In what promises to be an enticing Saturday evening clash on the Northern Beaches, both mid-table teams will be desperate to secure three points. Warren Grieve s Manly United squad need to bounce back following their 2-1 defeat last start versus Sydney United 58 FC. Hakoah continue to impress, holding Sydney Olympic FC to a 0-0 draw last weekend. They also beat Manly in the Westfield FFA Cup fifth round on penalties back on Anzac Day. Jamie Lobb is United s player to watch tonight. The defender and captain rarely has a bad game, and has started 2017 in vintage form. Also look for Scott Balderson to have a big 90 minutes for the hosts. He tends to be a standout at Cromer Park in big games, and has been United s best player going forward this season. English import Joseph Fox is proving to be a fan favourite on the peninsula, and his combination with Sasa Macura in the middle of the park is improving each round. United started the season on fire but have cooled in recent weeks and will need to return to their early season form to ensure they are still playing come September. City, Sydney Olympic FC, Sydney United 58 and Sydney FC. Manly will need to be at their best if they are going to come away from this match with all three points. The Northern Beaches side came tumbling back down to earth with a 2-1 loss away to Sydney United 58 but at Cromer Park, Manly United know that it is here where they will need to recommence their fruitful form seen at the start of the season. Their challenge this week is Hakoah Sydney City East who have forged a reputation as the competition s disruptors. The Reds broke the deadlock on the cusp of half time via a deflected free kick from Nikas and doubled their advantage 43 seconds into the second half when Matt Sim fired a rocket past Dylan Mitchell to set up an unassailable 2-0 lead Leigh Egger netted a consolation deep into injury time after heading home Sam Wilson s corner as United 58 conceded for the first time in 450 minutes of football. However, Egger s goal wasn t enough to halt a seventh straight win in all competitions for Mark Rudan s men. Hakoah Sydney City East FC 0 - Sydney Olympic FC 0 at Hensley Athletic Field Hakoah Sydney City East FC and Sydney Olympic FC have shared the spoils in a hardfought clash at Hensley Athletic field. It is the third straight game without defeat for Hakoah who move up to seventh position on the ladder only three points outside the top five. Olympic cling onto fifth place on 18 points but will need much improved results in coming weeks to secure their spot in the finals. 6

Reigning premiers Manly were soundly defeated 3-1 by second-placed Sydney United 58 in Sunday s Match of the Round and with three losses in their last four the Cromer Park outfit find themselves slipping down the table. Hakoah Sydney City East are also at risk of losing touch with the top five with they fall to a second consecutive loss with Paul Hubbard s side in seventh position. The visitors have still produced some canny performances throughout the year and will fancy their chances at leaving the Northern Beaches with a crucial victory. 11
