A fantastic day was had by all. Fine wining and dining, sweeps to win (congratulations to the winners!!), hat parade, singing and dancing. A thankyou to the bevy of helpers who assisted with set up/pack down, food and many other tasks. We all know who we are without your assistance and enthusiasm, this day would not have been possible. Financial social members, financial playing members and life members are entitled to attend and vote at the meeting, or may appoint a proxy in writing. 4 OC 2017 Summer Academy Welcome to the lunch of the inaugural Junior Old Collegians Summer Academy 2017 Who can attend? - Under 8s to U18s, parents / guardians and brothers / sisters are all welcome. This is a great opportunity to bring a new friend to the club. When will it take place? - Old Collegians will be hosting 6 Academy Sessions on Wednesday evenings, running from Wednesday 18 th Jan to Wednesday 22 nd Feb The academy with culminate in a family beach touch rugby tournament on a date to be confirmed. What time? - Each session will run from 6pm to 7:30pm and will predominantly be held at Tregenza Oval, Booth Ave, Linden Park SA 5065, but we may vary the venue dependent on interest. What happens at the Academy? - Each session will be tailored specific to fitness, rugby oriented drills and of course plenty of fun games. A number of coaches will run each session. What if it s too hot? - If the temperature is or forecasted to be in excess of 35 degrees a notice will be posted on the Old Collegians Rugby Club Face book page to advice that the academy session will be cancelled. Will the club be open? - To get you back into the swing of Wednesday Nights at Tregenza the club and bar will be open. Is there a cost? - The cost for the 6 sessions, which will also include an Academy Singlet and Shorts will be $50-00/ participant. A small booking fee of 3.85% (incl. GST) will be charged by Ticketebo for your online registration. How do I join? - To guarantee the delivery of your personalised singlet & shorts at the start of the Academy on the 18 th January 2017 it is vital that you register online by the 7 th December 2016, order your merchandise and provide us with your NAME which will appear on the chest of your personalised singlet. 7 Wine Fundraiser OLD COLLEGIANS COLTS NEW ZEALAND TOUR WINE FUNDRAISER In April 2017, Old Collegians is sending a group of our up and coming players to New Zealand to take on some of their best. The team will play 3 games in various locations on the South Island. To assist in our players getting there, we are undertaking a range of fundraising activities including a wine fundraiser and would ask that you support the boys by purchasing some wine. The chosen wines represent great quality at affordable prices and are available as dozens (straight or mixed), half dozens, or by the bottle. Please see attached the order form that details the wines that have been selected. Once you have decided which wines you would like to purchase, please complete the form, make payment via the details on the form (either on line or by providing credit card details) and forward the form to me for processing at tony@connektup.com.au Please forward this order form to any friends who you think might be interested as we would like to get the support of the wider community as well. 9 Dates for your Diary Christmas Function An invitation is extended to all members of the Club to join in the Christmas Spirit at the Old Collegians Christmas Celebration to finish off such a successful year at the Club. Saturday December 17th from 5pm. Bring a Platter to share and bar open Father Christmas will arrive at approx 6pm Games for the children Fun and fellowship for all! Clubroom Closure The Club rooms will close over the Christmas, New year period from 19 th December 17 th January. The bar will open on Wednesday nights during the Summer Academy sessions : 18 th January 22 nd February. Gaelic Football Come out and support our co-tenants at the Gaelic Football State Gala Day Sunday 18th December 2016 at Tregenza Oval Cocktail Birthday Party Old Collegians is turning 80 in 2017 Yes! it is 5 years since the 75th Ball how times flies! We will commence the year of celebrating this milestone with a Cocktail Party to be held on Saturday 25th February In the Clubrooms More details in the new year. Let s start the year with a Bang!
