2 WHAT S HAPPENING IN YOUR LIBRARY BOOK GROUPS READING FOR CHILDREN TUESDAY NIGHT BOOK CLUB Enjoy the moderator s tasty treats while discussing The Blue Orchard by Jackson Taylor, a novel based on the life and trial of the author s grandmother, Vera Krone. Tuesday, November 3 rd ; 7pm MORNING STORY TIMES for ages 2-5 with a caregiver Story time introduces young children to books, music & other fun activities. Our story time includes the early literacy skills that children must master before they can learn to read. Wednesday Mornings November 4 th, 11 th, 18 th & 25 th ; 11am Thursday Mornings November 5 th, 12 th & 19 th ; 10:30am MORNING BOOK CLUB Join us to discuss the classic coming-of-age novel, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn by Anna Quindlen. Thursday, November 12 th ; 11am READ TO STELLA Stella is a standard poodle who received her therapy dog certificate and she loves being read to! Bring a favorite book from home or borrow one from the library. All reading levels welcome! Saturday, November 21 st ;11am COOK BOOK CLUB Every month, join us to discuss food, recipes and cooking on a budget. This month we will sample recipes from The Pioneer Woman Cooks by Ree Drummond. Bring samples of a prepared recipe to share. Won't be available to vote? Pick up an absentee ballot form the week before. Teens and tweens can vote in a mini-local election. Who will win? It's up to you!
