Please get your form filled out and back to the post as soon as you can. The nominating committee has formed and they will give their report April 4 th at our regular General meeting. At this time we will also take nominations from the floor. Remember that this is your Post and participation by the members is needed to make things run smooth. Elections will take place on May 2 nd from 12pm to. Please purchase your raffle tickets for the Cruise Drawing and Party. This is the biggest fundraiser for our Post to help us during the off season. We need to meet our goals so that we can continue our Legion programs. Let s achieve our 100% membership goal. We are currently at 93.2%. 8 Auxiliary Message Our year is winding down and I must say it was a good year. We accomplished a lot this year in our dedication to Veterans and Children & Youth. I am happy to say we are sending 3 Delegates to Girl's State this year and we have 2 alternates. There will be a Memorial Service for Betty Williams, Late wife of Lawrence Williams of the Fleet Reserve Association and member of American Legion Post 142. The Services will be held on Saturday, April 13 at 4pm at American Legion Post 142 in Pompano Beach. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Betty s favorite charity will be honored. Make checks payable to Lawrence Williams. In memo line put Betty s favorite charities Please RSVP to Larry at May will be "Poppy Month" monies donated for this project goes to our Veterans, this year all proceeds will be given to Sandy Nininger Nursing Home. The Unit Chairmen are busy working on end of the year reports if you help a veteran or contribute to any Veterans organizations let one of the officers know so it can be reported and the Unit can get credit for it. 9th District Officers will be visiting the Unit on April 4 for Initiation of new members for this year and anyone who has never been officially initiated. Please try to attend this very impressive ceremony and help welcome the District officers. Remember election of officers for will be held on May 2, at 7: 00 PM. Hope to see some new faces there.
