6 TODAY'S WEBINAR PRESENTERS Sara Zimmerman, SRTS National Partnership Sara is the Program and Policy Director for the Safe Routes to School National Partnership, supporting communities in their work to increase transportation equity, physical activity, and safe walking and bicycling for children and adults. Sara oversees the work of the Program & Policy team, including the consulting department and technical assistance team, ensuring that high quality assistance, reports, and resources are available for communities across the country as they work to develop active and equitable transportation systems. Previously, Sara worked as a senior staff attorney and program director for ChangeLab Solutions, a national legal and policy nonprofit focused on healthy communities.

7 TODAY'S WEBINAR PRESENTERS Katie Alexander, Michigan Fitness Foundation Katie is the Director for the Safe Routes to School program at the Michigan Fitness Foundation. As the Director, Katie works with her team to administer the Safe Routes program in Michigan and help communities apply for grant funding. Katie holds a Masters in Urban Planning from Wayne State University and received her Bachelors of Science degree from Central Michigan University. Prior to working with the Michigan Fitness Foundation, Katie worked at the Ferndale Area Chamber of Commerce as the Programs Manager.

8 TODAY'S WEBINAR PRESENTERS Bryan Armstrong, Michigan DOT Bryan became the Safe Routes to School Program Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) in Bryan joined MDOT in 1999 as Program Coordinator for the Transportation Enhancement Program. Previously, Bryan worked for the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality ( ) and both the Washtenaw County Environmental Health Bureau and Office of Drain Commissioner ( ). Bryan received both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Urban Planning from Eastern Michigan University. He also has a Masters Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University.

9 TODAY'S WEBINAR PRESENTERS Katherine Swidarski, Columbus Public Health Katie is the Program Manager for the Safe Routes to School program at Columbus Public Health. She has been working with local SRTS programs for nearly a decade. She is known in Columbus as Safety Swid and will soon complete her PhD in Safe Routes to School at The Ohio State University. Swidarski has served as a member of the Pedestrian and Schools Safety sub-committees as part of San Francisco s Vision Zero initiative and is current co-chair of the Health & Safety Committee for the South Linden Area Commission. Swid considers herself a professional pedestrian and enjoys the adventure of being living car-free in central Ohio.
