4 About Wodson Park FC In June 2012 the two Wodson Park Football clubs (Senior and Youth) amalgamated to create today s club. The joining together of these two much respected clubs means that we can now provide a clear player pathway within our club. We aim to provide local children both boys and girls with the opportunity to take part in football that is fun, progressive and run in a controlled safe environment. Our senior players also follow a player pathway which means that we able to progress players through the senior system into a very high standard of football. We have great facilities at our two sites, Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre and Crouchfields. Our senior section was founded in 1997 by John Murphy, with sides playing out of Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre in Ware. The teams progressed through leagues and divisions and in 2009 the club agreed a deal for the 1st team to ground share with their neighbours Ware FC on promotion to the first division of the Spartan South Midland Football League. For the start of the season the club undertook wholesale changes with the management and players of the first and reserve sides. In came Simon Riddle, David Stingemore and Deane Niner to look after the first team and Neil Kimsey and Tony Robinson for the reserves. With a new very much hands on chairman Lee Cook the new look senior section of the club now has direction and an air of calmness that has already filtered down to our new crop of young and talented players. For the season we moved back to our roots at Wodson Park Sports and Leisure Centre following the decision by Ware FC to terminate our ground share agreement to follow other interests! An enormous amount of work was done to ensure that we continue to play in the SSMFL and at step 6. The management and trustees of Wodson Park continued to be of great help and support along with the SSMFL who gave us valuable advice and direction at a difficult time for the club for which we were most grateful. Our season started very sluggishly and in August 2014 Simon Riddle stood down as first team manager by mutual consent. Kristian Munt returned to the club for his second stint as first team manager. In his first term Kristian took Wodson Park from the Herts Senior County League into Division two of the SSMFL and then won promotion to the first division. Kris was instrumental in the merging of the two Wodson clubs before moving on to our neighbours Ware FC. Do you need a lawyer? Did you know you can go directly to a barrister, without using a solicitor? More often than not this normally work out significantly cheaper. We have barristers specialising in all areas of the law, who will accept instructions directly from members of the public and small businesses. Examples include: Contract disputes; Disputes with neighbours; Employment law advice or representation; Divorce, residence, or contact; Personal injury claims; Housing disputes; Motoring cases such as speeding etc; Wills and probate; Arguments over money on divorce or separation and much more. Testimonials We contacted Barristers direct for advice on an employment matter and couldn't believe the quality of service and value for money. Highly recommended. I got caught by one too many speed cameras and searched the internet for a lawyer. Barristers Direct represented me for a fixed fee and gave my case 100%. Would definitely use the service again. Sponsor and Printer of our match day programme About Wodson Park FC The season was one of rebuilding and reshaping in readiness for the term. There was a lot of tinkering with player positions and availability didn t always allow us to field our best sides. We set ourselves a mid-table finish and managed to achieve this by the end of the season. At the same time, it was disappointing that we had to withdraw our reserve team with just a month to go to the end of the season. This was a decision that we thought long and hard about before realising it was what was needed to move forward. Our season was one in which our hard work begun to show. The regime head coach Rob Lloyd introduces paid dividends and we were pleased to finish in 6 th position which was within our aims for the season. It was pleasing to see young players coming through and breaking into the first team. During the close season we finally saw the completion of our spectator stand and our official G Ground Grade. For the current season we are ready with a squad containing 26 players from last term along with all our coaching personnel too. We have set targets and now it s time to achieve them. Below our senior teams is a thriving youth section that is very much community based with a reputation for putting players first. We have a development squad for 5 and 6 year olds and then teams from U8 through to U17 playing in the Mid Herts Rural Minors League. We are working towards integrating the older youth teams in to the senior setup to give us a natural player pathway to senior football. Moving away from football the club also has a thriving netball section with over 100 players playing in local leagues. Good luck to you all in the season ahead and have a safe journey home. After a tough season the team finished 14th out of 20 teams in the League and were losing finalists to Kings Langley in the Div 1 League Cup. Overall a very satisfying season and a sound foundation for 2014/15 in which a much improved season saw the team finish 5th out of 20 teams. Lloyd Latchford s connection with Risborough Rangers goes back over 12 years with Risborough s General Secretary Nick Bishop, being an Account Director & Shareholder of the sponsors. Despite approach s from elsewhere at the time for Lloyd Latchford to provide sponsorship, it was thought best to put some funding back into the local community with a local organisation, hence the arrangement commenced and continues today. Having sponsored the club for over 12 seasons now, we have seen success and considerable progress achieved, both on and off the pitch, which we all hope is maintained and continued for the foreseeable future.

13 About Risborough Rangers FC SSMFL Division 1 Clubs Badges Risborough Rangers Football Club started in 1971 as a team of 12 year olds who wanted to play competitive football. The main motivators were Life Presidents Tony Elsey and Derrick Wallace, who is still active within the club as President and a committee member. From this grew the Wycombe Star League that now provides football for hundreds of youngsters in the Wycombe area, and Risborough Rangers currently have teams at all ages ranging from Under 10 to Under 16 playing in this league. In the 1975/76 season, the previous years Under 16's went into the Wycombe League as a men's team, and in their second season in adult football won the 3rd Division. Unfortunately, the team then folded, after which the club provided only boy's football until the U16's of 1979/80, having won the United-Carr Cup, went into the Reading Youth League for two seasons, and then the Wycombe League. They won promotion in successive seasons, and were followed two years later by the following years U16's as a reserve team, who emulated the feats of their predecessor, ending up in the Ercol Senior League and the FA Walters Premier League consecutively. During this period the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup was won. In 1989 Risborough accepted an invitation to join the South Midlands League Division 1. In the first two seasons it was hard and the club finished second from the bottom on both occasions, so therefore had to apply for re-election. The 1991/92 season saw a great improvement when Risborough finished in 8th position whilst also celebrating its 21st anniversary. In the 1994/95 season, they were promoted to the newly formed Senior Division, after finishing 4th and they consolidated with a mid-table position in the next season. The next two seasons under the management of Bob Rayner and goalkeeper Jon Franklin saw the establishment of a sound Youth policy with an under 18's team in the Wycombe Sunday Youth League in addition to the first team and reserves in the recently formed Spartan South Midlands League. Both seasons saw a mid table position but in the 00/01 season they did reach the semi-final of the Senior Division Cup and the quarterfinal of the Berks and Bucks Senior Cup. When Bob Rayner left to manage Brackley Town in the Dr Marten s Southern Division at the start of the 98/99 season, Jon Franklin became manager and in 00/01 Steve Pearce became club coach. This resulted in a sound management team and in 01/02 the team finished in 10th in the league which was the highest position in the last few years. Jon and Steve left the club at the end of the season to manage Winslow United in Division 2. In addition the link with Aylesbury United youth players was terminated and several other first team players moved to other clubs. David Ross was appointed manager for 02/03 but with a young squad of mainly local players we lacked the depth of experience and the team was relegated to Division 2. In 03/04 the club were delighted to welcome back Bob Rayner as Manager and after a short spell with Richard Gregory, he was joined by Doug Foster. After an enjoyable season the team finished 4th and lost in the semi-final of the League Cup. Season 04/05 was an exact repeat of the previous one with a defeat against League winners Crawley Green in our final game the difference between 2nd and 4th position in the league. Between 06/07 and 10/11 seasons the team finished mid-table but finished 2nd in 11/12. Also losing finalists in the Div 2 League Cup to Aston Clinton.
