There is NO PARKING in The Manor Subdivision to the north of Central Park. You may be ticketed and towed if you park here. Parking is allowed at GCHS in their north side parking areas, at The Central Park Circle at the end of Library Lane, along the south side of Library Lane (against the fence and bushes, not on the park side), at The Grayslake Aquatic Center, and at Grayslake Middle School. Team Wall/SI Play Mobile App We will once again this year be implementing a mobile application allowing mobile access to all pertinent information for your Colt s teams (Football, Cheer & Dance). The mobile app is ALL NEW this year due to Sport s Illustrated purchasing our webhost last year. Please download to your mobile device (Android or IOS) the NEW SI Play Application. This is a FREE download. Once your athlete has been assigned to their teams, we will be activating the new applications. Please note: If you downloaded last year s Team Wall app, please delete it now as it is being discontinued by Sport s Illustrated and will not be fully supported going forward. Note: If your athlete will NOT be at a practice, game, competition, or event, you must directly notify your coach via text, , or phone call (your coach and/or TC will let you know their preferred method) prior to checking the attendance box on the mobile app. Please Mark at info@grayslakecolts.org with any questions or concerns. 2 Football, Cheer & Dance Practices Football athletes should now be assigned to and practicing with their teams. Practice information should have been provided by their coaches or TC s and will be available soon on the SI Play App. Cheer/Dance athletes are already participating in regular season practice. Schedules are being posted on the website scheduler as well as sent to you by your team coaches and/or team coordinator. Please contact your child s coach with any scheduling issues. As a reminder, all practices starting on 8/1 and continuing through most of the month of August will be outdoors at The GMS and Aquatic Center Fields. Uniform & Equipment Update If your cheerleader or dancer still needs their uniform and/or their warmups, Nassy will be by during practice this week to fit them. Our football athletes can come to the Colt s Barn on Seymour St across from city hall on Thursday, August 11 th from 8:00PM until 8:30PM to address any issues that there may be with their equipment. Family Pool Party We would like to say thank you to everybody who came out to have fun and supported our new Spirit Wear Vendor at the party. We had 425 athletes and family members support this fun event this year! Colt s Yard Signs & Window Clings Orders EXTENDED Until Wednesday, August 10th This year s yard signs and window clings are now available for order. Please fill out the order form and return to your to either Sheree or Mark at The Aquatic Field Concession Stand on or before Wednesday, August 10 th, We will be there from 5:30-7:30. The order form is attached at the back of this newsletter or can be accessed on our website at Family Personalized Shirts Order Closes Friday, August 12th Our football customized shirt orders are now available and can be turned into Sheree or Mark on Wednesday at The Aquatic Field Concession from 5:30PM to 7:30PM or to your TC by Friday, August 12 th, We have attached an order form at the end of this newsletter. Colt s Spirit Wear Order #1 Closes Sunday, August 14th Many of our wearables will be available on-line only this season. We will carry a very limited quantity in the concession stand, and unless otherwise noted, not all items that are online will be available for purchase at concessions, so we strongly encourage you to order online during the dates ordering is open to ensure your favorite item is available. Our 1 st order for wearables is attached below and is available on our website at the following locations: Football: Cheer & Dance: This is an online order only and is due no later than August 14 th. Colt s Spirit Wear Order #2 For those that were unable to make it to our annual pool party, forgot your wallet, or couldn t decide, all of the spirit wear that was available at the pool party will be available on-line. Once we have all of the details, we will post on our website so stay tuned for more information!

3 Colts Pictures Cheer & Dance: Our cheer & dance 2016 individual and team pictures will be on Monday, August 15 th at the Grayslake Middle School West Field (Behind GMS). Your coach will send more information soon. Your coach or TC will send more information soon. Dine N Share Monday, August 15th Come show your support for your Grayslake Colts. Stop into Dog N Suds Drive-In at 454 Center Street in Grayslake (walking distance from the Central Park & Aquatic Center Fields on Monday, August 15, 2016 from 4:30PM until 9:00PM. 10% of your total sale will be donated to the Grayslake Colts to support our young athletes! Football Pre-Season Scrimmages and Games August 19 th through 21st Our football teams will be participating in scrimmages at Grayslake Central High School on August 19 th and will be participating in pre-season games in Antioch on August 20 th and/or 21 st. More details will be provided as available. Grayslake Days Parade- Saturday, August 20th Once again, we will be participating in The Grayslake Days Parade!!! This is such a fun event for us and we love getting out there are showing our Colt s pride to the town. This year s parade is on Saturday, August 20 th. It starts at Grayslake Central High School and ends downtown Grayslake. Times and more details will be provided as soon as they are available. We are planning a float and our cheer/dance teams are preparing special routines for this year. Let s make this our biggest participation ever! Grayslake North High School Youth Night - Friday, August 26th Mark your calendars. This is a fun event every year for our athletes and their families. Teams will be introduced on the field between the sophomore and varsity games. Our cheer & dance teams will also be invited to perform during the varsity pregame. Watch for more details soon! Charity Mania Incentive Earn $$$ off of 2017 registration! **ONLY 4 WEEKS LEFT** As you know, our primary fundraiser of the year is Charity Mania. All profits from Charity Mania go straight into the Colts and are used for helmets, uniforms, equipment and other improvements, which is why we stress participation. This year, we have an exciting incentive planned for all families! After your first 10 tickets sold, you will receive a Colts license plate frame. Sell 20 tickets and earn $20 off of 2017 registration, and for every addition 10 tickets sold, you continue to earn $20 towards 2017 fees! This year, we will also be offering on-line ticket sales to make it easier to sell to family and friends that do not live close by.
