszeichnungen: a) Medals in gold, silver, and bronze will be awarded to each of the first three swimmers in one age group or according to age group rating. Relay participants will receive medals and certificates based on the same rules as applied to single competition events. b) Certificates receive the 8 best placed of a discipline per year c) Winners of the relay and four-event-contest events will be awarded with the Dr. Otto-Fahr-Gedächtnispokal trophy. These trophies will go into full possession of the winning team and the winner of the fourevent-contest respectively. d) For each of the100m final the winners will receive prize money Open Class: 1st place: 70,00 2nd place: 60,00 3rd place: 40,00 Youth Final: 1st place: 50,00 2nd place: 40,00 3rd place: 20,00 e) Additionally, 20 award heats will be carried out that will be drawn randomly at the beginning of the competition. The winner will either receive a cash prize of 5,00 or a prize in-kind. f) The victory ceremony is part of the competition. If not in attendance, the athlete looses his/her right for medals, trophies, awards, price money etc. Given the circumstance of event order and racing, the individual has the opportunity t notify awards ceremony personnel of not being in attendance in advance. The price money for each winner of the final heat and any meet records will only be distributed during the medal ceremony. A pick-up afterwards, sending a third person, or being sent in the mail is impossible. Personal attendance is mandatory in order to receive these prizes. 19. Meet record: For the improvement of a meet record, the host will issue a prize money of 90,00 for each record. However, if a record will be improved multiple times throughout the course of the event, only the fastest time counts. Split times will not be acknowledged as records. 20. For handicapped swimmers with the appropriate classification of evidence the rules and regulations of the German Disabled Sports Federation (DBS) will be in force additionally. 21. No glass bottles or other fragile glass objects are allowed on the pool deck. -Validation has only the german version- Super-Cup: WK Participants 1.1 Formed by the four fastest male and female swimmers of each 100m final of each stroke Final heats 101, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115 are youth finals Final heats 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116 are open class 1.2 When an athlete scratches, no one will replace him/her! 2 Heat Regulations: 2.1 All together there will be three heats. 2.2 Each finalist will swim the stroke from the previous 100m finale- Step 1.1-(A change of stroke is not permitted) 2.3 The times used will always be the ones recorded in the final heat. 2.4 The distribution of lanes will occur in reverse order_ Lane 4- slowest lane Lane 8 fastest time based on previous final heats 2.5 Swimmers start with delay. Lane ; the distances between start form the time differences based on the differences from previous final heat times- Step After each heat there will be a 240s break. 2 Heat 1 and 2: 2.1 After every heat the last two participants are eliminated. 2.2 If multiple swimmers have the same time, each will stay in the race 2.3 If 2.2 applies, the participant pool is larger for the next heat and step 2.1 will be continued 3 Heat 3: 3.1 The last four participants start, unless step 2.2/2.3 apply 3.2 This heat will start the same as heat 1 and 2 did previously. 3.3 In case no true winner can be identified based on time equivalence for example, the heat will restart until one true winner is found. While doing so, the break between each heat will be shortened to 60 seconds. 4 Assistance: 4.1 Each swimmer is allowed to receive supported by his/her coach behind the blocks. 5 Awards: A swimmer who touches the wall first in the final heat wins the SV Cannstatt - Super-Cup-. The winner receives a prize award of 500euros and 3 free entries for the 45th Dr. Otto-Fahr Gedächtnisschwimmen *. If a swimmer wins each oft he three heats, an additional bonus of 250 euros will be added. If none oft he current competitors accomplishes this, the bonus will go towards next year s Dr. Otto-fahr Swim-Meeting and will increase the jackpot according tot hat amount. *Starts are not transferable
