1 Bank of America Chicago Marathon Community Outreach Community Outreach Overview

2 Community Outreach Overview On Sunday, October 7, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon will welcome 45,000 registered runners to the City of Chicago to travel through the streets of Chicago. Each year, the Chicago Marathon proudly invites the participants, volunteers and spectators to celebrate one of the world s largest marathons and one of the five World Marathon Majors. The Event starts and finishes in Grant Park and travels 26.2 miles through the downtown streets as well as neighborhoods north, west, and south of downtown. We are grateful to the many residents, organizations, churches, synagogues and businesses of your Ward who come out and inspire the runners from all fifty states and over 100 countries as they strive to achieve their personal goals. In order to prepare and alert the residents, organizations, churches and businesses of your Ward, we will be distributing a number of materials including Street Closure Brochures and Car Flyers. These materials are attached to this overview. We invite you and your residents to join us in celebrating the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon on Sunday, October 7, 2012.
