2 Hi all March 2011 Well it appears that the summer weather is nearly over and autumn is round the corner, so we are preparing to keep you all busy at Wellington Rock n Roll to help the winter fly by. AMERICARNA at the P.W.M.C, February what a great week! Our Club Members turned up in good numbers to participate in all the demos. We were aptly supported by all the local clubs which made for a great display of Rock n Roll dancing over the 3 nights. Those watching got to enjoy some fantastic jumps and great routines put on display by the young and old alike. For those of you into American cars, for that matter any car with grunt the Friday night drive by down Jackson Street, Petone was awesome. By all the good reports we should see this event again next year. Following the Americana week was Rock in in the Hutt Sunday 27th. This event kicked off last year and our club members did extremely well in the dance competition. Congratulations to our juniors who did very well this year. You would think our members would be all rock in rolled out but no they once again turned out to give another great demo, my thanks to you all. I do hope you all enjoyed our Beach Hop, due to a family Engagement party I only got to enjoy the later part of the evening. Junior Nationals is just around the corner and I hope you have all bought your tickets as this event is selling out really fast, be there or be square. Senior Nationals 2011 is also gathering momentum with fund raising well under way. If you want to be involved see Wendy or Yi who I am sure will point you in the right direction (depending which way they are holding their compass of course). We all may moan, groan and lament about life, and Wellington s weather but until you turn your eyes south you don't realise how lucky we are. My thoughts are with those poor people. I hope that things turn out well for all in the future and their faith is not dimmed. I will say a prayer for them this night as I have in the past, each to their own. Well good people its time for me to close out my one typing finger is sore, look forward to seeing you all at the next hop if not sooner. JOHN ROWAN PRESIDENT 2
