6 FIRST GRADE MATCH #PS4NPLNSW frustrating 4-2 defeat at the hands of Manly United A FC last round consigned Danial Cummins side to their second loss of the season. It doesn t get any easier in Round 10 as APIA Leichhardt FC host top of the table side Blacktown City FC. Nothing less than a 90 minute performance will be enough for APIA to overcome a high flying Blacktown team which remain the only undefeated team in the competition. Matthew West has provided APIA with plenty of firepower off the bench with three goals in his past four games. Combined with young striker Jordan Murray and Tatsuku Sekiya. With the home crowd support behind them, APIA will be out to show why they shouldn t be written off as a premiership contender. 7 NPLNSW.COM.AU ROUND 20 Manly United FC 4 - APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 2 at Cromer Park Manly United recovered from a two-goal deficit in the first half to beat APIA Leichhardt Tigers 4-2 during their PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men s clash at Cromer Park on Saturday night. A double to Scott Balderson, as well as goals to Nikola Taneski and Sasa Macura was enough for the home side to upset a talented APIA outfit. Tasuku Sekiya and Josh Symons found the back of the net for the visitors but it just wasn t night. Rockdale City Suns FC 0 - Blacktown City FC 4 at Ilinden Sports Centre Blacktown City has claimed top spot on the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men s competition ladder with an emphatic four goal domination of Rockdale City Suns at Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday. An early goal to Joey Gibbs was followed by a Mitchell Mallia strike on the cusp of halftime, before Gibbs scored his second and pacey winger James Andrew wrapped up the result when he hit the back of the net in the 89th minute. The win means Blacktown is now the only undefeated side in the competition with Sunday s defeat the first of Rockdale s season. It was a difficult day for the home side who were unable to hit their usual high standards during the 90 minutes. 7

15 NPLNSW.COM.AU MATCH UNDER 20s 4-3 loss to Manly United stopped an impressive run A of form for APIA Leichhardt last weekend who prior to the defeat had netted 21 goals in their previous five matches to charge into a finals position. They ll face another tough test of their credentials on Sunday when second-paced Blacktown City arrive at Lambert Park. Although John Carnevale s side will lament their failure to capitalize on Sutherland s draw with Sydney in round nine, City have been motoring along impressively in recent weeks but are still yet to play to their maximum potential this season. That could be an ominous sign for APIA Leichhardt, who will need to tighten up at the back for the visit of Blacktown having conceded seven in their last two.
