1 Dash For Cash Hosted by the Guelph Marlin Aquatic Club December 7, 8 and 9, 2018 Location: Facility: Meet Description: University of Guelph, 50 Stone Road East, Guelph, Ontario Athletic Centre, Gold Pool, 8 Lane - 25m, with electronic timing An open invitational meet with no time standards. For 12 and under swimmers, all individual and relay events are timed finals. For 13 and over swimmers, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle and 400m IM are timed finals, but all other events are morning prelims with evening finals. Cash events for timed finals for 12 and under, cash events for finals for 13 and over, and 50m breaststroke eliminator for 13 and over swimmers. The only meet package which will be considered as valid must be the most current version found on Competition Coordinator: John Gerrard, Level 4, jgerrard@habitathm.ca Meet Manager: Competition Rules: Sue Steele, Level 2, smsteele_1965@yahoo.ca Sanctioned by Swim Ontario. All current Swimming Canada (SC) rules will be followed. All swimmers participating in a provincially sanctioned meets shall be required to comply with swimwear rule GR 5. 2 Dive Starts: As per the Facility Rules for Dive Starts, Starts will be conducted from Starting Platforms (blocks) as per FINA FR 2.3 and SW 4.1 from the deep end only. Age up Date: Ages submitted are to be as December 7, 2018 Eligibility: Entry Fee: Entries: All athletes must be registered as Competitive swimmers with SNC, or any other amateur swimming organization recognized by FINA. $12 per event $13 for 400m Freestyle & 400 IM, and $14 for 800m Freestyle. $15 per relay. Entries are due by November and must be submitted through the SNC online entries system at Changes to entries will not be accepted after 11:59 pm on November 23, After that time, fees will be calculated; no refunds will be granted for missed swims. Meet Management has the right to limit the number of swims by swimmer based on meet capacity. Conversion: There will be no conversion of entry times Coaches Registration: Meet management will cross reference the list of coaches in attendance at this competition with the Swim Ontario Compliancy lists. If a coach is not on this list, meet management is obligated to enforce the SNC policy and not permit that coach to attend meet. Meet management will forward Swim Ontario a list of coaches who they have found to be in non-compliance. Time Splits: Deck Entries: Scratches: Awards: Dash for Cash: Cash Prizes: Meet management requires that any coach wishing to rely on a time achieved by the swimmer for an interval shorter than the total distance of the event shall so advise the Referee prior to the commencement of the session (or event) in question. Deck entries will be accepted for empty lanes only (no new heats will be created). Swimmers entered on deck must have valid proof of SNC registration (number) as an active, registered, competitive swimmer. Entry fee per event as above. All scratches should be reported to the meet manager during warm-up. Ribbons for 1 st to 8 th for individual events for each of the following age Groups: 9 and under, 10, 11, 12, 13 and over. The Guelph Marlins are again offering the opportunity to all swimmers who feel they have what it takes to bring home some money. 13 & over winners of cash events will be determined at evening Finals. For men and women in each of the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-14, and 17 & over will be $100 first place (for finals only) and $50 first place for 12 and under for each of the following events:

The fastest 8 men and women in preliminaries will complete in the eliminator events. $200 each for women and men s champions Official Results will be posted within 48 hours of completion of the meet to meet mobile Only individuals that have made application and received authorization to record the event, in any manner, in any medium or context now known or hereafter developed, shall be granted access and permission to do so. Please contact Meet Management for application and authorization. Only participating swimmers, officials, certified registered coaches, and authorized people are allowed on deck. Slower heats may also be removed if an event is over subscribed. All distance events will be seeded fastest to slowest and are timed finals. Age groups for finals (13-14, 15-16, 17 and over) may be combined if the number of swimmers is small. The 50m breaststroke eliminator event will held during finals with the fastest 8 swimmers from the 13 and over prelimins competing. This event is not available for 12 and under. There will be 7 heats for this event, with one swimmer being eliminated in each round.
