1 9.10 CLAY COUNTY SYSTEM SUMMARY Clay County is a type 4 E9-1-1 System consisting of three (3) Primary and one (1) Secondary E9-1-1 PSAPs SHERIFF S DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The Clay County Sheriff's Department Primary PSAP serves all of Clay County, except the cities of Green Cove Springs and Orange Park. Personnel function as call takers and radio dispatchers for law enforcement. Other calls are transferred to, neighboring PSAPs, and other designated agencies. Clay Sheriff operates as the county-wide primary PSAP for wireless 911 calls ORANGE PARK POLICE DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The Orange Park Police Department Primary PSAP will direct dispatches Law Enforcement. Calls for Fire and Rescue are transferred to the County Fire/Rescue Secondary PSAP GREEN COVE SPRINGS DEPARTMENT PRIMARY PSAP The Green Cove Springs Police Department Primary PSAP direct dispatches calls for the Green Cove Springs Police. Calls for Fire and Rescue are transferred to the Clay County Fire/Rescue Secondary PSAP FIRE/RESCUE SECONDARY PSAP The Fire/Rescue Secondary PSAP receives Fire and Rescue calls from the Primary PSAPs and provides direct dispatch for Fire and Rescue emergencies SYSTEM MANAGEMENT The Clay County E9-1-1 system is directed by an E9-1-1 coordinator. The responsible fiscal agent is the Board of County Commissioners INTERLOCAL AGREEMENTS The Clay County E9-1-1 System has selective routing thereby eliminating all central office overlaps with adjoining counties. Therefore, there is no specific requirement for an interlocal agreement.
