1 Team Captain: Department: 2015 Fall Festival Torch Run Informational Packet Leg 1 Chief Inspector Dennis Wilson Philadelphia Police Department When: Friday, November 6, 2015 Where: Torch Exchange: Reporting Time: Approximant Start Time: Approximant End Time: Philadelphia Art Museum Approx. 3 Miles Belmont Plateau 12:30 p.m. 1:00 p.m. 1:35 p.m. Please note that all legs of the race are based on a 10 minute mile or longer (runners should make a strong attempt to stay at the same pace). We require that all members of the running team report at the posted time to ensure that runners are in position once the torch arrives. Restroom: Philadelphia Art Museum Torch Run Attire: Running shoes Running shorts or pants whatever you feel most comfortable in LETR Shirt or if your department created LETR shirts, please wear that. What to Bring: Running shoes Extra clothing for after the run (if needed) Hats, rain gear This event is rain or shine. Please dress for the weather! You may bring an ipod, MP3 Player... What will SOPA Provide? Water After run reception with food (at the end of Leg 5) Medical Personal and First Aid Kit

2 A return ride back to your vehicle Torch Run t-shirt Leg 1 - Parking Information Parking Garage Museum visitors: $10 for the first 4 hours, $2 for each additional hour. Museum members: first hour FREE, $6 for the next 4 hours, $2 for each additional hour. Parking ticket must be validated inside the Museum to receive these rates. Rates only apply during Museum hours. Member card must be shown at time of validation. The parking garage is located on the West side of the main Museum building. You may access the lot via Art Museum Drive or Waterworks Drive. Upper Terrace Designated accessible parking for vehicles with the appropriate disability permits are available on the Upper Terrace of the Museum. These spaces are limited and based on availability. Museum members: $6 flat rate Museum visitors: $10 (cash only, pay upon entry) Eakins Oval Tuesday through Sunday, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm $10.00 flat rate (cash only, pay upon entry) Hours and prices subject to change

Please contact your team captain. If you are unable to reach your team captain, please contact Demika Poole, May family members attend to cheer me or run? Yes, you may bring members of your family who wish to run alongside of you or meet you at your staring or end point! Can anyone other than a Law Enforcement member hold the Torch? We ask that the only person holding the Torch is a Law Enforcement member or Special Olympic Athlete. May I run the last leg with the Torch as it enters Villanova University? Yes! We would love for you to join the last leg of the Torch Run as we enter the Fall Game Ceremonies. If this is something you wish to be involved in, please contact Demika Poole, or dpoole@specialolympicspa.org If I m joining the last leg of the Torch Run where should I meet? First, please let Eric know that you will be joining the last leg of the run. The last leg (Leg 5) will begin at Rosemont College to Villanova University (approx 1.8 miles). I don t wish to run the last leg but I would like to be involved with Opening Ceremonies. How can I help? Wonderful! Please contact Demika Poole, or dpoole@specialolympicspa.org How will I get back to my vehicle? A shuttle van to transport all runners back to their starting location will be on hand. What happens if I can t complete my leg? If at any point during your leg, your or anyone on your team needs to stop, please let us know! Vehicles will be following along to provide relief for anyone needing a rest. Medical attention will also be available if needed. Your health is number one!
