Enjoying the good food and the great calling by Mike Hogan were David & Merrie Ann Franks, Earlean Wagner, Alex Hernandez, Andy & Lorie Abeles, Valerie & Mike Perkins and jackie Brown. Then the following week, Twirlers travelled to Yucaipa and danced to Hunter Keller.Class members Jan & Jerry Guffey were there accompanied by Randy & Sue Gibson, David & Merrie Ann Franks, Valerie & Mike Perkins, Earlean Wagner, and Jackie Brown. We were all proud of Jan & Jerry's dancing skill and are looking forward to dancing with them on future visitations. 4 PRESIDENTS MESSAGE: We are having great support from our angels.. However, one problem I see is still not enough men. I really think it's not a good idea to dance beginning women with women partners at the beginning of class. Later on when they are used to the class it won't be so important. David Franks BOARD MEETING BRIEFS: OLD BUSINESS: Fund Raiser at Pizza Factory will be Wednesday, October 11. (25908 Newport Rd, CA :00 8:00 PM) After voting on the Badge design, a badge design was chosen. It will be the shape of the Canyon Lake badge with the dancer emblem on the top, person s name in the middle and Twirlers under the name. It will have a swinger with Menifee. Jackie will talk to Larry McBee about the cost. David Franks has agreed to hold the next yard sale at his home on Saturday, November 18. We started the new way of handling the 50/50 at the workshop/class and the Sunday Dance. There will only be one winner and will get half of what is taken in. At the workshop/class there will also be a coupon for a free workshop. Muriel mentioned that we should announce the amount of the ticket. NEW BUSINESS: New Members: Michelle Polly, Cynthia Vinkel approved. Jackie & Bill will be gone the whole month of October. NEXT MEETING: The next meeting will be Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in the Magnolia Room at the Canyon Lake Golf CourseDinner at 5:30pm at VIPs in Canyon Hills shopping center. The meeting will be at 7:00pm. RSVP to Earlean for dinner. center. CLASS NOTES: I don't know about you, but seeing all the people in attendance, Angels and Class, on our first class night was AWESOME! So awesome we had to rent the larger room. Unfortunately, some of the new class people didn't return the second night, but that was to be expected. It still looks like we will have a good class. One of the best things is our two young dancers there with their Mom. Our March Class is moving on and learning the Plus calls. Jan & Jerry, Jeannie & Doug Jolan, and Michele attended our September dance and did a fantastic job with a new caller, Buddy Weaver, and faster calling. Jan & Jerry went on our visitation to Calico Quails and danced the Mainstream tips. I hope more of our class members will go on visitations with us. October 3rd, class will move to a new location--faith Luthern Church. We were able to get more space (without a pole) for the same cost as the small room we were in at the Kay Ceniceros Center. The Church is at Portsmouth Dr. Sun City and really easy to find. A BIG Thank you to all the Angels who have come out and helped get the new class off to a good start. Hope you'll continue to come and support the class.
