2 celebrate good times, Come on! When your team hadn t won a Championship in over 40 years, and your parent affiliate won for the first time in 108 years, it s hard to stop the celebration. Following a stellar year in 2016, the Eugene Emeralds looked to continue their winning ways on, but more importantly, off the field.

3 Championship fridays The Emeralds celebrated the 2016 Northwest League Title with Championship Fridays and special Championship-inspired giveaways all summer long. The team took the field every Friday in special gold twilled jerseys, inspired by the Chicago Cubs Opening Day jerseys.

4 promotions & giveaways Fans were able to bring home a piece of history with Championship-inspired giveaways that included a shirt immortalizing the 2016 Ems roster, Championship ring replica, freezer mug, Championship puzzle and Baseballism (local Oregon company) hat. The Emeralds also celebrated the Ems manager Jesus Feliciano, who was named 2016 NWL Manager of the Year and returned to Eugene for the 2017 season, with his own personal bobble head! PK Park also received visitors from Chicago throughout the season with the Clark the Cub in June and the World Series Trophy in August.

5 American Hero Adventures 2017 marked the start of an ongoing partnership with local non-profit, American Hero Adventures. American Hero Adventures strives to provide our nations finest, and their loved ones, with adventures of a lifetime. Throughout the summer the Emeralds and American Hero Adventures welcomed over 600 heroes and their family members to the ballpark. The culmination of the partnership occurred on August 11th with American Hero Night. The night featured 300 heroes and family members and raised roughly $2,300 for future adventures through donations, beverage sales, and a specialty jersey auction!

6 Ems in the community The Eugene Emeralds team and staff are dedicated to providing the best in family entertainment, and strongly believe in always giving back to the community. This year the Emeralds continued to build their relationships with the community through ticket and merchandise donations, attending and hosting community events, player & mascot appearances and front office involvement. In their short three month stay in Eugene, players made time to visit local libraries, hospitals and the Boys and Girls Club, logging over 400 hours out in the community. Sluggo led the charge in the Emeralds annual Reading Program, visiting over 50 schools encouraging students to read. The Emeralds helped raise over $300,000 for various chariritable organizations as the staff took part in challenges for Special Olympics, ALS and many more.

7 Boys and girls club - Field of Dreams On July 22, PK Park and the Emeralds hosted the Field of Dreams Dinner and Auction for the third year in a row. This event featured a VIP cocktail party in the Emeralds locker room, a silent auction and dinner on the baseball diamond. Emeralds staff were on hand to volunteer their time and expertise to help raise much needed funds for the Boys and Girls Club.

8 The Emeralds continued their tradition of wacky in-game promotions. They brought back their Golden Bobblehead Award winning Selfie Cam, the rocking tunes of a live ballpark organist, and fan-favorites Beer Batter & Ball Brawl. The team also embraced Tracktown with their live Sasquatch race. Each game a lucky fan laced up their shoes and went toe-to-toe with the Fastest Squatch in the World. Kids Run the Bases also made a triumphant return on Sundays. In-Game Entertainment

9 Weekly Promotions Day of the week promotions helped drive traffic to the stadium this year. Fans took advantage of Good Karma Mondays, where they could name their own ticket price with half of their purchase going to a local nonprofit. Aside from being one of the most attended nights of the week, fans raised over $6,000 for five local nonprofits. Families also enjoyed Kids Eat Free Wednesdays with children under 12 enjoying a free hot dog, chips and soda. Adults loved the return of $3 Thursdays, where they could enjoy $3 tickets, parking and a discount on the Chicago favorite, Old Style beer.

10 Throwback sundays Every Sunday, the team took a step back to the past as they donned special throwback jerseys from the early 70 s, including knee high pants and stirrups. The look was topped off by a special throwback hat with the team s original script E logo. The throwback cap was highly sought after by fans around the nation.

11 the heart of a champion The Emeralds were able to make the Playoffs for the second year in a row and even made it to the NWL Championship Series. Although the team came up just short of defending their NWL Title, the fans showed what being a Champion really meant. During all three Playoff games the Emeralds hosted, fans raised money for those effected by natural disasters that hit our country this Summer. For the NWL Division series, fans raised $2,542 for Hurricane Harvey Relief and $1,283 for outfielder Zach Davis, a Houston native whose family was displaced from their home due to the hurricane. For the NWL Championship series, fans raised over $3,806 for the American Red Cross Oregon Wildfire Relief Fund.

Overall, the Emeralds celebrated another banner year in Eugene as they saw their SEVENTH CONSECUTIVE nomination for the Larry MacPhail Award out of the Northwest League.
