We are working hard getting the pool swim ready! As always in the off season we have been working on pool improvements to make everyone s time at the pool more enjoyable. Please remember to thank all our volunteers, managers and especially our lifeguards for keeping this pool looking great and safe! Thanks to all, Sandy Wise Pool Dues are Due!!! 2014 pool dues are due prior to closing of opening day. Dues for pool members are $300, and seasonal members dues are $400. A $50.00 late fee will be assessed for any dues not paid by close of business on opening day May 24, Checks can be mailed to: Scott Stephenson 1716 Sanders Road Willow Spring, NC Pool Hours of Operation Sunday 1 pm to 8 pm Monday, Friday, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 10 am to 9 pm Pool Rental Info: The pool is available for rental for two-hour time periods for $125 to $150 (depending on group size) at the following times: Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday: 8 pm to 10 pm Please contact Addie or by at sportzmom56@aol.com 2

3 Pool News and Information for 2014 Swim Season Pool Rules: Children under 12 are not allowed to be left at pool without supervision of a person 16 or older* No glass bottles or alcoholic beverages Eating is only allowed in picnic area No Smoking including electronic cigarettes on pool property No profanity...no bullying...no horseplay No running anywhere in pool area No talking to lifeguards on duty and follow all lifeguards instructions. Not following pool rules and not obeying lifeguard instructions could result in having to sit out or dismissal from pool. *Children years of age may be left at pool unattended with the completion of a permission slip by parent or guardian. A permission slip would also be needed for any guest ages as well. These forms are required and include very important safety information. Guest Pass Information Members - Guest passes will be available for all members and kept at concession stand. Please check in all guests prior to swimming so that guest passes can be punched. Additional guest punch cards can be purchased for $ Seasonal Members - Guest passes for seasonal members who are on the waiting list to purchase a share will be made available this year. Passes can be purchased for $5.00 each. Concession Accounts Concession charge accounts will be available again for the 2014 Pool Season. Accounts can only be opened by an adult and must be paid by close of business each Saturday. Any accounts not paid will not be allowed to further charge until past payment is made in full. Any share with an unpaid balance at the end of season will be charged a $5 late fee per month or partial month Swim Lessons NOTICE: Costs for swimming lessons will be $75/members and $80/non-members. Dates, times and instructors will be available on opening day. Rain Out Alert System To help improve communication about pool closings and special events we will be using a free alert system (RainedOut) this season. If you have children who play sports with some of the local sports clubs you may already be familiar with the service. If not, it is very simple. If you opt in for the service you will receive messages sent by pool staff. The only charge to you is whatever your cell phone service charges for each text message you receive, or you can sign up for messages, or both, your choice. 4 2014 Manta Rays: The Manta Rays are back for another exciting season, and we hope all members join in supporting all the efforts of the swim team. There will be four home meets, so please be aware that the pool will close early for meets on those days. Please come out and support the team. Please be aware that the deep end and shallow ends of the pool will remain open to members and guests during operating hours while the Manta Rays are practicing. Swim Team Registration will be held at the pool on Thursday May 15 from 6 pm to 8pm. We hope to see all past Manta Ray team members and all interested in joining us for the first time for our 2014 season.
