The Flyers picked up victories last week at VCU and Davidson to extend their winning streak to nine. Junior Jessica Sloan averages a team-best 3.73 kills/ set (3rd A-10) and 0.40 aces/set (2nd A-10) while sophomore Margo Wolf leads the team with 4.92 digs/set (2nd A-10). UD s middle-blocker duo of junior Amber Erhahon and sophomore Kendyll Brown are tough on both offense and defense. Brown leads the A-10 with a.442 hitting percentage (7th NCAA) and averages 1.06 blocks/set (7th A-10) while Erhahon hits at.425 (2nd A-10, 9th NCAA) and gets 1.01 blocks/set (9th A-10). SCOUTING LA SALLE La Salle (10-13, 1-6 A-10) opened 2016 with a six-match winning streak but hit a snag at the start of Atlantic 10 Conference play, dropping its first six league contests. The Explorers have recorded wins in their last two outings, a 3-2 win at home against Fordham and a 3-0 win at Delaware State on Tuesday. Devon Corah leads La Salle with 3.15 kills/set (5th A-10) and 0.38 aces/set (5th A-10) while Jensen Sharrits leads the league with 5.18 digs/set. SERIES STUFF In a series that dates back to 1992, Dayton has never lost to La Salle. The Flyers hold a 36-0 advantage over the Explorers and UD has not even lost a set to LAS since Oct. 7, RPI RANKINGS In the NCAA s most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) posted Tuesday, Oct. 18, Dayton came in at 34 according to NCAA.com. La Salle is ranked 251st. FLYER FACTS Tim Horsmon is in his eighth season overall, and third since 2007, as head coach of the Flyers in His record at Dayton is and his career win-loss mark sits at in 18 seasons as a head coach. Horsmon is the program s secondwinningest coach behind only R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins Over the last eight seasons ( ), the Flyers have recorded a 99-9 (.920) mark in Atlantic 10 Conference play, including a perfect 14-0 mark in 2015 and 2012 and a 15-0 record in UD suffered only one conference loss in 2014, 2011 and Dayton has won the Atlantic 10 Regular Season title 12 times (2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2001, 1998). The Flyers have won the A-10 Championship title a league-record 10 times (2015, 2014, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, 2007, 2005, 2004, 2003) and made their 11th NCAA appearance in program history in Dayton currently ranks in the top 10 nationally in three categories: first in match win-loss percentage (.952), fourth in assists/set (13.65) and sixth in kills/ set (14.50). Individually, sophomore Kendyll Brown ranks seventh in the NCAA with a.442 hitting percentage and right behind her is junior Amber Erhahon is in ninth with a.425 percentage. The Flyers finished the 2015 season with a 27-6 overall record and a 14-0 Atlantic 10 mark, finishing in first place in regular-season league play was the program s 37th winning season. LAST TIME OUT Despite a not-so-stellar hitting performance, Dayton was able to claim a 3-0 win at Davidson Sunday afternoon in North Carolina. Only one player in the entire match tallied double-digit kills: Dayton sophomore Kendyll Brown. Brown scored the rest of her 13.5 points with a service ace and five assisted blocks. Junior Jane Emmenecker set 31 assists while sophomore Margo Wolf passed 13 digs for the Flyers.

3 SHE S AT THE TOP Junior Amber Erhahon has a very efficient swing, currently ranking ninth in all of NCAA DI with a.425 hitting percentage this season. For her career, Erhahon s.401 hitting percentage ( ) ranks number one all-time in the Flyers record book and ranks sixth nationally among active career leaders. MOVING UP THE RANKS Junior Jane Emmenecker recently moved into fourth place all-time among Dayton s setters with 3,292 career assists. The two-time Atlantic 10 Setter of the Year is looking to move up the ranks this season and is now 322 assists behind former Flyer and 2006 A-10 Setter of the Year Erin Schroeder who currently ranks third (3,614) in the career assists column. HIT ME ONE MORE TIME Dayton s front court has two very formidable middle blockers in junior Amber Erhahon (1.01 blocks/set, 9th A-10) and sophomore Kendyll Brown (1.04 blocks/set, 7th A-10). What is unique about this duo of blockers is that they are both very accurate on the attack as well. Brown hits at a league-best.442 which ranks seventh nationally while Erhahon swings at.425 (2nd A-10, 9th NCAA). 200 AND COUNTING Dayton head coach Tim Horsmon currently has 205 wins at the helm of the Flyer program between his two stints (eight total seasons). Horsmon collected 128 wins between 2003 and 2007 and has 77 wins over 2014, 2015 and He is the second-winningest Dayton coach, behind UD s first head coach R. Elaine Dreidame who amassed 310 wins ( ). 13TH TO 1,000 With two wins at the 2014 Bowling Green Hampton Inn Invitational, Dayton surpassed the 1,000- win mark as a program and is just the 13th NCAA DI team to attain that level of success. The Flyers currently rank 13th all-time in the Division I record book with an overall program tally of 1, (.656) over 47 seasons (1970). HAUSFELD COURT Former Flyer Kacie Hausfeld passed away tragically in an airplane crash during her time as a Dayton Flyer. In her memory, her family made a substantial contribution to the Dayton volleyball program. That donation enabled the program to renovate Frericks Center, adding a new public address and sound system, new seating on the event level, new scoreboards and video boards and the playing surface was named Hausfeld Court among many other improvements to the facility. BROWN S EARNS FIRST-CAREER A-10 WEEKLY AWARD Sophomore middle blocker Kendyll Brown earned her first weekly award from the conference office Oct. 10 after being named the A-10 Co-Defensive Player of the Week. Brown averaged 2.86 kills per set and 1.86 blocks per set over two wins for Dayton the previous weekend. The middle blocker from Mechanicsville, Va., tallied eight kills and recorded a career-high nine blocks, two solo and seven assisted, in a 3-1 win at Rhode Island Friday night. On Saturday, Brown led the Flyers with a career-high 12 kills to zero errors in 14 attempts to hit at.857 while also recording four blocks in Dayton s sweep at Fordham. For the weekend, she hit for.704 and averaged 3.93 points/set for UD. PETERSON PICKS UP THIRD WEEKLY HONOR For the third time in as many weeks, Dayton freshman Jamie Peterson was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, Sept. 26. She led the Flyers to a 2-0 opening weekend in conference play, posting back-to-back double-digit kill matches. For the week, Peterson hit at.480 while averaging 3.62 kills per set, scoring 3.94 points per set. UD PICKED FIRST IN 2016 A-10 PRESEASON POLL Dayton has been chosen to finish in first place in the Atlantic 10 for The Flyers, winners of six of the last seven A-10 titles, tallied 83 points in voting among the league s head coaches (including six of 10 first-place votes).
