Authority: The 2016 Australian National Junior will be organised by the Alice Springs Table Tennis Association under the authority granted by Table Tennis Australia (TTA) and the Northern Territory Table Tennis Association 2. 3 10. Entries Team: Each State Association may enter a maximum of five (5) players only in each of their teams. Only A & B teams, no C Teams Entry is through the Bulk Entry Form provided to states and available on the official website. President Team nominations must be made on the Bulk Entry Form - Team Entry Form. 11. Entries Individual: ALL players must enter using the separate individual entry form available from the official website or from their State Association. Entries must be returned to their State Association for collation onto the Bulk Entry Form. Individual Entry Forms will not be accepted by the host OC. 12. Eligibility: In order to be eligible to represent a State Association in any Team s event, a player must be a registered member of the State Association and a resident within the relevant State s jurisdiction for at least 183 days in the 365 days immediately preceding the closing date for entries of the championship. For Individual events competitors must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and a registered member of a State or Territory Association. All competitors shall be under the age stipulated for the Championship on the 31st day of December of the previous year to that in which the Championship is to be staged: E.g.: in 2016 Under 18 events player born on or after 1 st January 1998 or later Under 15 events: born on or after 1 st January 2001 Under 13 events: born on or after 1 st January System of Play: SINGLES - Individual: All Singles events (E1, E2, J1, J2, J6, J7.) will be conducted in 2 stages. Stage 1 will be qualifying in groups of 3 players each with the top player only of each group advancing to stage 2, which will be a knockout. Stage 1 will be best of 5 games and stage 2 will be best of 7 games. DOUBLES Individual: All Doubles Events (E3, E4, E5, J3, J4, J5, J8, J9, J10) will be a knockout event and best of 5 games. TEAM EVENTS: All team events will be a 9 match format of 9 singles all of which must be played out. All team events matches will be best of 5 games. 14. Reference This event will be played under TTA Regulations for National Junior Championships and ITTF Laws and Regulations.

4 15. Tentative schedule 1 st July 2016 Sections of the venue will be available for practice 2 nd July 2016 Practice/Opening Ceremony, Photos, Managers Meeting 3 rd July to 9 th July 2016 for Competition. A detailed schedule will be provided closer to the event. 16. Managers Meeting: A Management Committee will be appointed and carry out functions in terms of TTA regulations. One of these functions is to consider any appeals against rulings of the host organisation or the referee on a question of match or tournament conduct not covered in the Laws or Regulations. A Managers Meeting is scheduled for 2 nd July 2016 at the Venue starting at 7.00pm. All Managers must attend. 17. Draws: Draw to be done as soon as practical after the closing date and published on the official website and also Advice will be forwarded to all states and managers after publication. 18. Equipment: Tables: Xushaofa tables and nets Balls: Nittaku 3 star Premium 40mm Plastic White Floor: 7mm Rebound Ace 19. Closing Function The Presentation Dinner and Disco will be held at: Lasseters Hotel Convention Centre 93 Barrett Drive Until approximately 11.00pm. Cost will be $50-00 per person 20. TTA will arrange for the winners name or the state name to be engraved on the trophy. 21. Accommodation: Play is scheduled to start at 9am daily so travel time to the venue will need to be taken into consideration The following are some recommended accommodation options, but also check the website for further options, and there are plenty more. Weather Info: The temperature in Alice Springs in July can range from 0 at night and up to 20 Degrees or more during the day, so come prepared with suitable clothing for various temperature changes. For more information visit Changes: Changes in players entries will be accepted until the draw is done then after that all changes will have to be approved at the Managers Meeting at the beginning of the championship.

6 24. Racket Control: ITTF rules regarding rackets and racket coverings will be enforced. No gluing or re-gluing of rackets is permitted in the playing venue. The ITTF Equipment Committee strongly recommends all players to make certain that new coverings are aired 72 hours before use. 25. Deadlines: Preliminary Entry Form: 2 nd April 2016 Final Individual Entry Form: 14 st May 2016 Final Bulk Entry Form (States Only) 21 st May 2016 Changes in nominations: 17 th June TTA License Fee: A TTA license fee of $8.80 per player is included with the entry fees and will be payable by the host association. 27. Clothing: ITTF and TTA Clothing regulations will be enforced. The main colour of a shirt or shorts must not be white. Players should be neatly dressed, and not wear any clothing that might cause offence or bring the game into disrepute. Nominated doubles pairs from the same Association should be dressed uniformly. 28. Team Photos Team Photos will be taken on Saturday afternoon before and after the Opening Ceremony. Times will be advised to Team Managers. 29. Information By entering the event, players agree to abide by all TTA Regulations for National Junior Championships and ITTF Rules and Regulations for play. All entered associations and individual players agree to be under the auspices of TTA and its agents in all matters concerning television coverage, video, internet web casting, motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. Participants release all rights or rights held by their agents or sponsors, in all matters relating to television and web casting coverage, video and motion picture coverage and photographic coverage of any kind. A participant s refusal of above listed coverage may be subject to suspension or dismissal from the competition. 30. Betting: In the context of betting, participants shall not, by any manner whatsoever, infringe the principal of fair play, show unsporting conduct or attempt to influence the course or result of a competition or any part thereof in a manner contrary to sporting ethics. Any violation of this principal shall be disciplined according to provisions of ITTF regulations
