Since then, Hope Powell s team have suffered a -0 defeat to WSL side Bristol City in the WSL Continental Tyres Cup, seeing them knocked out of the competition after a record of two wins and two defeats. Despite disappointment in the Cup, the Seagulls will have confidence coming into the new year, as they recorded a 4- victory when they last visited Cheshunt, and are currently level on points with second place Durham. However, they will be wary of the fact that a defeat by more than one goal will see Spurs leapfrog them in a closely contested WSL2 table.
