2 WHY WE MARCH The Department of Justice and the current Administration are undermining Dr. King's Dream. We are marching to reaffirm that religious leaders will recommit to being at the forefront of social justice and civil rights. As Dr. King marched for 54 years ago, we are still marching for: Voting Rights Healthcare Criminal Justice Reform Economic Justice Register:

3 National Action Network chaired and sponsored the 50th Anniversary of the March On Washington in 2013 in Washington, DC At the beginning of the march, while standing in front of Dr. King s monument, religious leaders will participate in a prayer vigil and commitment ceremony. We are asking religious leaders from all faiths to commit to raising up messages centered on the Social Justice agenda, and participate in the grassroots efforts to hold Attorney General Sessions accountable for all peoples' Civil Rights. Additionally, NAN will outline an agenda to achieve over the next few years. National Action Network will provide litanies, sermons and appeals with faithbased messages to be delivered during the months of July and August in order to prepare faith leaders and their communities for the March.

8 FAQ Q: Can we bring flags and banners? A: Flags are allowed, but not on a pole. Posters and signs are allowed, but not with the use of wooden sign posts. Instead, we encourage people to use cardboard sign posts. Q: What should I wear? A: We encourage men and women of faith to wear religious attire (i.e a collar or robe) that has a special significance to their faith community. Please plan accordingly and dress for the weather. Especially if the temperatures are higher than normal, standing outside for hours at a time may impact you. ACCESSIBILITY Q: Can we bring folding chairs so we can take rests, and canes to walk with? A: If you need the assistance of a cane please bring it. Folding chairs are not permitted. If there are specific medical needs that you cannot have met with regular accommodation, please Ebonie Riley at eriley@nationalactionnetwork.net Q: Will there be a modified route for people with disabilities or limited mobility. A: There will not be a modified route for the march due to permit restrictions. We understand that some people may not be able to march the whole route and there will be Metro exits at various locations throughout the route. We ask that people assess their own ability to march and make the needed arrangements to participate.

9 FAQ LEGAL Q: What if I get arrested? A: Please note that we are working with local and federal law enforcement and do not intend to engage in any civil disobedience. We expect all marchers to abide by all laws and any instruction of law enforcement. Finally, we are planning a peaceful demonstration and are training marshals in de-escalation tactics and ask that all marchers remain peaceful.
