Are you happy with your life? This book follows Jason as he tries to figure out how to get back home to his real wife and son. Jason is just a simple teacher at a college, so when he gets kidnapped from family night, he is confused as to who is doing it and why they are taking him to an abandoned building. He gets knocked out and awakens into a world that is not his. Nothing is the same, and everything is wrong. He isn t married and has no kids. Thinking that it is a drug induced dream, Jason tries to figure out how to wake up and escape the prison that he is in. If you like books that make you think and wonder what if, this is the book Page 4 for you. Be sure to pay close attention to the box. Vita Nostra Marina Dyachenko Rebecca says: I will start this recommendation off by saying this is not a book for casual reading, nor does it have mass appeal, but (if you are continuing with this recommendation) the readers that find this book and are ready to go on a journey will be well rewarded with this Eastern European fantasy. Sasha is approached by a peculiar man while she is on vacation at the beach with her mother. This bespectacled man asks her to go swimming every morning. When she does not, mysterious accidents befall her loved ones. When she does, she vomits up strange gold coins. Once she amasses a certain amount, she is informed that she won t be attending the

What a weird, complex, wonderful ride of a novel that ended up being one of my favorite 2018 reads! The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle Stuart Turton Zach says: At 11:00 PM, Evelyn Hardcastle will be murdered again. This murder has happened countless times, and every time Aiden Bishop is too late to save her. Aiden wakes up in the body of a different person attending the same gala on the exact same day each time he falls asleep. This murder mystery is a complete mind bender that will, at times, have you almost drowning with all the twists and turns. But against all odds, it comes together in the end in a delightfully knotted solution. Looking for more great reads? Wanting some more recommendations? Join us for our Chinese New Year Celebration on February 5th at 4pm as we learn more about Chinese New Year Customs through stories, games, crafts, and much more. We will also be offering a special Black History Celebration on Saturday, February 9th at 10 am. This event will feature fun interactive activities for the entire family to enjoy, along with a few words from some special guest speakers who have made history. Bring the whole family and join us in learning about and celebrating these great holidays. See you in the Children s Department! Jessica Head of Children s Department Mandy Harvey continued from page 1 Mandy was born with hearing problems, but she was an avid musician from a young age. Her original goal of becoming a music educator came to an end during her first year of college, when she lost the last of her residual hearing. It was not long after that she came back to music, and discovering her ability to sing in tune even without her hearing, she was impossible to stop. She has since become a finalist in season 12 of America s Got Talent and a recording artist, with several albums of her original music to her credit. Her persistence, determination, and joy are continuing to inspire and melt the hearts of her audiences as speaks and performs around the country.
