2 Saturday, July 14, 2018 Morning Session: Warm-ups 7:00-9:00 am Butterfly Backstroke Afternoon Session: Open Warm-ups for 1 hour following am session 30 minutes prior to pm session Not before 1:00 pm Long Freestyle Freestyle Relay Individual Event Awards will be held at the end of each day s competition. Team Awards will be held at the end of Saturday s competition. Location: Official pool address is 844 Shoal Creek Trail NE, Arab, AL However, for a more accurate location according to Google Maps for your GPS you should use 224 City Park Drive NE, Arab, AL Facility: POOL One outdoor 8-lane; short course 25-yard competition pool. Non-turbulent lane ropes, wave suppression gutters around the perimeter, a 16 foot depth diving well, near side depth 5 foot, far end depth 3.5 feet. Fully automatic Colorado System 5 electronic timing system, dual push buttons at each block, one LED scoreboard with 8 lane, time, place, event, and heat display. Manual stop watch backup. Hospitality: Hospitality will be available to coaches, officials, and timers only. Team Pictures: Team pictures will be included in the District program free of charge. Please a digital image of your team to mtviewpoultry@yahoo.com by June 15, Programs: Program ads will be available for purchase. Please see the attached order form. Deadline for inclusion in the District program is June 15, Checks are to be made payable to Arab Swim Team.

3 Qualifying for ARPA State Meet: The 1st-4th place finishers in the District Meet will advance to the ARPA State Meet, regardless of time. The 5th-16th place finishers will advance to the State Meet if they meet the qualifying time. The top 9 relay teams in each event will qualify for the ARPA State Meet. Swimmers with Disabilities: Please submit to the meet director and meet referee any swimmer with a disability. If the disability requires special lane assignment or other accommodation, please note this information in the submission. Missed Races: In the event that a swimmer misses his/her race ever effort will be made to deck enter the swimmer in another heat of the same event. No new heats will be created unless the missed race was due to a meet worker error. Scratches: All scratches should be submitted to the Clerk of Course during the scratch meeting. There will be no lane changes due to scratches, unless the scratch results in the ability to combine 2 heats in the event. Scoring: Individual Events-9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Relay Events-18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 Awards: Individual Events-Medals for 1st-3rd place, ribbons for 4th-8th place Relay Events-Medals for 1st-3rd place, ribbons for 4th-8th place Team-Trophies for 1st-3rd place Warm-ups: Warm-up schedule will be posted after entries are submitted. Coaches Meetings: A coaches meeting will be held at the following times: Diving: Thursday, July 12, at 10:00 am Swimming: Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, at 8:00 am Safety: Only meet workers, coaches, and officials will be allowed to stay on the pool deck. Parents and swimmers will be able to watch races from a designated observation area. All patrons are asked to observe all posted pool rules and to conduct themselves in a safe manner. Eligibility: All swimmers must be ARPA Swimming registered and listed on the official team roster. Rules: Current ARPA and United State Swimming rules will govern the meet. Age: A swimmer s age as of June 1, 2018 will determine age for the meet.

4 Events: 86 age group events. will follow an open format. All events will be timed finals. The order of events is attached. Referee reserves the right to combine heats and/or events. Entries: Teams are required to submit entries using HYTEK s Team Manager program software. A computer printout of entries with the event numbers and event description must accompany events in published order. Entry Limit: Each swimmer may enter a maximum of 3 individual, 2 relay, and 2 diving events. Late Entries: Late entries will not be accepted unless the protest committee allows it. Entry Errors: If due to a meet error the swimmer will be deck-entered into an open lane of the heat nearest him/her entry time or in a new heat. The entire event will not be reseeded. Entry Deadline: ARPA Team Roster, Medical Release Forms, birth certificates, and entry fees (including surcharges) must be received by Friday, June 29, 2018, whether mailed or delivered. No entry fees will be refunded.
