All classes are on the cleaning phases of their competition numbers, fixing technique, working with their props, going over spacing and ensuring that all students know their choreography. Attendance is essential at this stage! Throughout the next month it is very important that you are keeping a close eye to all newsletters and posts both on Facebook and the TPDS Website so you do not miss any important information. We will post the Lethbridge Competition Schedule this week! We still have not received the Calgary Competition schedule yet, but will share as soon as we do. PRACTICE!! PRACTICE!! PRACTICE!! 2 FRIDAY APRIL 8th CLASS SCHEDULE Due to Festival of Stars - classes will be condensed today so dancers can make it to their dress Class Schedules. There will be NO SENIOR CLASSES today 2:45 Grade 4A Ballet 2:45 Pre-Sr Hip Hop 3:45 Hip Hop D 3:30 Pre-Sr Choreo 4:30 Tap 6 4:15 Grade 2 Ballet 5:15 Tap 5 5:00 Pre-Primary 6:00 Hip Hop C 5:45 Beg Hip Hop 6:45 DONE 7:15 DONE PINCHER REGISTRATION We will be holding our Pincher Spring Registration for our Pincher Creek Studio March 10th from 6-8pm at the Pincher Creek Pool Lobby FESTIVAL GROUP DRESS REHEARSAL We will be doing our Dress Rehearsals for all of our Competition Group Classes during the week of April 5th & 6th It is important that a parent attend during the schedule times so they will be aware of what is required for each classes costume (ie. pinning, accessories, etc) and any special hair & make up requests. Students will be required to do STAGE MAKEUP and their appropriate hair for that dance as well as proper shoes & tights. Tuesday April 5th 4:15-6:30 Grade 2 (Jazz D, Lyrical A, Hip Hop C, Tap 5) Grade 4A (Jazz F, Lyrical B, Hip Hop D, Tap 6) & Grade 1 (Jazz C, Tap 4) 6:30-9:30 Sr A / Sr B / Pre-Senior (ALL DANCES) No other regular classes today except TINY TOTS Wednesday April 6th 4:15-5:00 Primary & Jazz B, Pre-Primary Ballet 6:45-7:30 Grade 4B &Jazz E The following Wed Classes will run as regularly scheduled Kindercombo, Jazz B, Jazz C, Grade 1, Jazz E, Pre-Sr, Senior A & Senior B 6:00-6:45 Tap 3 & 4 will be combined for regular class at this time PROP MAKING & PAINTING We are in need of some parent volunteers to help make some of our props this year. We will be doing this mass prop building & painting on SATURDAY MARCH 19th from 10-3 at Hillcrest Studio Volunteering this day will go towards your volunteer hours required for the year end. Please see the front desk to signup or Miss Fenton to let her know you would like to assist us. We are looking for 10 Volunteers JAM MAKE-UP ORDER For those parents who were at our make up tutorial we had some sample Make up from JAM Cosmetics. Sweat-proof, hypo-allergenic makeup. Each Palette includes: One Blush, One Bronzer, Three Eyeshadows, and an Eyeliner. KIT PRICES IS - $83.20 We are however making it MANDATORY for each student to order a lipstick from this company as we have found it is great quality and a perfect shade for the stage and we would like all dancers to look the same. The price for lipsticks are : $21 The order needs to go in ASAP so we have the products by competition time. Order date is going in this week so all pre-orders must be paid into the front desk

FESTIVAL OF STARS SHOWS All of our solo, duo, trio and small groups will be strutting their stuff at our Festival of Stars Show on Saturday April 9th at MDM Community Centre.

3 FESTIVAL OF STARS SHOWS All of our solo, duo, trio and small groups will be strutting their stuff at our Festival of Stars Show on Saturday April 9th at MDM Community Centre. There will be two shows at 1 & 4 pm each show will be completely different. Please come out and support your fellow TPDS dancers and help them prepare for dance competitions. Cost for one show will be $7.00 & both shows $10.00 Tickets are on sale March 14th Dress Rehearsal & Show Times are both posted on Facebook & the TPDS website TPDS PHOTO DAY This years photo days will be held on Mon May 9 & Tues May 10th at the Hillcrest Dance Studio schedules are posted on both Facebook and the TPDS website. Any private solo, duos, etc may only come during the scheduled times. We will not fit any in between group EASTER WEEK CLASSES MARCH 25th -April 2nd There will be NO CLASSES on Good Friday or Saturday but we will still have regular classes & privates during the Easter Week Break as Competition is only a few weeks after it is very important all dancers attend classes! TIGHTS & SHOE LISTS We have posted all of the lists for shoes, tights, hair etc for each class see either Facebook or the TPDS website for the complete lists. Please remember to purchase multiple tights incase of tears or they get stained PRIVATE COSTUMES We are still waiting for our Art Stone Costumes to arrive the middle of March as well as a few from Weismann s. Any students who are providing their own costumes your instructor must see and approves these costumes by March 15th. Parents are responsible for any alterations needed for any solo costume. FACEBOOK PROBLEM We have had some trouble with people opening the files & calendars from the facebook app on their phones. We have discovered that you need to open facebook from your browser on your phone then you are able to access any of the files. We also have them posed on our website as well if any troubles arise. STATEMENTS & CHILD TAX FORMS All Dance Statements & Child Tax Forms have been handed out the past week if you have not received them please check your child s dance bag or come see the front desk to receive your copies.

Tickets for the Saturday May 21st Evening & Sunday May 22nd Matinee Senior Shows will be $15 for all ages For any TPDS Student who performs only in the Junior Show may purchase tickets for either Senior show at a reduced rate of $10. (all audience members are required to have a ticket in accordance to the university theatre rules) 2016 SUMMER DANCE CAMPS We will again be holding our annual Summer Dance Camp from July 4-7 at our Hillcrest Dance Studio for all dancers 6 and up. Students will be instructed in all disciplines of dance And new to this year we will be holding a MINI DANCE CAMP from July for those OUR YEAR END SHOW NEWSLETTER WITH ALL THE DATES AND TIMES WILL BE OUT WITH IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS younger dancers and will only be about 2 1/2 hours a day. BROCHURES WILL BE OUT IN NEXT MONTH YEAR END SHOW FINALE COSTUMES This year for our finale costumes we will be ordering PJ bottoms for each dancer costs TBA Students will purchase the bottoms through the studio and will be able to keep them after the show. Each student will be required to supply their own plain white top (T-shirt, tank top or long sleeved top). Office Hours for March have changed please look closely
