Bus service is available at designated bus stops. USD 382 will also be offering the summer lunch program to all youth ages 1-18, regardless of need, 11:30-12:30 at PHS. TENNIS LESSONS & MINI CAMPS Get started in a lifetime sport with tennis! Learn the fundamentals, techniques and how to keep score. 2 YOUTH ARTS & CRAFTS SESSIONS: 5 weeks, Mondays OR Tuesdays OR Wednesdays, June 8-July 8 DEADLINE: Wednesday, June 3 FEE: $10 per class, $15 after deadline LOCATION: PHS Art Room, 1st Floor of HS INSTRUCTOR: Kerry Thieme *Pre-Registration is required. Maximum of 25 students per class, first come-first serve basis. **Grade completed in 2015 school year. Mixed Media: Grades K-8 This class includes painting, drawing, acrylic, water color, colored pencil, charcoal, pencil, ink, landscape, still life and abstract. Art Projects: Grades 2-8 This class will include several projects in various art styles and crafts. Printmaking, T-Shirt graphics, paper mache, country crafts and more. Most supplies will be included, however, each participant will need to bring a T-Shirt for tye dye. Clay Building: Grades K-8 Learn to make pots and other projects from scratch. All supplies provided. Each class will focus on strength, flexibility & basic floor tumbling. The instructor will adjust the students if needed according to skill level after the first day. DANCE (Ballet & Jazz): Each class will learn short routines along with stretch, strengthening, & basic dance skills. Ages 4-7 will learn ballet routines. Ages 8-14 will learn jazz routines. CHEER: This class will cover tumbling, jumps, motions & stunts. 6 PRATT RECREATION SUMMER YOUTH PROGRAM JUNE 1st JULY 10th Summer Youth Recreation is a program of supervised daily activities for youth who were in Kindergarten - 5th grade this past year. Summer youth is designed for parents and children to pick and choose activities of interest. A bus service (see below) is available to pick up and deliver children to the daily activities. **Children NOT riding the bus should NOT be dropped off at the designated activity before 9:30 a.m and should be picked up by 11:15 a.m as no supervision will be available. Summer Youth activities are held Monday Friday mornings, June 4th - July 13th, 9:30 a.m - 11:15 a.m. A daily activity calendar (back side of this page) is included with this packet to help you choose which activities your child would like to participate in. These activities are offered free or at a nominal fee. The daily calendar lists activities, locations, special needs, and days that you need to send money with your child. **On the Fishing Days, please do not send a tackle box with your child and make sure the hook is secure with tape to the pole. In case of rain, activities will be moved to the Municipal Bldg. or Community Center call the hotline for specific location. Daily activity updates and locations are available each morning by calling the DISCIPLINE POLICY: It is our goal of Summer Youth to be a safe & enjoyable experience for all participants. With this in mind, any individual causing conflict on the bus or at any activity will be handled in the following manner. 1st Incident: A warning is given 2nd Incident: Ten minute time-out in an area away from the rest of the class. 3rd Incident: PRC office will be called & will notify parent asking them to pick-up their child. Conference with parent, child & PRC staff. 4th Incident: Child will be suspended from the program for a length of time determined by Staff. ***If a child at anytime attacks a staff member or another child they will be suspended from the program for the remainder of the year. BUS SERVICE Those wanting to ride the bus need to be at one of the 15 pick up points listed below. Children will be dropped off by noon at the same bus stop following the completion of the daily activity if they do not eat lunch. Each Bus Stop will be designated with a Summer Recreation sign. The bus will NOT leave the pick up point before the listed time. The first week the bus route schedule could be a little slow depending on the number of children participating. Bus Policy: 1. No standing while bus is moving. 2. No feet in the aisles. 3. No hands or heads out the window. 4. Do not throw things out the window. 5. No shouting.
