Author Brighton Walsh (Tessa Ever After and Caged in Winter) will read from her new book Captive, talk about her writing process, and sign books. This is a great chance to meet an up-and-coming New Adult author! Advanced copies of Brighton Walsh s new book Captive will be available for purchase at the event from Forest Park s independent bookstore Centuries and Sleuths. We will also be joined by a representative from Penguin Random House to get the inside scoop on future 2015 bestsellers! Each registered attendee will go home with a Keep Calm and Read On tote bag filled with a variety of advanced reader copies from Penguin Random House. The event will begin at 7 pm with the doors opening at 6:30 pm. Light appetizers and drinks will be available. Make sure to reserve your spot today! Mondays with Miss Donna Mondays at 10:30 am through April 27 This traditional but flexible drop-in storytime is a great option for siblings of various ages and is followed by an exploratory art activity. Mother Goose & Babies Storytime Tuesdays at 9:30 am through April 28 This storytime, inspired by classic rhymes, focuses on short, interactive segments, adult-child bonding and repetition to optimize learning and language development. Ages 0-2. Spanish Storytime Wednesdays at 10:30 am through April 29 This fun and varied storytime features stories in songs in Spanish and English. Book Bonanza with Miss Maggie Thursdays at 10:30 am through April 30 This up-close and personal storytime features high energy, shorter stories, lots of motion and an exploratory art activity. Friday-Palooza Storytime Fridays at 10:30 am through May 1 This family storytime celebrates reading with a party atmosphere and a collaborative craft. Area libraries, including the Forest Park Public Library, are eagerly anticipating the implementation of a new catalog. This new system, which will go live on Tuesday, April 14, will bring some highly indemand features to the fingertips of library patrons and enhance the user experience. Library users can look forward to: Google-like searching Integrated ebooks and e-audiobooks to make it easier to search and download Simple service to place holds and designate pick up spots During this time, service may be slower than usual. Please bear with us through this transition. The final result is going to be a better system and service. Catalog Down The library catalog will be offline from Saturday, April 11 through Monday, April 13. Check Outs & Returns During the transition, patrons will still be able to check out and return items. No materials will be due and no fines will be accured between April 6 and April 20. PINs Current Personal Identification Numbers (PIN) will not transfer over. Each account s PIN will be updated to the last four digits of the phone number listed on the library card account. If you need to update the phone number, sign on to your online account before April 10 or stop by a library service desk.
