4 General Information 1. Competition Organizer: Schwimmverein Bremen von 1910 e.v Competition regulations The current rules and regulations (WB and RO) of the German Swimming Federation and the anti-doping regulations will be in full force during the competition. The competition is open to all members of clubs registered with FINA or DSV. Upon registration clubs guarantee that their participants are fit for entry according to WB-AT 11 and entitled to compete according to 19 WB-At. According to 12 WB-AT (Protection of Minors) and DSV guidelines, swimmers born in may only start 6 times (incl. relays) per day. Adherence to this regulation is the responsibility of participating clubs. The following additional regulations apply to disabled swimmers: * Presentation of valid medical certificate / exemption * Presentation of official medication certificate according to anti-doping regulations * Disability and exemption must be transparent to the judge, i.e. proof of clearly- defined classification * For disabled swimmers with the appropriate proof of classification the rules and regulations of the German Disabled Sports Federation (DBS) will be additionally in force. 3. Specifications of the pool: Sportbad Universität; Badgasteiner Straße; Bremen. Length of lane: 25m, approx. 2.5m - 3.8m deep; 10 lanes divided by wave breaking ropes. Water temperature: Time measuring: Automatic time measuring; in case of malfunction: manual; manual time measuring in races WK 13/ / /38 (double allocation) 5. Start Rule: The one-start-rule will apply. Double allocation races will be started from the starting block. The slower heat starts approx. 10 seconds after the faster heat. In cases of foreign club participation the starting signal will be in English. 6. Heat classification: Seeding of heats will be decided by registration of qualification times. The organizers reserve the right to delete registrations in cases of over-registration, or to allow double allocation of lanes according to WB-SW 121, section 4 in races 13/ / /38 Races 13/ / /38: a list of all registered swimmers will be created in case of an excess of 10 registrations. Cancellations should be reported to the registration address or to the judges 45 minutes prior to the competition. The final heat and length allocation will not be made before this time. Allocation lists will be displayed in the pool and made available to the participating clubs. 4

Participating clubs are requested to print their own copies. 8. Rejections and schedule changes: The organizer reserves the right to reject entries and to adjust the schedule where necessary. Order of entry is the decisive factor. Details of entry rejections will be sent to clubs shortly after close of registration. Notification of schedule adjustments will be provided with the start lists. 9. Final entry date: Meldeschluss: F 10. Allocation of judges will be made in the judges' meeting. Please bring stop watches. Judges are requested to wear a neutral white shirt and dark trousers 5

Prizes and awards: Categories Year categories - for Age group categories - the youth category 'Jugend C' (2006 & 2005), 'Jugend B' (2004 & 2003), 'Jugend A' (2002 & 2001); Juniors (2000 & 1999) as well as 1998 and older will compete in an open category Open category for 200m breaststroke, 200m butterfly, 200m backstroke, 400m medley, as well as 400, 800 and 1500m freestyle and all relays Awards Medals for places 1-3 in all categories Certificates for places 4-6 in all categories Cups for the highest score in the youth categories Jugend E (2010 & 2009), Jugend D (2008 & 2007), Jugend C (2006 & 2005), Jugend B (2004 & 2003) and Jugend A (2002 & 2001) Additional prizes for the highest scoring female and male participant in the competition Prize for the highest score in the 2017 competition: Janne Baden, SGS Bremerhaven 50m F Zeit: 0:27, Pkt. Kristian Elfers, Bremischer SV 100m F Zeit: 0:52, Pkt. 13. Award Ceremonies: Award ceremonies are an integral part of the competition; the organizer reserves the right to allow break times for ceremonies. Prizes which are not claimed at the competition will not be forwarded. 14. Protocols and certificates: Protocols will not be printed. For certificates to be sent by post please submit 5 postage or a stamp-addressed envelope. Protocol files will be sent by and published on the homepage shortly after the competition. 15.
