2 1. Schedule The Dutch Open Championships shortcourse will take place in the Drieburcht swimming pool, Tilburg, December For the event schedule please check the final pages of this document. 2. Standard times The qualifying standards for the event need to be met in order to participate. The qualification conditions can be found on the final pages in this document. There are separate standards for Para athletes. Please send us an e- mail so we can provide you with the Paralympic time standards. 3. Regulations Dutch Open Swimming Championchips 3.1 Eligibility Entry times can be achieved between 1 st of September 2017 and December 9 th 2018 in official competitions under FINA regulations. It is mandatory that entry times can be verified, preferably by Swimrankings.net. 3.2 Entries Entry deadline is Tuesday December 11 th, 23:59. Upon entering you will receive a confirmation twice: An automatic confirmation that your was received A personal message confirming your entry was processed. Only after receiving this second message your entries are accepted. You can send your entries via , please mention Entry ONK + your team name in the subject line. You need to send the SPLASH / Lenex data file, and the list of participants as a PDF file. You can make your registration complete, to add your contact info via Splash Team Manager, for which a separate manual on the KNZB website is available. You can request the number of team leader cards in the registration . You can download a non-license entry editor at: All files can be sent to nkinschrijvingen@knzb.nl. Please include ONK in the subject line. NB. All file names must be in the following format: yyyy-mm-dd=teamname-onkkb2018-inschr.lxf and yyyymm-dd=teamname-onkkb2018-inschr.pdf For Para athletes the classification and dispensation codes must be included in the lxf files. 3.3 Ineligible, incomplete or late registrations. Unwarranted registration means: times that do not fully correspond to the times in the report. times that do not match the fastest time on the relevant event in the limit period. times swum in competitions, of which no record is received at the KNZB. For all unauthorized entries an administrative fee can be charged. 4, seeding and withdrawals All events will be swum in the open category of men and women. will be swum in 8 lanes. Swimmers with disabilities will swim in the regular program, based on their entry times. The 800 men and freestyle women will have a timed final in the morning. The 800 women and freestyle men will have a timed final in the afternoon. Relays have an A-final only. All other distances from 50 to 400 meters have an A, B-final The are for Dutch athletes only. Withdrawals can be done until 24hrs before the first event via nkinschrijvingen@knzb.nl where all competition days are considered as part of one competition. 5 Finals; placement, withdrawal and reserve swimmers Finals will be swum in 8 lanes during the afternoon sessions. The finals are open for all. However the of each event is for Dutch athletes only. Withdrawal can be done in writing at the resolution desk within 30 minutes after the announcement of the results of the heats of the event concerned. 12

3 For each final two back up swimmers will be appointed. An athlete that does not want to be lined up as back up swimmer must withdraw as well. 6 Paralympic athletes Para swimmers will be seeded in the heats according to entry times. The 8 athletes with the highest point ranking will proceed to the final. The Para-finals will be separated finals. In case of fewer than 4 Para swimmers, no final will be swum. The times of the heats will define the ranking. The following classes are applicable for swimmers with a disability. This also applies to distances with "IPC" are indicated. There are no prizes for non Dutch competitors. Relay-swimmers that only have swum in the heats do not participate in the victory ceremony but will receive their medal afterwards. Swimmers with disabilities: - The prizes will be awarded for each program number and not by class. To do this, use will be made of an IPC points table that compares the performance of a program number between different classes or may be scored. In this way, a single overall winner determined for each program number. - Disabled swimmers may also qualify for the regular A and B finals. Their results will be included in both the regular number as in the Paralympic number. - If there is no final in the afternoon, the awards ceremony will take place in the morning. 8 Entry fee and payment The entrance fee is 10,00 per entry, PLUS 3,50 per coach per day. Relays 15,- per entry. The fee of all foreign competitors must be paid prior to the start of the tournament at the information desk or via bank transfer before the event.
