1 This is a new way to help keep everyone informed with what is going on in Niskayuna Football. In these Newsletters we will be able to promote what the Student-Athletes have been doing along with getting out important up to date information. We all know dates, times etc. change all the time and this will be a great way to communicate and also be friendly reminders for upcoming events. Included in these will also be attendance reports and anything else that needs to be done by the Student-Athletes in order for us to be successful. Over Regents week Coach Grastorf, Jeff Halusic, and Richie Quinn visited the Middle School lunches to talk with kids about playing football. Uniforms, helmets, and highlight tape were on display, while the students signed up for football on IPads.

Football WORKOUTS Mondays - Thursdays 3:00-4:15 pm NHS Weight Room Thursday mornings 6:15-7:20am New Gym Warror Project Liftoff: February 28th at 3:30pm Expect everyone involved with football to attend. 7 v 7 Saturday nights 8:30-11pm Sportsplex of Halfmoon SECTION 2 FOOTBALL COMBINE May 20 th at Waterviliet High School. Testing scores that will be sent out to Colleges, as well as the Top 250 will go to the State Combine at Ithaca College! As a Coaching Staff we expect everyone to participate in the Warrior Project Liftoff on February 28th. This will be a great opportunity to get everyone s lifting numbers and start setting goals for the upcoming season. If they cannot attend they need to come and see Coach Grastorf. Also looking to purchase a Strength Board where the Top lifting numbers for football will be posted in the Weight Room!

In the "To" spot, type In the message spot, type the following: For Everyone Google Calendar Log onto and click on the link that says Team Calendar this calendar will be added to your Google Calendar and any changes will be directly updated right on your phone Leadership council is made up of a select number of players from each grade. They are responsible for 8-10 players, making sure they are attending events and doing the right things. They receive points for weight room, workouts, 7 v 7 s, and community service. In the next edition you will see the point system and who has been attending or not attending what they should be. I learned how to communicate effectively, think critically, and most importantly, I found out that the downs are just as valuable as the ups.
