Manly United return to play in front of their loyal fans - and they will be hoping for one way traffic across 90 minutes. Wollongong Wolves make their way to the Northern Beaches tonight, following an impressive 1-1 draw versus APIA Leichhardt Tigers last start. Travis Oughtred is the player to watch for Manly United. The defender has hit a purple patch in recent weeks, and he will be feeling confident after helping his team keep a clean sheet last weekend against Sutherland. For the visitors, Justin Pasfield will be fired up for a big game. 5 NPLNSW.COM.AU 1ST GRADE MATCH PREVIEW The slim finals hopes of Manly United FC and Wollongong Wolves FC go on the line this Saturday as the two sides face off at Cromer Park. Sitting in sixth and eighth spot respectively, Manly and Wolves both need wins if they are going to make a surprise appearance in this season s finals series. Manly scraped trough an incredible last gasp win in Round 19 as Sam Wilson netted in the dying stages to help his team to a 1-0 win on the road against Sutherland Sharks. Wollongong also claimed a big result as they took a point away from their match with league leaders APIA Leichhardt Tigers. Manly has sailed under the radar this season and has failed to reach the heights of last season s Championship winning team. The return of coach Paul Dee has failed to inspire the players to new heights as they suffered somewhat of a Grand Final win hangover. Veteran striker Dylan Macallister could be the man to carry them to glory against the Wolves as the former A-League player certainly knows his way to goal. Wollongong looked to make a big splash this campaign with a number of big name veteran signings. However, it has not worked as the South Coast club would ve planned and they are in an uphill battle to make the finals. 6 MATCH REVIEWS #NPLNSW Sutherland Sharks 0 Manly United 1 at Seymour Shaw Super sub Sam Wilson was the hero firing home the winner for Manly United in a tense 1-0 victory against Sutherland Sharks at Seymour Shaw on Saturday night. United scooped all three points after Wilson s incredible 89th minute winner which broke the hearts of Sutherland fans as the game looked destined for a draw. The Sharks struggled to find their rhythm against a robust Manly side with their key playmakers unable to find the quality which could ve been the difference The result has kept Manly s finals hopes alive with three rounds to go while Sutherland s chances, although still mathematically possible, are all but over. Wollongong Wolves FC 1 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 1 at WIN Stadium APIA Leichhardt Tigers have extended their unbeaten streak to five matches after scoring late in stoppage timeto secure a point in a 1-1 draw against Wollongong Wolves at Win Stadium on Saturday night. The visitors went a goal down after just two minutes when Wolves striker Peter Simonoski headed home to give Wollongong an early lead. But a 93rd minute equalizer from the head of Tigers player Sean Symons rescued a point for the visitors, extending their stay at the top of the NPL NSW ladder for at least another round. 6

United sit level with Wollongong and Hakoah on 28 points and lead the trio on goal difference, making this weekend s match a crucial encounter for both sides. A draw at Cromer Park would do little for either side with several teams below them ready to jump on dropped points, and tricky run-ins for both beyond this game. Wollongong travel to Cromer Park eager to bounce back after last week s disappointing 3-2 defeat to APIA Leichhardt Tigers; the Wolves fourth consecutive match without a win. Needless to say, three points against fellow finals contenders Manly would go a long way towards making up for the loss to the Tigers.
