General Rules - Wherever applicable, the rules f the USFSA will apply. All ther rules will be utlined in this annuncement. The cmpetitin is pen t all skaters wh are eligible members f US Figure Skating. All skaters must cmpete at the same level in all events. This cmpetitin will be judged using the 6.0 system f judging r IJS where indicated. Entries - All Entries must be received, nt pstmarked, r received nline thrugh Entryeeze n later than Saturday, March 9, Entry fees will nt be refunded after the deadline unless n cmpetitin exists r the event is canceled. There will be n refunds fr medical withdrawals. Please Nte: If space is available, late entries will be accepted at the discretin f the registrar and chief referee. A $35 late entry fee will be assessed. Entry frm changes made after the entry clsing date will be assessed a $30 change fee ($50 the week f the cmpetitin if apprved by the Chief Referee). PLEASE CHECK YOUR ENTRY CAREFULLY WITH YOUR COACH BEFORE ENTERING. Changes requested after the entry deadline may be made at the discretin f the cmpetitin cmmittee, but are nt guaranteed. There will be NO changes made the week f the cmpetitin. All ther event levels fllw the age restrictins in the current USFS Rulebk unless new age restrictins will be in effect. The cmmittee reserves the right t limit the number f entries due t time cnstraints and t cmbine male and female skaters when needed t have an event. In Shwcase events, where n cmpetitin exists at a level, levels may be cmbined. Music: Music must be upladed int Entryeeze by midnight April 1 st. There will be a $25 fee fr music t be upladed after the deadline. All files need t be in MP3 frmat. CD s will nt be cllected at check in table but a CD shuld be readily available as a backup incase the upladed music des nt wrk prperly. All skaters must be full members f US Figure Skating. THERE IS A $30 FEE FOR RETURNED CHECKS. There will be n refunds after clse f entries. Facilities The Apex Center has 2 indr ice surfaces, each measuring 200 x 85' with runded edges. An Aquatic Center (3 swimming pls with slides and play area), exercise facilities and day care 2

3 center are als available n site at a daily rate, which will be discunted fr cmpetitrs and their families. A Snack Bar and spectatr seating are als available. N admissin will be charged. Vide/Pht We are planning t have bth services available. The cmmittee will make every attempt t ensure that the cst is reasnable. We will attempt t ntify everyne if we will nt prvide bth services. Liability U.S. Figure Skating, Mile High Figure Skating Assciatin, Alpine Skating Club and The Apex Center accept n respnsibility fr injury r damage sustained by any participant in this cmpetitin. This is in accrdance with Rule 1600 f the fficial U.S. Figure Skating Rulebk. Imprtant Ntice Fr All Caches U.S. Figure Skating Rule MR 5.11 Cach Cmpliance. In rder t be granted access t wrk within U.S. Figure Skating sanctined activities, each cach must be a current full member f U.S. Figure Skating, must have cmpleted safe sprt training, must cmplete the cach registratin prcess thrugh the U.S. Figure Skating, must cmplete the apprpriate CER curses and must submit prf f current general liability insurance. The lcal rganizing cmmittee/club will have a list f cmpliant caches wh are cleared fr a credential at the cmpetitin. Caches will need t check in at the event registratin desk and shw a gvernment issued pht I.D. t receive a credential - n exceptins. We strngly urge all caches t have their cards with them. Nn-credentialed caches will nt be permitted in the designated caching area at rink side during events including practice sessins. Caching at U.S. Figure Skating events withut cmpliance is an ethics vilatin which is reprted t U.S. Figure Skating and PSA. Fr mre infrmatin regarding Cach Cmpliance, please refer t: Practice Practice ice fr the cmpetitin will be available the mrning f the cmpetitin. The fee fr each sessin will be $16 per skater/singles/pairs/duets, and will be assigned n a first cme, first served basis in the rder frms are received. Additinal sessins may becme available during the day as ur schedule permits. Judging All beginning events will be judged in 6.0 The fllwing deductins will be taken: 0.1 frm each mark fr each technical element included that is nt permitted in the event descriptin. 0.2 frm the technical mark fr each extra element included. 0.1 frm the technical mark fr any spin that is less than the required minimum revlutins. All figure events will be judged in 6.0. The IJS will be used fr all Excel PLUS levels, and intermediate thrugh senir Excel levels. All ther Excel levels will be judged n the 6.0 judging system. All well-balanced Free Skate events, shrt prgrams, spins, jumps, and ftwrk events will be judged using IJS. All cmpetitrs skating in IJS Free Skate r shrt prgram events need t 3

4 submit the Planned Prgram Cntent (PPC) frm nline via the Funtastics EntryEeze site. The frms can be fund by clicking the Planned Prgram Cntent link and shuld be submitted by April 1 st r a $25 late fee will be applied. The frms CAN NOT be turned in at the cmpetitin. All events indicated as IJS will be judged n paper using the IJS judging system. Funtastics - Skaters will be divided by age int grups f six skaters r less in all divisins. Caches are expected t enter their skaters at the apprpriate level. Awards will be presented t all six participants at each level immediately fllwing the psting f the fficial results. There will be n final runds. Prps and scenery are allwed but must be placed and remved by the unaided skater within 10 secnds and there shuld be n debris, live prps, fire r water. A change f ft is nt mandatry; hwever it demnstrates bilateral skating ability and will be cnsidered in the verall scre. Judges will evaluate the creative figure n its creativity, executin, edge, and turn quality.
