The Liberty volleyball team (15-5, 3-0 Big South) leads the Big South Conference standings after two weekends of league matches. The Lady Flames have won six straight matches, and nine out of their last 10 contests entering this week. Liberty opens a threematch homestand on Friday, as the Lady Flames take on Campbell (10-8, 2-1) at 7 p.m. The High Point Panthers (7-9, 1-2) then visit the Vines Center on Saturday at 2 p.m. Liberty is 14-3 all-time against Campbell, winning nine straight meetings. The Lady Flames hold a 28-9 advantage in the all-time series with High Point. How to Follow the Lady Flames Live stats will be available for each of Liberty s matches this weekend. Additionally, both Friday and Saturday s matches will be available for viewing through the Liberty Channel and online through the Big South Network and ESPN3.com. Ray Jones will serve as play-by-play announcer, while Erin Hagen will provide analysis. Starting Rotation 1. On Friday, with Liberty s 3-0 sweep at Gardner-Webb, 11th-year head coach Shane Pinder passed Chris Phillips into first place in program history with 199 career wins. He then became the fourth volleyball coach in Big South history to record 200 or more career wins, with a 3-1 win at UNC Asheville on Saturday. Pinder s career record is The Lady Flames lead the Big South at 3-0, the first time since 2011 that Liberty has started the conference slate with three straight wins. At 15-5, Liberty has tied its best 20-match start (1996, 2008) since joining the Big South in Redshirt junior Caroline Douglas was named the Big South Player of the Week, for the second week in a row, Monday. She leads the Big South with 4.29 kills per set, and her streak of five straight 20-kill matches ties the program s longest in rally-scoring history. 4. Junior setter Caila Stapleton paces all conference players with assists per set. Her 56 assists on Saturday at UNC Asheville were the most by a Liberty player in a fourset match since Jade Craycraft had 57 on Oct. 16, 2010 at UNC Asheville. 5. Senior Gabrielle Shipe collected her 1,500th career dig on Friday at Gardner-Webb. She is the sixth player in program history to reach 1,500 digs. 6. Freshman right-side attacker Hannah Weidner ranks fourth in the Big South with 3.44 kills per set. Last Friday at Gardner-Webb, he passed Chris Phillips ( , 99-03) into first place on Liberty s all-time volleyball coaching wins list. With a 3-1 win at UNC Asheville on Saturday, he became the fourth volleyball coach in Big South history with 200 or more career wins. Pinder earned his 100th victory on Nov. 7, 2009, in his 188th (100-88) career match. It took him only 156 matches to earn his next 100 victories (100-56). Douglas Named Big South Player of the Week, Back-to-Back Redshirt junior Caroline Douglas was named the Big South Player of the Week for the second week in a row on Monday. She is the first Lady Flame since Kallie Corbin in 2007 to have back-to-back Player of the Week awards. Douglas averaged 6.0 kills per set on the week, recording 21 kills each in wins at Gardner-Webb and UNC Asheville. She has posted 20+ kills in each of the last five matches, and has reached 20 kills seven times this season. Douglas has tied Jennifer Belk (2004) for the program s longest streak of 20-kill matches in the rally-scoring era. On a Roll Freshman Hannah Weidner, a two-time Big South Freshman of the Week, is ranked fourth in the Big South with 3.44 kills per set. Weidner has posted 14 straight 10-kill matches, and reached double figures in kills in 19 out of the Lady Flames first 20 matches. Her streak of 10-kill matches is Liberty s longest since Karyl Bacon opened the 2010 season with 14 straight double-digit kill matches. Weidner and Caroline Douglas have both reached double figures in each of Liberty s last 13 matches. Climbing the Charts Senior Gabrielle Shipe ranks seventh in the Big South with 4.51 digs per set. Last Friday, she became the sixth player in program history to reach 1,500 career digs. With 1,522 digs, she needs 46 more digs to pass Lara Bartolomeo ( ) into fifth place all-time at Liberty. Shipe started the season ranked 15th in program history. Blocking the Way Junior Jade Vorster has made an impact at the net for the Lady Flames, with 91 total blocks. She ranks third in the Big South with 1.17 blocks per set. Vorster has posted eight five-block matches, recording a season-high nine blocks on three occasions. Five additional Lady Flames - Hannah Weidner (5), Sirena Vorster (3), Caroline Douglas (2), Nzea McQuitery (2) and Anna Willey (1) all have at least one five-block match. Dig In The Lady Flames recorded 87 digs on Sept. 26 against Radford. Junior Caila Stapleton collected a career-high 25 digs, the most digs by a Liberty setter since Kallie Corbin had 25 on Sept. 15, 2007 versus Binghamton. Senior Gabrielle Shipe collected 24 digs, while Kate Corson totaled 11 digs and Rachel Smoltz recorded 10 digs. During its current six-match winning streak, Liberty is averaging digs per set. The Lady Flames average digs per set overall, good for second in the Big South. Dishing it Out Junior Caila Stapleton leads the Big South with assists per set. In conference play, she is averaging an astonishing assists per set. Her career-high 63 assists against Central Connecticut on Sept. 12 were the most by a Lady Flame since Courtney Boggs had 64 at UNC Asheville, Nov. 7, Stapleton has totaled 40 or more assists during each of Liberty s last six contests, all wins. It marks Liberty s longest streak of 40-assist matches since Kallie Corbin had 11 straight 40-assist contests from Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, 2007.

Liberty vs. High Point High Point (7-9, 1-2) picked up its first conference win on Saturday, sweeping Charleston Southern. The Panthers rank second in the Big South with 1.35 service aces per set. Senior duo Kristin Heldt (3.13 kills per set) and Chelsea Davis (3.00) lead the Panthers offense, ranking ninth and 10th in the conference, respectively. Gabi Mirand ranks second in the Big South with assists per set, while Wavie Chin s 4.52 digs per set rank sixth. Jason Oliver, in his sixth season at High Point, has a career record. He led the Panthers to the 2010 Big South championship, and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Home Cooking Recently, Liberty has held a significant home-court advantage at the Vines Center. The Lady Flames are 21-4 (.840) in their last 25 home matches and 43-7 (.860) in their last 50 home contests. Liberty is (.750) at home under 11th-year head coach Shane Pinder.
