How will this help me? If you are new or returning to exercise, walking not only offers the opportunity to improve your fitness at a pace that suits you, but also provides people with the opportunity to meet others in friendly groups. Health and Safety Walking is a low risk activity however the most likely risks you will encounter are from: Traffic/Cyclists, Slips and trips on uneven and slippery paths and steps, Overhanging vegetation, nimals, Water. full risk assessment is available upon request. y participating in our activities you accept full responsibility for your own health and safety. Walks are open to all ages and abilities children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult, such as a parent, guardian, teacher or youth worker. Persons who require additional support must be accompanied by a family member, support worker or friend. Key to Grading of Walks Level : Shorter Walk. etween minutes in length. Suitable for inexperienced walkers, slow pace on even ground. Level : Moderate/Hard Walk. Up to 90 minutes in length. Sometimes sizeable ascents and descents. Suitable for regular walkers. Level C: Progression Walk: Demanding longer walk. For experienced walkers seeking a greater challenge. Fast pace. Off road. Up to 2 hours in length and terrain to include slopes, steps, stiles and uneven surfaces (Progression walks are not part of the Walking for Health programme).

16 Positive Steps Walks for all ages throughout Southern Staffordshire On occasions walks may be cancelled or meeting times changed due to unforeseen circumstances. We will endeavour to contact walkers where possible in these circumstances but if we are not able to contact you we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. New walkers are advised to contact us prior to attending. During the winter months when weather could make conditions unsafe please ring on the day of the walk to confirm that the walk is going ahead. Or visit: Please wear sensible footwear and clothing appropriate for the location of the walk and weather conditions. Please arrive minutes before the start of the walk, so that the walk can commence on time. In the event of a walk taking place in the absence of an ge UK Staffordshire qualified walk leader and any walks that are not published in this programme, ge UK Staffordshire will accept no responsibility for any issues or incidents arising on that walk. You are advised that this walk will not be covered by ge UK Staffordshire insurance. Christmas events/meals are not part of the formal walk programme. For updates about ge UK Staffordshire visit
