5 NPLNSW.COM.AU MATCH FIRST GRADE Bonnyrigg White Eagles will set out to add more misery to Manly United FC s recent run of poor form when they host the Warren Grieve coached side on Saturday. Bonnyrigg will be out to bounce back from their 4-1 loss to Sydney Olympic and get their season back on track. The Brian Brown coached side started to find their groove at the start of the month but have once again lost their way in recent weeks. A struggling Manly United could be the perfect opposition for the competition s sleeping giants. For Manly, a loss could put their finals aspirations out of range. 6 FIRST GRADE REVIEWS #PS4NPLNSW Sydney Olympic FC 4 - Bonnyrigg White Eagles FC 1 at Belmore Sports Ground Sydney Olympic has claimed a 4-1 win against Bonnyrigg White Eagles during their PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men s Heritage Round clash at Belmore Sports Ground. Two late goals to Radovan Pavicevic and Jason Madonis in added time wrapped up the three points for Olympic after the match was evenly balanced at 2-1 going into the final seconds of the game. Madonis had earlier opened the scoring before Olympic doubled its lead when Yu Kuboki struck with 25 minutes left to play. A goal from Bonnyrigg defender Sam Gallaway brought Brian Brown s team back into the match heading into the match s final stages. However, Bonnyrigg were unable to deliver during the final ten minutes of the match as Olympic struck twice to secure all three competition points. The win cements Olympic s position in the top five while Bonnyrigg s resurgence faces yet another speed bump. Manly United FC 1 - Sutherland Sharks 2 at Cromer Park It was the same old story for Manly United on Sunday afternoon in their 2-1 PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues NSW Men s defeat against Sutherland at Cromer Park. Celebrating Heritage Round, the hosts were keen to put on a show, but once again poor finishing was their achilles heel. A Brendan Cholakian goal had the home side in front after 25 minutes, but it was a lead which wouldn t last. Sutherland struck midway through the second half scoring twice in eight minutes courtesy of strikes from Tomohiro Kajiyama and Nathan Elasi. A last ditch fightback from Manly wasn t enough as Grant Lee s Sutherland side collected all three points. 6

11 NPLNSW.COM.AU MATCH UNDER 20 S Bonnyrigg secured their second win of the season against Sydney Olympic last weekend to lift themselves off the bottom of the competition ladder and have a chance to breathe further life into their campaign when they host Manly United at Bonnyrigg Sports Club on Saturday evening. Hamish Brown s outfit triumphed 1-0 over the reigning champions in what was the side s first win and clean sheet since round three and while the visitors were far too classy for the White Eagles in their second-round 4-0 drubbing there are indications that the tables are starting to turn. It s been a hugely inconsistent for Manly so far, who have won back to back games only once (in rounds two and three) and have been uncharacteristically poor at the back in conceding 26 goals, including another three in a 3-1 loss to leaders Sutherland in round 12. In fact, only Bonnyrigg have a worse defensive record (37 conceded) than the Cromer Park outfit who find themselves at risk of failing to make the finals should their rocky form continue. However, United have no trouble finding the back of the net having maintained the third best offensive record with leading goal scorer Sheldon Tweedie enjoying a fine campaign to date with six.
