4 1. General Information: The rules and regulations (WB and RO) of the German Swimming Federation (DSV) and the anti-doping regulations will be in full force during the competitions. 2. The one-start-rule will apply no false start. 3. Participation authorization: Participation is open to members of clubs / start communities that are affiliated of the DSV Swimming Association and are in the possession of association rights, as well as all the associations and clubs from abroad, unless they are a member of FINA, through their national associations and have the right to start. 4. The age groups 2008 and younger are not entitled to compete. In events 33, 34, 35 and 36 the age groups 2006 and younger are not entitled to compete. Swimmers in the 2007 age group are allowed a maximum of 6 events per day, including relay and finals events. 5. Specification of the pool: The swimming pool is 50 m long with 8 lanes, divided by wavebreaking ropes. The depth of the pool is 1.80meter at all points. Water s temperature is around 26 C. 6. Automatic measuring will be used. 7. Teams which do not have access to equivalent computer programs can enter their enrollments on the DSV-form 102 entry-list along with the letter of acknowledgement, DSV-form 101. These forms are available under ( >> schwimmen >> Formulare). We kindly ask you to include the mailing address, phone and fax number as well as an address of the athletic director responsible for enrollment. According to 8 of WB from the DSV, the competition capability of the entered athletes has to be confirmed. 8. Deadline, Limitation of entries: The deadline to sign up is Monday, Dezember 4th, 2017 at 11:00pm at the entry mailing address. The host maintains the ability to refuse admittance of entries if the number of entries does not allow for a fair-minded process of the event. The last incurred entries will not be considered from the mailing address in this case With increased participation, the host will remand to change the starting time. Attention: Registration during the event is not possible! 9. Entry fee: 7,75 (entry in DSV format: 7,25 ) per single entry 12,75 (entry in DSV format: 12,25 ) per rely entry 17,75 (entry in DSV format: 17,25 ) per four-events-contest (only age groups 2006 und 2007; all four 50m events). The entry fee is payable on arrival (before the first start). A non-cash payment by check is possible as well as cash. Panel of judges: If a team has 10 entries in one session they have to provide 1 and if teams have more than 10 entries in one session they will have to provide two valid licensed judges. For sessions 2 and 5, the number of entries is decisive based on session 3 and session 6 respectively. 11. Meet program: Each participating club will receive a confirmation of receipt of its entries. The meet program will be available as a PDF version on our homepage ( >>schwimmen >> dr. otto fahr) on Dezember 5th, Seeding of heats: The preliminary heats will be set and timed by international rules without consideration of age groups and ranking. In all other heats the seeding of the lanes will be decided by the registration or qualification times. General rules 13. Competition ratings: Based on age groups (view order of competition). Age groups 1998/1999 as well as 1997 and older age groups will be competing together. Age groups 2000 until 2007 will be competing separately based on age group. The finale heats for 102, 104, 106, 108, 110, 112, 114, 116 are open group. The eight fastest times of the individual competition events 1, 2, 5, 6, 18, 19, 22 and 23 from age groups 2002 and older will qualify for the finale heats for the open group. The finale heats for 101, 103, 105, 107, 109, 111, 113, 115 are youth finals. The eight fastest times of the individual competition events 1, 2, 5, 6, 18, 19, 22 and 23 from age group 2003 and younger will qualify for the finale heats of the youth finale There are no age group ratings for the 2006 and 2007 age groups regarding the 50m butterfly, 50 backstroke, 50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle events. Other individual competition events can be entered though. For the age groups 2006 and 2007, solely a rating based on the 50m four-event-contest will be given. 14. Four-event-contest: For youth D (06/07): To be eligible to compete in the four-event-contest, one individual of the age group 2006 or 2007 must swim all four 50m events. The rating of the four-event-contest is based on addition of points, which were achieved in each of the four events according to the valid DSV point chart. In case of disqualifications, resign or nonattendance, this swimmer will be accredited 0 points. Winner of the four-event-contest in each age group (06 and 07) is the swimmer who achieves the highest collective points throughout each of the four 50m events. 15. Relay: Two female and two male swimmers need to be seeded in the 4x50m mixed freestyle and medley relay. 16. Awards: a) Medals in gold, silver, and bronze will be awarded to each of the first three swimmers in one age group or according to age group rating. Relay participants will receive medals and certificates based on the same rules as applied to single competition events. b) Certificates will be available to all participate who did not disqualify during their event. c) Winners of the relay and four-event-contest events will be awarded with the Dr. Otto-Fahr-Gedächtnispokal (trophy). Those trophies will go into full possession of the winning team and the winner of the four-event-contest respectively. d) The winners of the 100m Final heats will receive Open group: Platz 1: 60,00 Platz 2: 45,00 Platz 3: 27,00 Youth: Platz 1: 45,00 Platz 2: 34,00 Platz 3: 20,00 e) Additionally, 20 prize heats will be carried out, which will be selected randomly at the beginning of the competition. The winner will either receive a cash prize of 5,00 or an item prize. f) The victory ceremony is part of the competition. If not in attendance, the athlete looses his/her right for medals, trophies, price money etc. 17. Meet record: For the improvement of a meet record, the host will issue a prize money of 70,00 for each record. However, if a record will be improved multiple times throughout the course of the event, only the fastest time counts. Split times will not be acknowledged as records. 18. For handicapped swimmers with the appropriate classification of evidence the rules and regulations of the German Disabled Sports Federation (DBS) will be in force additionally. 19. Results/Documents: Those will be made available no later than on the third business day after the competition on the homepage of the SVW ( and/or on the homepage of the SV Cannstatt ( >>schwimmen >> dr. otto fahr). 20. Liability: The organizers and the Sindelfinger Baederbetriebe are not liable for lost property, damages or injuries. No glass bottles or other fragile glass objects are allowed on the pool deck. 21.
