But we were able to catch up with the winner, Kelsi Tackett, and managed to get an interview. Tackett was happy to answer all questions we threw at her. Reporter: Did you believe you were going to win Homecoming Queen? Kelsi: No, I actually hoped that an underdog would win. Reporter: Which underdog were you in favor with? Kelsi: Any of them, it would have been nice to see someone other than the usual people win. Reporter: Were you excited to be crowned? Kelsi: Yes, plus I was excited to wear my cowboy boots! Reporter: Were you nervous to walk out there? Kelsi: Yeah, I REALLY didn t want to fall on my face! Reporter: What is the best advice that you would give to future candidates? Kelsi: Stay positive, keep a smile on your face, and let your bobcat pride shine! Reporter: Are you looking to be Prom Queen, too? Kelsi: I would like to be. I ll dance all night if I have to! Reporter: Are you excited to come back to crown next year s winner? Kelsi: Yeah, I m hoping that it will be my sister or my ball players so I can crown them. Reporter: What are your plans after High School? 3 Bobcat News 3 Nerdle Hello fellow nerds! Get settled in for this weeks poll. Regular Show or Adventure Time? Regular Show 25% Adventure Time 75% Unfortunately, the chosen voters picked Adventure Time over the Regular Show. Some didn't even know what the Regular Show was about. The Regular Show revolves around two friends, Mordecai (A Blue Jay) and Rigby (a Raccoon). They are groundskeepers at a park and their attempts at slacking always get them into shenanigans. Overall, they're lovable characters who will keep you laughing. Adventure Time has been a huge part of Cartoon Network for years. It has gave a fresh look at cartoons. Nothing can compare to its mythical feel and brightly lit world. As you watch, you soon realize that it's a one of a kind - completely original. The creator, Pendelton Ward, goes as far as to create his own slang and produce never before heard songs. All these factors conclude Adventure Time to be one of the best cartoons of its time. On Sunday, September 15th, 2013, our beloved English teacher, Mrs. Howell, got her middle and ring finger devoured by a push lawn mower. She was adjusting the guard on the mower deck and it ended up catching her two fingers. This happened about 2 pm Sunday. She spent until midnight at the hospital in pure shock. Since all of this happened, she has been hysterical and life has been hard for her now. New challenges she face are simple things like fixing her hair, typing, etc. She says "Now that this happened it has made me appreciate all the little things." Mrs. Howell's advice to anyone is - Don't put your hands or feet around the guard of a lawn mower.
